Whats the fastest way to evolve a pokemon through max happiness. My togepi doesn't wanna evolve for anything in the world despite winning every battle and having soothe bell and getting a massage

You also can go to the Juice Shoppe in Lumiose City and buy/make Colorful Shakes (mix 2 different colored berries). There's also a guy who gives massages to the first Pokemon in your party in the house by the Pokemon Center.

Congrats!

Thanks!

I really like the color scheme.

Good News: Got my Shiny Ralts and it's female!
Bad News: Didn't inherit the 31 IVs in Speed like I wanted, got
X/31/X/31/31/X, Above Average

A Shiny's place is sitting in a luxurious box!

If you're currently breeding anything, take it with you or give it vitamins if you haven't EV'd it already.

Remember when Cut could cut tall grass? That was awesome.

It's cool to use our pokemon to interact with the world, but it undeniably sucks to sacrifice battle potential. Hell, Ash's Butterfree would carry Bulbasaur into battle and it didn't know Fly.

Mamoswine had actual involvement with the plot, and was far more developed in the story than any individual Pokemon not named Xerneas or Yveltal.

You can keep saying it's just my mindset, but you've yet to provide an example of how HMs do that for anyone but yourself - and your explanation, as far as I can tell, is that they just *do*. And if the moves are that ridiculous, I don't really see why they should exist when they serve just as much purpose distancing myself from the world.

There's examples of them involving Pokemon more and more into the world, and what I'm really curious about is why exploring that kind of interaction shouldn't be prioritized over HMs.
I'm not here to provide examples; I'm just trying to see if you can open your mind to possibilities.

The moves themselves are not ridiculous; it's the circumstance that some Pokemon can learn them. Unless the next generation you want only Pokemon able to lift children into the air to be able to learn Fly and Pokemon that are large enough to sit on to be able to learn Surf.

Those Pokemon are not yours unless there are circumstances where a Pokemon is used within the game and you so happen to be allowed to take it with you on your journey. You can scour the Internet and there are people that say "Oh yeah, _______, is my bro" and whatnot. They may or may not have had an HM, but a sense of connection can be built upon having this Pokemon move boulders for you, allow you to travel the seas and what have you.

I have so many Togetics now, lol. Stop inheriting that 31 Attack IV, Togepis :( Best so far is x/31/31/31/x/31

I really need more Dittos with 31 HP IVs (only have one.. which also has 31 Attack IV)..

This would've been so much cooler if I had Dragonair evolve into a Dragonite. This was my third dratini to dragonite evo process, since I couldn't check EVs since I hadn't beat the game yet.

I literally only used Mamoswine. He put errybody down.

I love Mamoswine. Gengar is awesome, too.

That connection can exist without forcing them to use field moves though. I've used a Volcarona in every playthrough of Gen V and the first thing I did in X/Y's postgame was get one for my team. Volcarona is very much my bro(ette). It's danced with me, it's given an old man company in his dying days, it's propelled me to victory in Battle Facilities across the world.

Not because I forced it to do grunt work in pushing some boulde, or fly me around the country at a moment's notice. They can still keep those kinds of abilities in the game without having to tie them to a Pokemon, and they can still have valuable "connections" through things like Pokemon-Amie's affection text in battle and other non-battle activities.

There's nothing HMs currently do for world building that can't be done in other ways.

So... Caught 3 safari dittos with 31 IV in the following fields:

1)Attack, sp attack, sp def
2)HP, sp def
3)Def, sp def, speed

Do I take the child from ditto 1 and breed with ditto 2? Then child of ditto 1 and 2 breed with ditto 3?

Go back and read that part in my post. I'm not refuting your claims but I can see that you're not going to open your mind on this topic.

so, how to get consecutive fishing ?
i must not walk at all ?
or
i must always find a pokemon using super rod ?
i manged to get 4 consecutive tries , but i am sure i fished at least 14 pokemon, every time i succeeded i save the game, when my rod don't catch any pokemon i press start +select + R to return to main menu and start from where i stopped

Try fishing in an area that's 'closed' (i.e. non deep-water) on 3 sides to make sure you get bites, or have (a potentially fainted) pokemon with suction cups/sticky hold in your first slot. That will help you maintain your chain.

You can switch rods if you need to, I think, but you're not supposed to move.

