do pokemon in the friend safari have a chance at having hidden abilities? or do i have to attract a horde while in the safari?
I don't know if this is definitely the case... But I was looking for a Dragonair with Marvel scale all night offline. This morning I went online and the person whose Safari it was was online too. First Dragonair had Marvel Scale, and many after that too.

Stones drop from super training but I don't know what triggers that and if it is all stones or not. (Or maybe it is from Pokemon-amie, one of the new things, I haven't seen it happen, just seen people on here commenting on it).

They have a lowish chance of dropping from secret super training, which shows up in the super trainer once you've maxed one pokemon's EVs.

You need to beat the target time by a good portion, and even then, it's not a good chance.

I have never ever had a shiny in any Pokemon game ever :(

What's the best way to increase your chances?

All of mine have been found in the friend safari so I'd recommend finding a friend with the pokemon you want a shiny version of and just run around there all day. If they've beaten the E4 they will have 3 pokemon, if they haven't there will be 2.

"Wanna know why I wear shorts in the tall grass?"

Not really, but you're gonna tell me anyways.

...Wow, that caught me off guard, ha.

When you're battling, how do you figure out what a pokemans is weak to? Or even what type it is? Is there a libra type ability or something I'm missing? It's honestly even hard to see what my OWN pokemon are from the menu, though you can see what their abilities are. I feel like I have to play with a guide book open.

I haven't really played one since Diamond, and I only played it lightly since I thought it was busted ass. I had all 151 in Blue.

I play Pokemon with Bulbapedia open.

Also a bit curious, canoically. Arent mews super rare, maybe even extinct until team rocket made ome? Yet some guy had one centuries ago.

How long has it been since red/blue??

It's a mythical Pokemon. Mew's existed in legend for ages, Mr. Fuji's expedition knew about it because of ancient temples in South America where it was worshiped and they actually managed to find a living specimen.*

It's been at least four or five years since RBY in X/Y, though we don't have a very clear timeframe just yet.

*some of this is from Red/Blue and some of this may be me merging information from the anime movie

You just memorize it all haha.

Either trial-and-error (I can't remember the entire table, but I can get by on water-beats-fire most times), guessing based on how it looks (it's physically flying, so electric/rock must be effective), or just using attacks and changing Pokemon if it's not very effective.

Type chart, plus trial and error to figure out typings of new Pokémon (or just look them up). You should be able to guess a type that's at least neutral damage, but I find it fun when something new crops up and surprises me (what do you mean that cute little puny thing is actually a Dragon-type?).

No libra ability, unfortunately. I'm surprised they haven't let you pull up the Pokédex in-battle yet.

EDIT: Beaten so hard. Good luck ;)

It's just so funny to see how I used to have no problem memorizing or even surmising based on name. And now I'm like what the fuck is an oddish.

A menu would be nice to remind you once you do figure it out a la persona. :)

If you're in the middle of a battle and don't know what a pokemon is or what it's weak to, the only thing to do is just look it up online before you make an attack.

After a while you'll have it memorized. It's honestly not that hard since most of the time match-ups just "make sense".

On that note, Vileplume's model is HUGE in this game - bigger than Rhydon even. I need to check its height again...

I have some ideas to fix up the UI. I have to think Nintendo knows about them already but I think more data should be available in fewer clicks.

Team Rocket never made Mew nor did they have anything to do with Mew.

That's Mewtwo you're thinking of and even then game never states that Team Rocket was involved with it creation.

Agreed pretty much, though Mega Evolution and some Pokémon being retyped to fairy really messed about with my memory. As for some stupid reason I want to use Dragon Claw on Mr. Mime and Gardevoir. :|

And Mega Gyarados being Water/Dark cause me to derp as I forgot that my Meowstic had signal beam but instead I told her to use Extrasensory. ¬_¬;

I read this is a thing.

Here's a video:

Yes, it does - I've had a couple of battles with three friends. I don't think you can do random matchup like that, though.

Give me a few days and I'll probably take that crown.

It doesn't seem to. Can't find any way to do it myself, hopefully somebody will say I'm wrong because co-op double battles online would be great fun.

Ah, I see. Thanks.

So You + Friend vs. Randoms is not in, though?

A dude stalled me out online for a good 15 minutes with Vaporeon.

As I was about to win with my Aegislash, he rage quit. Good thing it was ranked and I got the win.

Is there any reason beyond "I have one" that people are trying to breed pokemon with 6 perfect IVs? There's always at least 1 IV you don't need. For example I'm trying to get a Jolly Dragonite with everything but Sp.A perfect since I'm not going to be using him for special attacks ever. Seems like a lot of effort to go to for a stat you'll never have use for.

Am I able to trade with only 2 badges? Wasn't there a high condition like x amount of badges or something in BW or DP to be able to trade?

Either way, anyone able to lend me a hand with tiny requests?

The boutique is beyond expensive, what's the easiest way to make some dough?

Amulet coin and let those runts fight you x2 $
Every time I'm in a gym I equip it because the underlings give about $1500 but with Amulet.. That's 3k.
You get it pretty early too. So if you have been doing it for a while like me (just finish fairy gym) you'll be close to have $200k.

Spent it all on vitamins though. Fuck a hat.

So.. I'm going through a pesons friend safari, and after like 30 minutes, I ran into a
Shiny Shuppet!! :p
Not only that, but I got a Critical capture on it on the FIRST try. I feel so lucky, omg.

Golf clap. :)

I remember having a red flabebe thinking it was shiny.. But then I found out they come in many variations.. :(

I've messed up and I'm gutted. Managed to get myself a togepi and finally got it to evolve once I got the soothe bell and road my bike for ages. Then found the shiny stone in my game and evolved it to Togekiss and I realized my togekiss doesn't have serene grace ability which is what I needed for the moveset I wanted.

I kind of want to trade him for something else now but not sure what would be a good trade? I really need another great flying pokemon for my team. So annoying :(

Man, I love the Friend Safari and new breeding system. Some of the best changes GF could have made. Took a bit of work, but I now have a 4 perfect IV Torchic and a 5 Pefect Calm, Wish Sylveon. Never thought I'd have such great pokemon without hacking or RNGing. So cool. So worth the effort.
