Finally got perfect Timid male and female Abras; both in Premier Balls.

I think I'm the only person in the world who cares about hatching locations, but can anyone think of a good place to hatch them on the map? I'm thinking of Chamber of Emptiness... is there anywhere more "psychic" sounding?

Will pass on one of my spares if anyone can think of something better!

So I have a question... Everyone raves about IV breeding and EV training etc etc.. Is it really that important? Like if everyone else in a tournament has "perfect pokemon" do I not have a chance if I just EV train a Pokemon I caught in the wild who doesnt have perfect IV stats? How much of a game changer is perfect breeding?

Decent IVs and the right nature are pretty important. For example, an Adamant Haxorus with a perfect Attack IV and full EVs in Attack will have an attack stat of 432 (at Lv 100). But if the one you find in the wild happens to be Modest with an Attack IV of 0, it'll only reach 322. So you don't necessarily need 31s in every stat, or perfect defences on something that isn't going to take hits anyway, but bad IVs can really make a big difference.

Anyone have any good sources/articles for getting started? I know a lot of the basics such as natures and EV training, but that's not nearly enough.

I never understood why you lead with Volcarona. But dang Klefki Swagger+Foul Play is something I never thought to visit.

Personally thinking about using a Dual Screen Taunt lead in my 2nd team.

Mostly because I like volcarona.

But yeah, I should probably revise that. Hasn't really helped me much.

If you hit a 4x weakness it doesn't really matter what they did to prepare beforehand.

IV breeding adds 31 points at level 100 which is on top of like 200-300. It's pretty marginal but you take what you can get.

What do you think that translates to scaled down to lv. 50?

It was bound to happen eventually. Hopefully the game's GTS implementation is a bit more secure this time around so it isn't as easy to get them in-game.

I'm kind of torn. On the one hand it's nice to have a way to get "legit" event Pokemon I may have missed, so that's nice. But now we're probably going to get the new mythicals leaked ages before they're announced.

Remember, if you get a male Larvesta and breed it with Ditto, it'll just reset the child's Poke Bal linto a standard one anyway.

Heh, I don't use Ditto for breeding. Haven't been able to get into anyone's friends list who has them. I've got a male with 3 perfect IVs, just need a timid female with HP and SpD and Flame Body now.

Isn't that where you catch 6 pokemon, wonder trade them and then use that as your team for the whole game?

Honestly the game is fairly easy if you go it slow. My opinion: Go with the pokemon you think are cool and play the game that way. It doesn't really matter what you roll unless you play online or something.
