That's pretty much what I'm experimenting with right now. Using choice scarf gardevoir to do some wish passing/will o wisping/light screening.

Nothing much I just want to fiddle around with your team a bit maybe throw a gengar in

Levitate/flying would help you a lot considering you hvae no counter to EQ or my webs.

Pokebank isn't up so any Pokemon I have you can likely get with lil effort. Then they wanna get pissy at me when I lock down an offer cause I'm tired of playing Poke-charades or gold fish or w/e you wanna call it >:/

Choice Scarfing doesn't seem advisable. I don't know what hold item I'd use, but I'm thinking about Wish/Will-O-Wisp/Moonbeam/Psychic or Taunt with a Defense raising nature and EVs in Defense and HP.

Ugh, I dunno. I just want to make something good. :lol
 
Battle Spot trainers rage quitting by switching off their wifi when they have just lost or are about to lose will never get old.

I lie, it was old already the first time it happened.
 
Anybody wants to exchange Aromatisse for Slurpuff? I have two Swirlixes (Swirlixi?) with Whipped Dreams, if you have 2 Spritzees with Satchels we can trade and both end up with Slurpuff and Aromatisse :) Please PM me if you want to do so.
 
Anyone else feel the pacing in this game is really weird? I got to Lumiose City.

1st town has nothing. 2nd town is barren with a gimped pokemon center. Long forest area until you can get to the first real town. You get Roller Skates, Gym Battle, and EXP Share all in this town. I've been encountering more pokemon in this small span of time then I ever had in a Pokemon game. The last game I played was Soul Silver for reference (I bought Black 1 and Black 2 but haven't played them :S). Next town is the biggest in the game.

Haha wait until you begin yearning for your second gym. The pacing is horrendous in this game, but it picks up after the second gym.

The only odd thing is the long gap between the first and second gym. Dunno why you find the forest area strange since that's a pretty obvious throwback to the first games, and not really a pacing issue since that's all an introduction to the mechanics before the first gym. Throwing you straight into a gym battle would be more weird.

Lumiose is huge, yes, but you'll keep revisiting it as other areas open up to you that aren't available from the first visit.
 
One day they'll really start fucking with the story/pacing formula and then I'll be happy.

I have no idea what they could do with it really. Having a bunch of friends was a good start if it had actually mattered more - i.e. they'd turned up to do more stuff, or you ran into them in random places ahead of you, or something.
 
Waiting for people to come online so you can access the 3rd Pokemon in their safari which is actually the one that you wanted is the worst thing ever.

I'll tell you what's worse. Being at a type advantage with one pokemon left each and able to OHKO but your opponent has quick claw and then puts you to sleep, then you have to watch as they chip away at you turn by turn :/
 
Woah. I got my first shiny in Y and I didn't actually catch it! I was out in a cafe this afternoon and while playing a random passerby who I don't know turned up on my bottom screen. They started a trade with me. We traded a few things. I traded a Scyther and a Gible and he traded a Gengar and Clauncher. We never actually spoke as I didn't know where he was sitting until he went to leave and he spotted me and waved.

Anyway, I didn't think much of it until I got home and took a second look at the Clauncher he gave me.....

*edit* Wow even it's nature is pretty good. Special attack is a Clawitzer's best stats. I'm going to EV train it and add it to my team.
 
Hah, I now have all the XY starters from some particularly nice people on Wonder Trade. Why you'd give them away is a mystery to me, but there you go.

I had to turn off EXP share because my pokemon were leveling past my badge level just from catching pokemon from town to town.

I use Wonder Trade to deposit all my breeding-offspring, and I imagine that's where most starters come from now. Can't wait to get my Piplup, Treecko and Cyndaquil over from PokeBank and deposit them all over the Wonder Trade~!

That's why I said experiment. :P I wanted to see if I could make her something like a revolving cleric, setting up support and then switching out. Also to see if choice scarf would give me the extra advantage of setting up first.

Still, I feel like if I wanted someone with that kind of utility I might as well just use klefki.

How do I spread Pokerus again? I have a party member with it (it says Pokerus, there is not the purple smile), I've tried fighting and running around but my other party members have not contracted it. Should I just try some more.

Finally beat the Elite 4...
Team: Tallonflame, Lapras, Venusaur, Marrowak, Pangora, Gardeviour.
Could have done better vs. Champion
The last Pokemon...If I had taught tallonflame u-turn that could have worked (would have tried to use T-bolt...I have a ground type...) or just decided to brave bird off the bat rather than toxic, then revive and faint as the health drops but predict full restore and burn it then do the same...if it was not items (for both of us) I would have won with a Lapras with 2HP remaining...

As for team. Marrowak and Pangoro basically did nothing (one or two kills). They're both a bit slow and not super-tanky.

And now I have that NPC to check IVs and...my goodness I'll have to calculate the Blaziken IVs myself to see how terrible they are.

It is odd a mystery gift is not rigged to be better...the in-game trades seem to be rigged. The two I unlocked after becoming champion have 2 perfect IVs each and are relatively superior.

If you don't mind about it being yours or whatever, pop it onto GTS. As in Swirlix w/Whipped Dream for Slurpuff. Soon enough someone will do the trade...
 
Guys, supposedly I want an Adamant Golett with Iron Fist. All I have is an Adamant Golett with Klutz and random natured Dittos (no FS with it yet). I keep getting Adamant Klutz Golett for their offsprings. Is there a chance for Adamant and Iron Fist Golett later or am I screwed without Adamant Ditto?
