I don't understand how Wonder Trade works. Is it just people trade something random for something else that's random? ...why would anyone do that?

I have a bunch of Dratini with 4 perfect IVs (All beneficial, none unnecessary) and all Jolly nature. Most with Marvel Scale, some with Shed Skin (I gave pelicansurf one of them earlier). Three boxes of Ralts bred today. Still no shiny. Ah, well, I'll try again tomorrow. Look out world, here comes a box of Level 1 Ralts!

I locked down its nature to Modest now, and I think the Ditto I'm using is a Japanese Friend Safari one. So, once I clear out the earlier ones, I think the rest are going to make for decent Gardeviors.

Not giving up on the Matsuda Method just yet. But when the world is covered in non-shiny Ralts, I might.

Ran inside a building, saved again and soft reset.

Loaded okay.

Most people trade off unsuccessful breeding attempts on it. It's just about the thrill of what you may get in return.
 
Both Mewtwo and Zygarde went into the second Dusk Ball I threw. They didn't even have status ailments and Mewtwo wasn't even at 1 hp. Now I just need a Yveltal, which I'm hoping I'll be able to trade my roaming legendary for because I already have three of that.

I mean, I saved outside IN Lumiose City. I saved at South Boulevard.

well I flew to Camphrier, saved here and soft reset. Loaded okay here too.
 
I'm taking the same approach to how I approached Zekrom, where I've resigned myself from getting Xerneas in a trade just because I know that most people wouldn't be willing to give one up easily. Would rather just wait for X2Y2 or Z similar to how I was patient for B2W2 before getting the opposite version legendary.

The save bug is related to something about the position of the taxis inside the city, as far as we can tell and based on map Nintendo gave. There's no risk of anything once you're outside it.

Just put a non-Friend Safari Ditto up and request 1 of them like the rest of us scumbags.

I'm pretty sure they basically limit your Game Sync's to help the server.

I never have problems the first time Game Syncing, it's always when I save repeatedly.

I dunno if those trades actually end up being successful, but they're like the most common requests for Dittos on GTS.
But Dittos are probably the most valuable non-legendary Pokemon at least.

Just Borukenion, Fuupa, and Diansii, registered trademarked names we've known about for awhile that don't belong to any Pokemon.

I've seen interesting speculation they may be related to the Power Plants you can't get into, as Borukenion and Fuupa possibly might be related to fire (combustion energy) and wind (wind energy) based on their names.

If you have a legendary you're pretty close to getting your own Ditto anyway. I doubt those trades are successful.

That's an extremely interesting theory, actually. I haven't beaten the game yet (eighth gym) so I just kind of figured those different power plants would open up in the post-game. If they haven't, yeah, it'd seem they're being saved for something special.

Indeed it does! You just get Game Sync running and go to Vs. Recorder. Then go to your video and make it public.

I can't seem to find the code for my video right now, so I can't share it with you :/

EDIT: Wait, I wasn't online - I have the code now.

It seems like the most probable scenario, though the text for the other doors almost seems to insinuate that they don't open at all.

I wish you could've too. Lol. I'm going to start shiny breeding, and getting one with good IVs early on would be very helpful.

I'm so glad that you can turn off people who want Xerneas and Yveltal in the GTS! Also, if you put up a level 30 Ditto for another one from another region, it will be gone withing 30 seconds! Ditto is the most valuable Pokémon!

People kept talking about how they got nerfed but I didn't know to this extent.

I was wondering about the other Power Plants myself, thought it was odd that there were several in the area yet only one was accessible. Tried going there post game to no avail though. Actually there seem to be a lot of "event" type of locations in X and Y, though it seems a lot of them are just there to hide mega stones.
 
Thus game is deep. That being said noon question what's with the "matchmaking". Are you only supposed to fight other people when you have epic pokemon? I mean you'd think they would match me up with the nobody shit I have yummy so I don't get one shot? Wtf
 
Would Goodra benefit more from Assault Vest or Focus Sash (Focus sash so it can survive physical dragon moves then retaliate with a draco meteor)?

There's no real matchmaking, just random battles. If you're playing on Global Link ranked modes there's a banlist, at least.
 
Thanks Ramyeon!

I'm tempted to breed better versions of my starters (Chespin/Charmander) but I've become sentimentally attached to the ones I got :(
