Pokémon XY |OT2| Would you like to leave a tip?

Honestly Jolteon's a bit too fragile to be Passing a Sub to a Blaziken when they share weaknesses in EQ. And W/O Swords Dance Blaziken will have trouble killing things. Power-Up Punch takes too long to set up and Blaziken is fragile as well.

Usually I'd pair up a Ninjask with Pass,Sub SD,Protect with Blaziken. Not Jolteon.

One more thing to worry about is that pokemon with Infiltrator (Crobat/Noivern) and any sound based move like Roar or Boomburst will pass through substitute.

Both legitimate things I saw too. I'm still learning and trying things out (would love to come up with something funky/unique) but thanks for this guys.

So I haven't been keeping up with Pokemon between games.. I know XY doesn't have all the pokemon availble and that you'll only be able to go from BW2 using the online thing but here's my question:

We have heartgold and soulsilver. This has everything in gen 1 and 2, right?
We can bring those forward into BW->BW2->XY, if we were to buy those games, correct?

Does anyone have a way to tell what pokemon we'd still need (presumably gen 3 and 4?) and how to get those into BW? Thanks

So this just happened in my friend safari:

So, a question about Horde Training. I got a Riolu with Pokerus and Power Bracer, and I went through a +1HP EV (Gulpin) horde. After switching Riolu for Blastoise and beating all of them with surf, how much EVs did Riolu win after leveling up during that battle? I think I lost the amount a little. About 40?

Anyone happen to have a Larvitar that is either adamant or jolly with perfect IV's in at least attack and speed but potentially more? I don't have a ton to give away in return, but I'd be willing to try and work something out if someone is willing!

Uh-oh... hit my usual RPG hump. Near the end of the main game and want to restart. Have not played in 2 days sitting in the route after the Team Flare base... mmm

Finally!!!! My first Masuda Method success!!!!!
It took 221 eggs to get, but was COMPLETELY worth it! It also has max HP, ATK, Sp.A, and Sp.D IVs. I was hoping it'd get max DEF too, but you take what you can get with shinies!

(Bonus points to anyone who gets the name reference)

Anyone here have a ditto safari? Would help me a lot if I could get your FC, mine is 1048-9257-7593. I need dittos to get good iv's and make my team! I can't progress without dittos!

Story finished (With the team I planned from the start)!

My Delphox and Pangoro did most of the grunt work, but my whole team (except for my Tyrantrum who was still being trained) was balanced enough to take down the E4.

Took me a 2nd try to beat the water master of all things. Stupid Gyarados.

221 eggs? Damn, it takes me like 15 minutes just to hatch one (depending on the pokemon). Tell me your secrets! I've been utilizing Lumiose and just circling around the gym, but even then it takes ages. That Honedge is hot, btw.

Keep something with Flame Body (like Fletchling) and just stay around the Daycare.

Wow! Had no clue this what the shiny honedge looked like. I'll have to start breeding for this once I get a shiny gastly (if ever)

This IGN pokemon head-to-head is breaking my balls. Every time one of my favorites comes up another one I like about the same also pops up. I guess that's the point of the whole thing.

But Ho-Oh vs Venusaur? Lugia vs Mew? Blastoise vs Haunter? Scyther vs Arcanine? Argh

Props to everyone voting for Kabutops though, he is ahead of even some legendaries according to the "% agreed with you."

wait what are you talking about

Is there a place to train after the elite four? Or do I have to grind the elite four to get my team up to lvl 99?

The restaurants tend to be better and faster experience, and I've been taking my fresh hatches to Battle Chateau to grab some extra cash too. Getting to 100 has little value competitively though, since most online battles are conducted at auto 50.

surprisingly, running around the Battle Chateau+restaurants (especially with all those Audinos) and farming money also levels you up at a somewhat decent rate
but yeah if you're going for experience, Elite Four is probably the best

OMG cofagrigus looks amazing in this game.

Battle maison is such a tease in terms of your favourite pokemon not being catchable. :(

Restaurant Le Wow (3 star restaurant) Triple Battle in Lumiose City.

Pokemon are mid-sixties and there's 5 battles in a row I think. If you use an Exp. O-Power before you make the Triple Battle request it will work for all the battles. It costs 90-100k to do it once, but you make more than that off the battles plus the mushrooms you can sell.
