So we're potentially going to have 4 SKUs at launch? 16/32 black; 16/32 white?

God, ordering this thing is going to a total nightmare (though I think we've all come to expect that from Google at this point).

dont other Snapdragon 800 phones have 3000mAh batteries? 5" will suck it up. There is no magic bullet here.

No. There are few phones on the market with the S800. Right now, the G2 is the only one with a battery that size with that processor, and it is 5.2in. It has a ridiculous battery life, longer than anyone would ever need (almost two days). This will probably easily get a full day's battery life with heavy usage.

The S800 is significantly more battery efficient than the S600, which is on a lot of phones, including the One, I believe.

would be better if the front was white as well. simply changing the back plate is cheap.

No. It needs a black front. This isn't iOS 7. Any other mobile OS isn't light enough for a white front.

G2, Z1, Xiaomi 3, all have 3000 mah batteries.

The SN800 version of the Galaxy S4 has a 2600 battery.

Finally a reliable source gives us a date. I waited since the return of my holidays to buy a new phone (I lost my galaxy s3 during my trip to Vietnam), postponing every phones I could buy to wait for the next nexus. i can't wait :-)

For me, getting a Nexus 5 2013 means definitely getting a Nexus 5 2014 because I suspect that one will have major changes. For example, the RAM will definitely be bumped. However, I'd be happy with the N4 for another year. Good phone. If the N5 camera is that much better, I'll get it. If not, see you next year.

I've made up my mind. Now go away, hype. ...I hope.

I really want to buy the white Nexus 5, but I'm worried that it might have the staining issue the white Nexus 7 had...

wow that sucks and im pretty sure if the N5 is the same meaterial as the New Nexus 7 that might happen. I'm still on the fence on white or black might just be save and pull the trigger on the black

I feel exactly the same. I don't think I want it, let alone need it but I could be swayed. The battery life would have to massively improved over the N4 as it really is atrocious.

A few quick questions. I'll be in the US from the 10th November --> 30th. If I can't get an N5 here in the UK, either because it's not released here or it's immediately out of stock, would I ...

a) Be able to walk into a shop anywhere in the US and buy one without a contract and

b) Would I be likely to come into any problems with it being a US phone? It's - I believe - quad band so I think the SIM should be fine. Power etc?

Not sure about the second one, but if the Nexus 4 is anything to go by, it'll only be available unlocked on Google Play. It was never in US stores, outside of the overpriced version from T-Mobile.

You won't be able to buy it from anywhere except ebay. See if you can get a US friend to buy it for you.

Or a foreign buyer service (its baiscally a relay shipping service.)

looks very nice.

works on T-Mobile right? What is their really cheap plan? $30/month for unlimited and some minutes? or is it $40?

I wanted to buy my second Nexus 4 tonight (the first one got stolen).
Should I wait a few days or just go ahead and buy another N4?

Why would you expect noon? As far as I remember, the N4 info dump was in the afternoon?

TheVerge coverage started at 12:10 pm for the Nexus 4.

However, they just put up a feature story on the military this morning, so I doubt the dump is coming today, unless they plan to quickly bury the current story.

hmm but one their site it looks like it says for the $30 plan you need to buy the phone through TMobile?? I'm pretty sure I'm always under 100 min and usually use around 4 GB of data per month.

Definitely not, I got my phone from Newegg and bought the $0.99 SIM from Tmo

You can use any compatible phone. You have to either buy the sim card through T-mobile or Walmart and activate there.

so what is your final bill every month after fees and taxes with the $30 plan?

with Verizon right now I my final charge is $58 (work discount) for unlimited and 300 minutes (no text, I use Google Voice). Definitely considering switching when my Verizon contract is up in a few months.

It's $30... I think they charge sales tax on the cards if you buy them to refill but not if you refill from your phone. That's the only possible charge though.

You don't even have to pay tax. Walmart and Target doesn't charge you tax if you buy the $30 refill card.
