After testing it out in online battles I have thus concluded.

The Standard Aegislash SwordD ShadowS KS and SacredS doesn't work very well.

You're better off replacing SD with Toxic or Choice Band with Shadow Claw/Sacred Sword coverage with Iron Head and a 3rd coverage move.

In competitive, no one will let Aegis get to +6. They throw in a bulky and Scald/Will-O-wisp it. It's better to run him as a lure/pivot.

Ralts or Togepi. If you planning a Kalos Only playthrough, your option limited to Flabebe and Sylveon.

Most people are using honedge (ghost/steel). Galvantula is great (bug/electric) but you need someone to trade you one as they're only in friend safaris. I can trade you one if you want.

If I'm not wrong, female inherit the species, while male inherit the move, and both can inherit IV and Nature with the use of everstone.

Ten seconds. As I pick the egg, and cycling to battle chateau then back to day care, that guy already facing to route 7 again.
That when both Pokemon like each other.

After 6 easy shinies, been at my tangela+petilil safari for over 6 hours with no luck. Probably my luck just running thin but maybe the boosted odds drop after you find a shiny there..

Egg production opportunities occur every 255 steps. From the old man, that's roughly west to the cave, east a little bit past the bridge, then back to the old man.

Chances are 20, 50, or 70%, depending on whether both have the same original trainer and whether they are the same species. Dif trainer same species = 70%, same trainer dif species = 20%.
