Question about the Masuda Method.

If I were to accidentally say "No" to the breeder if he asks if I want the egg, would that reset the Masuda Method?

Best nature for Yveltal? Just used capture O power and a Quick Ball and got him on my first turn. Debating on resetting...

I finally managed to get all the Kanto and Kalos starters. Now I need to figure out how to get all the Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova starters. I should probably continue the game though. Only have 4 badges so far and I spent like 3 hours yesterday just trying to hatch Eevee eggs.

You won't be able to get them until around Christmas time, unfortunately. -_-

Unfortunately no, you need a parent with the hidden ability as well, and the other parent shouldn't be ditto for the ability to inherit.
If you breed a male with a DW ability with a Ditto, then you can get babies with the DW ability. Same for females and Ditto.

However, females are recommended because only females pass down their pokeballs. Yes, this even applies to breeding with Ditto. If you're going through all that trouble then you might as well ensure you get the right pokeball!

I'm a bit sad I'm one shotting everything, I didn't even get to see
Lysandre's Mega Gyarados :(

Doesn't it
mega the turn he brings it out
? Your team must be overleveled though, as
Lysandre
was one of the few people who were actually somewhat of a challenge.

I'm assuming this is for aesthetic only?
The only pokeball aesthetic I care about is timer ball and it's a pain to quickly catch anything with it. Most of my catches are quick ball and it's downright ugly.

So, me and another Smogoner named kd24 tested this out, based on a tip from a user named pepiux...

Defog now removes hazards on BOTH sides!

Wow, this really is a balancing gen. now Stealth Rock is FAR easier to remove if you're okay with not having it either. Same deal for Spikes, this is gonna be a HUGE change for 6vs6 metagames. Especially Ubers which was so hazards based.

Well, I guess Charizard might finally get it's revenge...

Well, it was actually the closest Pokemon to my level I've seen yet, But my Heliolisk was faster and that 4x weakness is no joke :p

I am indeed overleveled but more than that, I got so hooked up with Super Trained earlier in the game that my whole team is EV trained >_>

Greninja, Charizard, Tyrantrum, Sylveon, Aegislash and Heliolisk is my team Greninja at Lv. 62 and the rest are 58-59 lol.

Are you for real man? Don't be playin with me!

Just beat the Pokemon League.

Sylveon's become my favourite pokemon of Gen VI, she absolutely wrecked the Elite 4 and the Champion.

So rapid spin is essentially dead?
Does defog remove leech seed as well now?
It doesn't learn it officially, but it can use it via Nature Power if you are in caves which is just kinda silly here Gamefreak.
I'm painfully aware of this. Nature Power has been on it's moveset since I got it (Nature Power TM too good).

It's for real man, Defog destroys hazards! I even have the code for the battle video if you want more proof. 9GKW - WWWW - WWWX - KFNN

Maybe Stealth Rock will still see use, but I think this might kill Spikes. Say what you want about the amount of new Pokémon, but competitive Pokémon has been shaken up massively by this gen so far, and there's still lots of mechanics to test!

Are all legendary pokemon in this game? In GTS I see a lot of people seeking pokemon I thought weren't in the game, like suicune, mew, celebi, and others.

I agree, I really like that it is a TM now and it has been changed to become special moves instead.

With Refrigerate, I basically already have Ice Beam but also with a chance to burn and paralyze!

But Defog was a HM in the 4th generation, almost nothing should learn it now. It's pretty cool though. Does Defog also removes weather? Because if a lead Noivern gets it then it can pretty much ignore Tyranitar set ups.

Anyway, I just learned that Mega Banette Prankster doesn't active the turn it Mega evolves, making him useless just sitting there being slow as fuck until the next turn. Damn GameFreak Banette was so awesome on Gen3, Physical Hidden Power Fighting/Shadow Ball gave him amazing coverage and free up 2 stat moves of your choosing. Then Gen 4 took that away, forcing him to use weak moves like Shadow Sneak and pretty much get wall by every steel pokemon, then gen 5 came alone and it gave him absolutely nothing and now gets an useless Mevo with bad stats. >_<.

Ice Beam is 90 power though while Tri Attack is 80. Although I suppose you could compliment it with Frost Breath, although in that case the superior complimentary is Freeze-Dry for the water-type coverage.

I'd think they would mention it if it removed weather.

And a few generations of games in between won't stop people from getting it on their pokemon. If it can learn it, people will find a way.

Unless Pokebank acts strange, you can actually get Defog into gen 5 by trading the Defog Pokémon into HGSS, since it's not an HM there. And since Defog isn't an HM in gen 5, I assume that Pokébank SHOULD be okay with transferring stuff like Defog Scizor and Defog Arceus.

Ugh, so he's Relaxed...and his speed is barely over 100...guess I should reset...but...having to do that whole fight again after...ugh...

Have I finally managed to breed a perfect Larvesta? Her characteristic is Mischievous, Serebii IV calculator says 30-31 in everything with 31 Sp Atk confirmed, but I'm not sure how to use the IV Judge.

This is what he says anyway:

*This Pokémon has outstanding potential overall.
*Incidentally, I would say that its greatest potential lies in its HP.
*But its Attack stat is good, too.
*Hmm. And its Defense stat is good too.
*Although its Sp. Atk stat is equally good.
*Its Sp. Def stat seems just as good, though?
*And, well, its Speed stat is good, too.
*Stats like those... They simply can't be beat!

Have I done it, gaf?

Oh my god. Chasing the
legendary bird
is the worst. He changes position randomly. Every time you use the Fly ability, he also changes his position. You have to use repels, head straight for his current position and hope he's still there. Most of the time he has just changed his position again. Prepare to do this ten times. Fun!

(I hate this shit :( )

Congrats, he is absolutely perfect.

Here's a couple of hints to get a good one faster.

1. Kill the Yveltal / Xerneas. When you do that, it'll actually come back immediately and stay here like a normal legend. Natures and IVs aren't set, so you can do this to avoid that cut scene every time!

2. Get a Pokémon with the Syncrhonize ability (like Ralts or Abra) with the nature you desire, and have it fainted but in the first slot of your party. This gives you a 50% chance of getting the nature you want. In Yveltal's case, you have a lot of choices. You can use Timid for the pure special set, or Modest if you want more power and bulk. Hasty is good if you want the mixed set with Suckerpunch, or the Acrobatics set. Finally, if you want a defensive Yveltal, go for a Calm nature.

Xerneas is pretty offensive. Modest is probably the best, but if you're a speed freak like me and want to outspeed Rayquaza when they come back, you can use Timid. Hasty / Naive may also end up being good for a Choice Scarf set with Megahorn (for Mewtwo and CM Latias) and a possible Life Orb set with Close Combat.

3. In the case of Speed, bring a Pokémon who is ONE speed point lower than Xerneas / Yveltal. For reference, a perfect speed neutral nature one has 119 Speed, while a +Speed nature one has 130 Speed.

4. Finally, bring 3-4 rare candies and a Reset Bag. after you do that other fight, use the Reset bag to get rid of all the EVs from that battle. Use the rare candies and this IV calculator: http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx

I'm not sure if they got the other Pokémon accurate, but I can say that they have Xerneas and Yveltal's stats spot on!

finally finished main game
Why does Blastoise's picture look so derp? :(