Destiny Knot ditto with 4 perfect IVs is being coy. Between it and a 3 perfect IV froakie, I cannot seem to reliably get a 4-5 IV baby.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the Matsuda method other than using flame body and patience?

I have my foreign Charmander with Destiny knot, and my Charmander from here with everstone. I'm going on 400 Charmanders, so I'm at a point where I'd love to either optimize this process better or give myself a better shot a shiny Charmander.

You need to stay in one spot and just fish in a row, it doesn't matter if you run or not. It also help if you have a Pokémon with Suction Cups as your lead to prevent your chain from breaking.

You're just going to have to be patience as the Matsuda method isn't a sure fire way to get a shiny, it just increases the chances of it.

Resetting the game also resets the chain.

The EV/IV? Guy says my Dragonair from the friend safari has outstanding potential, In HP, Attack and Sp Def that sounds good but i have a feeling Sp attack would be better
He only judges IVs. And nope I would argue a physical Dragonite is much more useful than a Special attacker.

You can use whichever rod you like. Do not walk or move at all, you must fish in the same exact spot. It will take 30-40 consecutive reels if you're lucky, 150+ if you're unlucky. Have a pokemon with the ability Suction Cups occupy your first party slot to guarantee you'll hook something. It can be fainted and still work. I don't know whether or not saving the game or closing the software will break the chain.

How to find a Dusk stone??

there is supposed to be one in Laverre, but where?

I'm breeding two pokemon that don't like each other and it's taking forever to get eggs. Is this random bad luck or is there some way to engineer it so they become friendlier.

Nice, however I don't have the good Hidden Ability so, i need to catch one with it then breed the two? To get the IVs and the ability. Or is it more complicated than that?

This is what I was trying to say:

Ditto 1 + Pokemon = child

Child + ditto 2 = new child

New child + ditto 3= child with stats from all 3 dittos
If it's a Pokemon that can be found in the friend Safari I recommend not using Ditto. People seem to rely on a Ditto for breeding when it's not necessary.

Catch a female in the FS that has at least two IVs that you want. Then catch two males that have the other 3, preferably without the one you don't want.

You want at least one of them to have the Nature you want. Best way is to use Synchronize when catching them. Otherwise just breed the female with any males you have of the same egg group with the nature you want - not too difficult really. Just make sure her IVs pass over.

Breed a male with the female until you get 4 on the baby. Then breed that baby with the other male (Who has 1 you want and 1 you already have). As you get babies with 3 and 4 IVs, switch out the male for one of those to increase your chances.

Faster than the ditto method and requires less luck to get the IVs you want transferred. Same species also produce eggs a lot faster.

Ditto are great since they're blank slates that can be used with anything but they're not always ideal IMO. I've IV bred tonnes of perfect pokemon and I've never used a Ditto.

Probably the 3rd time my batteries died and lost a ton of progress. No idea what's going on but I never get "your battery is dieing!" prompts anymore and my battery indicator jumps from blue to red to blinking in 10 seconds.

This is true, but a good (3 or 4 IV) ditto can really help the first and maybe second generation if you are having bad luck with getting ivs on the those first kids. The only real downside is the slower egg rate.

Once you have at least a 2-3 iv kid with one or two of the ivs the non-ditto parent has, then yeah, it's well worth switching.

Incidentally, got a 4 iv male froakie, and stuck it with another ditto, only to keep getting torrent and no protean on the 3-4 iv kids. Turns out, I forgot to check the ability, and it was a torrent one, lol.

Does anyone have that list of Pokemon unavailable in Gen VI? Need to know what Pokemon to get it the prior games for Bank.

Oh yeah, it also cuts out the process of catching them which is nice. That said the demand for them outweighs the need. I've been IV breeding heaps and never needed one, while a lot of people think you absolutely must have them to do it, since that's how all the guides make it seem.

I'm going to stop Masuda Methoding and seriously work on Pokemon.

Thanks for the help Ramyeon. :)

i'll try to catch Inkay or muk or Swalot

Luckly I got three Dittos with three Perfect Ivs each in all stats. IV breeding seems so..easy now (cept if it's a stsrter taking forever to carry over it's hidden ability).

Would this work with chain fishing?:
Fainted lead with suction cups
Second with synchronise

So you're more likely to get a bite and one with the right nature?
