For the IV guy in Kiloude City, how do I tell if the IV is 31 or not? Is there a chart anywhere that has numbers corresponding to what he says?
If he says something like "stats like these can't be beat!" that means they're 31s.

Mine's 252 Attack, 252 HP, 4 Sp. Def. It's worked pretty well so far.
I knew it'd take a bad enough dude to train a Malamar, and not surprisingly, ScraftyDevil is that bad dude. Very cool.
It's amazing what a simple HP investment and Superpower boost can do.

Masuda Method and a LOT of luck. About the 60th egg was a shiny. I couldn't believe it. Barely took an afternoon. First and last time I tried it, I just don't have the patience to possibly breed 2 THOUSAND eggs with the Masuda method. I actually was already thinking about giving up since I just spent an entire afternoon biking a single route up and down :/
Atk and Def max, HP is bad. Meh!

Managed to snag a Yveltal off the GTS and finally (FINALLY) got the Hatching O-Power. Now I just need to level that up...

I have bounced around a lot when it comes to the starter elements but I think for this game I needed a faster starter. Chestnaught has been great and damn is he powerful but I think with Greninja I can cover more element types that I wouldn't necessarily have. And Gourgeist has become one of my favorite new Pokémon so that covers the Grass type. lol.

lol I know those feels. yea forget Crobats. I swear every time I use my Carbink against a flying type they just so happen to have steel wing.

Only sixty? It migh as well have been the first.
It looks better than CharX, honestly. I hope you got good nature/IVs for that too.

IV Judge.
(The first statement)
If the IV total is between 0 and 90: "This Pokémon's potential is decent all around."
If the IV total is between 91 and 120: "This Pokémon's potential is above average overall."
If the IV total is between 121 and 150: "This Pokémon has relatively superior potential overall."
If the IV total is between 151 and 186: "This Pokémon has outstanding potential overall."
(The second statement)
If the highest IV is between 0 and 15: "It's rather decent in that regard."
If the highest IV is between 16 and 25: "It's very good in that regard."
If the highest IV is between 26 and 30: "It's fantastic in that regard."
If the highest IV is 31: "It can't be better in that regard."-

If you max EVs at lvl1 you can use it on any battle and you won't mess up anything. If you don't, well, you probably won't get the EVs divided the way you want them.

So, when hatching an egg when are things decided? Like, when are IVs, nature and shiny decided?

Basically, I wanna know if I could just save a few steps away from hatching and then soft reset to get different IVs or shiny etc.

Going by brief testing, it's been good at eliminating leads and occasionally getting a suicide Curse in on the next guy. I like Will-O-Wisp for the Attack decrease, but Toxic kills faster. Thoughts? And any other ideas on how to improve him?

OK the postgame is shit, I really have nothing to do in this game.
I give no flying fuck about dressing up the kid I have to play or petting my pokemon and feeding them cupcakes.
Also not interested in doing math and breed the perfect pokemon for something I will never do ( serious multiplayer games)

LOL I have 1 Lvl 30 and 6 close to being there. I adventure off fighting and looking around before I do what i'm suppose too. I try to catch all the pokemon in the area before I move on.

If I used Mega Banette, I'd probably always have Destiny Bond as one of the moves. Prankster Destiny Bond is just too awesome not to use. Could definitely save your ass at some point.

I tried Pokemon with Red/Blue back in the days, found it incredibly boring. In X I'm so hooked right now it's not even funny.

No. I heard it frequently overlevels your Pokes so I didn't bother with it; plus, I always liked the appeal of individually training them.
Is the game built around using it?
Pretty dang frequently. My team started out with Fletchling and Bunnelby, but they're in the PC now. I have Pikachu and Floette as placeholders, but I may keep the latter around.

Wasn't fighting the npcs at the end of B/W2 just a tonned down training for multiplayer battles thing anyways? Why not dive into playing other players if you want more content out of the pokemon games. I mean shit it's not like it takes any real effort to get into it. *online now, breeding stuff has been made super easy and fast once you get started on it*

Im jealous of everyone who has perfect IVs. It really takes toll on your patience trying to get the perfect or almost perfect IVs for the right pokemon and nature. I try to get Dittos with better IVs but it is way too much grinding but I will not give up.
