All the sigilyphs I'm sacrificing off are modest with at least one perfect IV (except one IIRC which has my original sigilyph's base 28 Sp Def).
At least I could sacrifice them off if the server was working.

One of my friends surprised me with one. It's stealth rock was predictable (luckily one of my two pokemon vulnerable to it has magic guard) but not before setting up with Calm Mind first which threw me off, thinking I had a free switch.
He even out-punned me, naming it Fairock.

first i was getting axew with 4 IVs. was trying for 5 but said fuck it and went with an axew with hp/atk/def/spd and am currently breeding it with another axew with the adamant nature.

IV axew with destiny knot. adamant axew with everstone.....now all my babies only have 3 IVs. just shitty luck or did i do something wrong?

Plan on my part was to go in with Aegislash and set up while he either swapped out or tried to whittle Spookalibur away, but I went into a panic when he calm minded.
Overall I lost the match, primarily due to his mega blaziken.

Because the IVs are from either pokemon. Your guaranteed that 5 of the babies IVs are from a parent, not specifically the one with the destiny not.

It changes inheritance to guarantee 5 IVs instead of just being a chance of 3. It does nothing to determine which parent they're inherited from.

You are incorrect. You will get 5 random IVs from the parents. So it increases your odds, but doesn't guarantee the exact 5 you want.

Kanako Eo is credited again - she was present for Gen 3 and 4, but not for 5.

Maiko Fujiwara, Tomohiko Ōkubo, and Keiko Moritsugu are absent, and in their place are:

I would say yes as it allowed the transfer of perfect IVs from the pokemon not holding the knot from my breeding experience.

The more perfect IVs each parent has, the better. The power items are helpful, but not mandatory for this process.

I kind of feel like playing more pokemon. Is there any reason to play Black/White over Black /White 2?

B/W was spaced better than B2/W2 IMO. I don't like really early gyms or huge gaps between gyms.

Wonder why so many people were quoting that backpacker as proof of a Hoenn remake when that's clearly not the case haha. There are many references to past regions (Including Hoenn) in the game, but that backpacker is definitely not one of them.

I remember talking to him the first time and being like "Huh? This guy doesn't mention Hoenn at all."

Well considering that you get a max of 5 IVs transferred, you'd have to leave 1 of them to chance.

So you have 1/32 chance of getting perfect in the 6th IV if you get all 5 IVs transferred. I wish you luck lol.

Alright, since Speed Boost Blaziken is kind of stupidly crazy and getting boring to play, trained up a Mega Lucario to replace him as my Mega and physical sweeper. Took forever to get 5 perfect IVs on the dude. The low female ratio combined with the need to do a happiness Evo to breed him was super annoying.

Also had to use a Smeargle to get Bullet Punch and Crunch on him. He was crazy to put together, but he should be really interesting to mess around with him. Powerful enough to be cool, yet he's actually got some competition. Sure, Mega Blaze was perfectly counterable, but most people didn't have the foggiest idea of how to deal with him.

I never considered the "perpetual generation" idea. It's certainly intriguing, and would definitely make the relatively low number of new Pokémon and repeated references to other regions in X and Y make more sense.

I vaguely remember the counter but I'm coming up blank.
The things harder than they should though, even after I -2 them with King's Shield it was still able to -2/3s off my Sigilyph (or was it aegislash?).
