Knowing how these games were looking (and Microsoft would have known many months ago), why on earth did they still insist on including Kinect? If your hardware is underpowered, it has to sell at a lower price.

Microsoft, you have absolutely fucked up.

Abandon Kinect? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.

Well, not to start that debate again, but there's The Order which will be 1920x800, with 280 lines of black pixels.

I have a feeling some of the Japanese launch games will be 720p (I think media for Deep Down and Yakuza have been).

There are going to be confirmed sub-1080p games whenever they announce what BF4's resolution is. :)

It's only a fact.

NeoGaf folks doesn't represent the feeling of mass market. People here are super hardcore.
The non-"super hardcore" care about value.

It's not that they're pixel counting to tell the difference between 900p, 720p or 1080p.

But if a narrative emerges that "the games are all better on the PS4" that can impact value proposition. It would even if they were at price parity. That the XB1 is more expensive makes it worse.

If they didn't perceive this as potentially damaging they wouldn't embargo it until essentially launch.

From what I understand, the big patch for Xbone is supposed to be in the neighborhood of 1.4GB. That could change in terms of size but that is supposed to be similar to the big day 1 patch. Improves system speed and pre-patch it's slow/er.

That's fucking huge. How did Sony manage to make their's only 300MB?

And that's why, as long as the image is crisp and clean, most people will not care when the game is in motion.

While BF4 on PS4 may have a resolution greater than 720p, in due time, we will see a fall in resolution as other visual effects are pushed. Remember, it's a closed box with finite power on which games continually improve due to efficiency and innovation in coding. As such, compromise is the name of the game.

Like how Uncharted 1 started off at 720p, then fell below 720p in Uncharted 2, again in Uncharted 3, and finally ended up at a significantly lower resolution than 720p in The Last of Us.

Oh wait.

what if BF4 and Ghosts are 720p on Xbox One but run MUCH smoother than on PS4..? what if the PS4 versions chug like crazy? which one would you rather PLAY? remember what happened with PS3 versions this gen, almost all had framerate issues compared to Xbox 360... i could see history repeating itself again. MS aren't stupid. besides a lot of people only have 720p tvs anyway so they won't miss 1080p. it's just a luxury, not necessary for good gameplay. and do you honestly REALLY trust a Dualshock to be good with FPS shooters? yeah no thanks

anyway.. whatever the case you can play Titanfall ONLY on Xbox LIVE ;)

ROTFL! This is the best parody account I have ever seen!!!! On par with that Kaz account. I hope you never get banned! :D

Can I? Or do I need to PM to get authorization?

'Birdie got back'! ;)

Missed you!

And it has an external power supply while the PS4's is internal. Plus the hard drive is non removable.

So many mistakes made with this machine it is unreal.

MS just sucks at hardware. Xbox 1 was hueg, Xbox 360 had RROD, and now there's Xbone. Sony's been making hardware for decades

I was never gonna buy an XB1 at launch (or ever), but the "surprise" that will be revealed once it's out in the wild doesn't sound like a good thing... not to mention the resolution issues... i would've dropped that pre-order at the drop of a hat... who knows what other surprises might lurk down the road.
