Anyone need Clauncher or Tyrunts? They're just sitting in my boxes right now since I don't really need/want them.
Looking for Buneary/Lopunny, and Y Exclusives (Shellder, Kabuto, Heracross, Larvitar, Manectric, Purrloin, Throh, Spritzee, Omanyte). Also looking for Ditto with Imposter.
If you just want a Tyrunt or Clauncher you can still have it, I'll just Wonder Trade off any stuff I already have!

The little bit of story we did get has been pretty awesome so far.
I don't mind the main group (outside of them being free and you being PokeJesus in comparison) but they either needed more development or less of them and more of the main issue. B/W did it right (outside of it taking over the Pokemon League plot...I wish they would have finished everything up and THEN let us challenge the league...but whatever)..
But the story has been surprisingly good...I guess I wish there was more of it or less towns where all that happens is you kicking the gym leaders ass.
Small complaint tho.

this is my first pokemon game since Black and White, and I really didn't put much time into those games beyond beating them. I'm incredibly happy to hear that chaining for shinies is back.

A lot of what the game does right is by bringing back stuff that BW took out, Berry tries and pokeradar being some of the most notable (and even improving the Berry tree mechanic with new berries and the mutation mechanic).

Quick question. If you keep breeding in Gen 6, do the stats increase?
For example:
1) I breed a Larvitar(Holding Everstone) with Ditto(Holding a Destiny Knot)
New Larvitar has increased 5 IVs
2) Breed new Larvitar with ol Ditto
New Larvitar has increased by 5 IVs
etc etc?
Does it work like that?

Should I use the masterball for mewtwo and save myself the trouble of soft resetting after trying twenty minutes or longer each time with ultra balls?

I know it has it's flaws (notably dying to a special attacker), but my starter Chesnaught's SeedShield strategy has a pretty good proof of concept from my testing of it.
1. Switch into a physical attacker, because of the massive defense it's practically impossible to be 2hko unless they have a SE attack with a good attack stat (or swap into an electric/ground attack).
2. Use leech seed, use spiky shield.
3. Swap into Aegislash to setup swords dance while you regain health through leech seed OR use wood hammer as a finisher with overgrow.
Should be complimented well by a light screen special wall/sweeper sigilyph set I'm planning, although on that note I'm not sure if I should get rid of one if its attacking moves (Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, and Air Slash) for calm mind when I already have Light Screen.

Come December, there's going to be a flood of broken pokemon flooding in thanks to Bank Transfer. Who knows what kind of hacked 'mons will slip through.
As long as you have a heart scale, you no longer miss out on moves like that!

The Mewtwo is a modest and according to an IV checker, he is 31/30/30/31/25/0.
I mean, he has 0 IVs in speed, but everything else seems good. What do you guys think?

has anybody managed to soft reset for:
1) Shiny Torchic
2) Shiny Mewtwo

You can breed more torchic if I am not mistaken.
It was slower to do the encounter over again. Soft resetting takes about 20 seconds per reset.

Also, legendaries are only allowed in Uber tier of competitive play, so you'll rarely or never get to legitimately use him.
Speaking of that, how much bullshit is going on for Ranked battling? I've only battled with friends, so I'm curious about those shenanigans.
Well, getting an egg and then hatching it takes less than 10 minutes, plus you can have a party of 5 eggs, so every minute or less you should be getting that dice roll. How long for the dice roll on that mount?
The Strange Souvenir and the hint about the unknown region has really got me interested, I wonder what the gen 7 region will be based on this time?
Neither are hard to catch with dusk ball, timer ball and Emolga.
But if you want an easier time use the masterball for Mewtwo, I think he as a recovering move.

Quick question my 3DS and Pokemon X are versions from the US however my Soul Silver is a Pal European version. Can I migrate all the Pokemon I collected in my Eur Soul Silver to my US Pokemon X?

This was my team. My wonderful team. I love every single one of them and they all helped through the whole game.
Greninja was my money gatherer (he had Lucky Coin) and my water type move slave but he also showed some skill against many Pokemon. Weak defenses but he was a quick attacker.
Venasaur was my sleep powderer. He made catching pokemon very easy. He was a very strong pokemon with good defenses and a Mega Evolution that no one could stop with Leech Seed and Sleep Powder plus a grass attack that no one could scape.
Aegilash was a monster. Everyone run to save their lives after seeing him. He was my best attacker and the one Flase swiper I had. Very useful and I used him as my wall unit. He was the first I completely EV trained in this game too.
Aurorus was decent. She had no place in my team but ended making a space in it because of a great moveset. Good Pokemon but so many weaknesses. It killed Pokemon in the E4
Hawlucha was my Fly slave. And the guy that saved me when I was in trouble with his speed and great attack. He was very useful in the E4 and was the one who gave me the victory with the E4 champion.
Gardervoir was my special attacker. I always wanted to raise a Ralts to evolve into this but never ended up doing that. This was my first time doing it and I don't regret it. Her typing is the best one out there and her moveset is so good. She resisted a lot of hits and hit like no one else could against Dark types. I love her, definitly my best Pokemon

It's not too bad from the handful of matches I've played. Lot of people using Mega Gengar ineffectively, lot of mega charizards, etc. Thing that people might disagree with most is the use of Mega Blaziken. Since it's 3 v 3, and you have few switching options, He can be taken down if you're properly prepared. Not as unbeatable as he's made out to be. Other than that, seems alright so far. Might be some weird crap going on up at the very top, but at the low and middle it's fine.
Where do you get the souvenir anyway?
I personally think it's an event legendary/GF's usual ambiguous bullshit, and not a next gen hint, but whatever.

1. To get the hidden ability to pass down through breeding do both parents need to have it (not Ditto breeding)?
2. If I want to make a baby with specific IVs and nature can I do Destiny Knot on male, power item female then do Destiny Knot baby with Everstone Ditto for nature?

So how much further is the second gym? I'm currently at route 8 grinding and catching Pokemon. So yeah, how much further?
Edit: Screw it, I'm going to sleep. It's been 6 hours since I beat the first gym. I'm too tired to continue. Plus I nearly wasted all my Poke balls on catching Bagon.

Yeah, I'm really excited to get to the endgame and just chain for shinies. I also like what they did with the exp. share. I feel like a lot of people are complaining that it makes the game too "easy," but if what made the game challenging before was having to grind every member of your party individually, I'll gladly take the easy game.
I gotta be honest though, I don't like the new camera style. I get that it's a new generation and much more powerful hardware, but I really miss the top down style and the sprites. Kinda hoping that if they move forward with a R/S/E remake they stick to the traditional style.
So it seems Umbreon cannot learn Foul Play in X/Y. That sucks. Payback is always an option, but Foul Play is better

Before I beat the game, I was planning on jumping immediately into breeding and making a team once I beat the E4. Now that I have though, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by everything (not to mention everyone talking about perfect IVs). Time to subscribe to that Pokemon FAQ thread. :V
