I feel like such a pokemon noob (to be fair I haven't played one since red, so I am one lol).

All this talk about breeding, nature, wonder trade, shiny pokemon reeds like runes to me. All I have been doing is: follow the story with the same team since the start, catching new pokemons I find in the wild, talking to every NPC and looking for hidden items/pokeballs.

Even if I am doing all these that seems to be the basic, functional way to play the game I still feel like I am missing a lot every time I visit this thread. I really hope I am wrong and I can still do a lot in post game.

Anyway, just reached Laverre City. Such a charming place, my favorite town so far. And the music in this game: just <3.

(sorry if i make a point too many times or say the same thing over and over again)
Its all post game stuff more or less(to make up for the lack of one) but mostly its competitive stuff for breeding, nature,IVs. Wonder trade is a gamble trade option where you can put a pokemon up for trade and get a random one from another person online at random. Shiny pokemon is just the RNG(random number god)'s chance at a different color deviant of a pokemon (Except that one butterfly pokemon in this game) like Red gyrados is shiny compared to its normal blue look.. basically its all extra stuff you dont need to enjoy the game but if you are a completionist or play with competitive people you dont need to worry about that stuff .

Wow sure someone send me a pm with your FC (on phone sorry). My FC is in my profile, Ill run out and grab the tooth and scale. Just found out where they were haha.

I've been trying to get Vivillon patterns off the GTS. It's way harder than it should be, GF are trolling with the distributions and the players are trolling with their requests.

9/18 ain't bad though

I have a Jungle Vivillon I could trade you for any other pattern (that isn't Ocean), if you want :)

Alright I've got two Clamperls, one with DeepseaTooth and one with Scale.
FC is 2578 - 3146 - 5356
Who wants to trade me and save me so much headache?

Well, thats a huge relief! Thanks. It was bothering me to the point I was enjoying the game less. :|

Is there a way to identify a shiny besides the obvious color change? Like one of those marks or something? I ask because I missed a lot of the mid gen pokemons by not playing the games, so I don't really recognize them at first and I would be mad if I missed one of their shiny forms (since I am assuming they are rare to find).

I think that there's a little shine burst where they come in?

They sparkle for a second when they hit the screen. If you miss that, and don't know there's a color change, you're out of luck. Some shinies are really close to the original color to make matters worse.

There's a shiny animation when they enter battle. Also, they have a red star in their summary

OK guys I have 3 Arons with 4 perfect IVs left. First 3 to quote get them. I'd rather give them to someone on GAF and not wonder trade them. If you have someone in the monster egg group with perfect IVs in Attack and/or Sp Attack that'd be great, if not don't sweat it

PM me and leave me your FC and in game name

Chain fishing finally paid off.

I like that it's Adamant, too!

Congrats!

I'll take you up on that. Sending a PM.

Thanks guys, I will be paying extra attention then.

Couple more question, if someone can answer... Why can't I give that ability to leave the enemy with 1HP to any of my pokemons? Is there a way to jump over those, uhm, dents on the rollerskating lines (or whatever they are called) that make you automatically get off of them? I am guessing there is a trick you can learn to jump over them? Or not? lol And last one: keep the master ball to the legendary pokemon right? (it seems obvious, just want to be sure).

Very very close match between macklelol and me. His weakness policy multiscale D-nite nearly swept my whole team.

Code is DWRG-WWWW-WWW2-24W8. Gotta say I wanna play a match like that again soon.

Also dang seriously Weakness policy is dang broken. Either you have a way to pop Multiscale through rocks or faster Volturn or you get DD swept by +3 attack and +1 speed. If he had extremespeed at that time I'd have lost bad.

You can. There's a TM called false swipe which does exactly that. Think you get it from someone from the professor's lab.

The dents just means that you have to approach it really fast.

Legendaries are easier to capture this time. Try catching them normally before resorting to a master ball.

I was just about to edit it my post there. :P

I have the TM, it just is "unable" to all the pokemons in my team, but I just realized its a normal type attack, and I have none normal pokemon in my team, so thats maybe the reason, right?

Cool, thanks. :)

Argh FUCK!

I just realized I had the exact opposite nature I wanted on this pokemon that I just went through all that EV training for. :(

Someone hold me. I need comforting.

Momentum. Try to move farther out and speed towards the rails.

Edit: Beaten :p

Yo, that was one great game. I really need an Extremespeed Dragonite ;_;

EDIT: I don't think I used my Dragonite much in this game, though. I know I did sweep you with it earlier.
