So I got this Mamoswine and I want it to have Thick Fat instead of Snow Cloak. So I'm breeding it with a male Farfetch'd (lol) until I get a Swinub with Thick Fat. But every one that hatches just has snow cloak. I've hatched like 4 or 5 by now. Am I just getting unlucky or am I doing something wrong?

Isn't Thick Fat a hidden ability?
 
So I have a Modest Gengar with 252SpA and 252Spd and 28IV in Speed.

There's so many moves I want to put on it but I'm unsure what kind of set would be the best. Do I keep Mean Look or is Infestation better ? Do I put Substitute and other more tactical moves ? If I want to sweep, I'm thinking :

Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Dazzling Gleam
Thunderbolt

Any suggestions ?

Thick Fat is a Hidden Ability.
You can't get it unless you get a Friend Safari Piloswine.

I just repeat the Elite 4 with Experience O-Powers along with the daily rival battle. It's slow though, but there doesn't seem to be any other good spots. It's kind of a drag to level new pokemon past 40-50ish that you might want to use unless you have trade exp. boost combined with the affection bonuses and lucky egg boost.
 
Anyone able to explain breeding to me? I really want to breed a Timid or Modest Zorua with Extrasensory and Dark Pulse. How do I do this? I have a Ditto if that is required.

well fuck that's a hassle. seems like even if i wanted to fill up my friend list with people i'd probably run out of spots to add people before i came across a swinub/piloswine/mamoswine. how do people do this shit?
 
I'll repost: trying to get all the eeveelutions but I cant find another thunderstone , I've done the super training several times with no luck...is there anywhere to buy them? Or another item location ?

Get a Male Vulpix level it up until it learns Extrasensory and breed it with a Female Zorua/Zoroark.
Dark Pulse is a TM this gen.
 
My newegg pre-order for X finally arrived (shouldn't have used free shipping lol). Y will be here next monday hopefully.

Geez the visuals sure look pretty rough. What's up with the pixelated textures on some surfaces? Oh well, game looks fun anyway and its been ages since I last played a pokemon game (one of the gba games) so I'm looking forward to this.

Is this the thread where we share friend codes by the way?

i could try to find someone with a piloswine in theri friend safari since i am looking for that as well and then breed it. Basically if you have someone with pilowswine in their safari and they are online there's a chance of finding one with thick fat ability
 
I was about to release a group of Pokemons again when I realized that I have German Panpour and a French Sandile. Might as well keep them since Japanese Pokemons are way more common in Wonder Trade.
 
I think I just caught a shiny slowpoke. It sparkled when it appeared in the grass, threw a dusk ball and captured it. It's not the shade of pink slowpoke normally is.

Is it a useless pokemon?

So the Mega Stones are version exclusive right. Like the Mega Stone dude can't sell me a Charizardite Y in my X version.
 
where on route 13 is the electric rock used to evolve magneton?

edit: nvm. apparently there isn't a specific rock. you just level him up in that route.

Also, I'm a little disappointed that the Gym Leaders and Elite 4 didn't have a role in the story outside of their respective gyms. Besides Korrina. I really liked that about Gen V (and Gen IV, I believe?)

Yeah, Gym Leaders engaged in the story should be the norm after Gen V. Or at least give them a little back story so they don't end up as gym badge bot. The reason why I like HGSS so much is because collecting Gym Leader Pokegear number sometime shed something about them (like Mikan/Jasmine revealed to be a big eater). Meeting Gym Leader for a rematch should be a post-game thing, with side quest if possible. But I still don't get it why Game Freak always neglect such feature even after HGSS :/

Meanwhile, the sight of Durant in battle train always give shiver down to my spine. That speed and Rock Edge never bode well for my team.
 
I don't exactly understand the benefits of the Mega Evolutions. Do they bring stat benefits? Is there any reason I shouldn't use them at all times? What are the differences between the X and Y unique Mega Evolutions?
