Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | October 2013 | Ver 2000, Batman and some Angry Birds

But isn't the GR's DLCs just costume....? What makes them so special....?
Lol no. They are a full mission set. 3 story and 1 special for each. I bought them a long time ago before the Indie Boom but they are still fun to replay every once in a while. If you love Gravity Rush the moment you touch it, it's in your best interest to pick it up at the same time so it folds into the game nicely.

Just fired up Gravity Rush for the first time today.

WOW.

What a beautiful, extraordinary game. Insanely high production values, fascinating story, and as much charm as one can possibly fit into a new IP. Kat is an amazing character, and the gameplay - while it takes some getting used to - is fresh and doesn't feel like anything I've done before.

I got it for free on PS+ but I'm picking up a retail copy to support the devs.

Yes! Got the DLC, enjoy the game, buy the sequel when it hits.

I'm curious to see what impact can PS+ have in GR2 sales compared to the first game.

I personally want to buy the retail version, but i'm not doing it until next year. I have some must buys in the next few months... what is weird, because in 2014 I only want to buy two PS3 retail games (+ KH1.5) but more than 5 for the Vita.

The number of people interested in playing it at launch because of the free GR1 may be balanced out by the people who pass on it expecting it to follow as a PS+ game in the future.

I think Muramasa is going to be my personal GOTY. Just finished Chapter 7 as Kisuke and on my way to the last part. I cannot wait to play through as Momohime.

Shit, that's right :(

This is one of those times when GAF =/= The world, right? xD

I think anybody uploaded an image with those hype JRPG tweets. So here they are :)

How is Muramasa compared to Dragon's crown? I've only played through all A routes in DC, but either Amazon wasn't for me or I simply haven't grasped how to properly play as her. Seemed like all I ever did was auto attack whilst evading and juggling War Paint and potions. Overall, wasn't an enjoyable experience. (Should give it a go as another character soon I suppose.)

I don't think so. But I don't know if that tweet is thread worthy. It's a especulation based of something he could have said without thinking. Hope you are right though :)

And... does the new characters in Muramasa have their own history? It seems so seeing the trailer. I imagine they are using the same stages that the game currently have.

Yes they have their own story, there are new bosses and enemies, but obviously there will be lots of reuse.

Another non-requested entry in the 2+2=5 vk3 chronicle:
This time i made many story fights easily, but i don't want to burn everything so fast so i'll make some side quests before going on with the story.
The knuckles are shit though and the akatoki job can use only them, i'll change the job of my character with fighter or samurai, i love using the lance, it's powerful and has a cool moveset.

MY MONEY! WHERE ARE THEY GOING?!?!??!

This is the effect of a status that makes you lose money with time, it's like poison but it affects money... Man if you don't cure it asap you will lose lots of money!

I have finally built my first robot character, it can't use equipment(obviously) but it can use some normal weapons and robot exclusive weapons, i haven't bought any of those at the moment but looking at their names or descriptions they seems to be machine guns, tasers/electric guns and chainsaws.
Here its 6 colors

I think I might of done a boo boo.

I've just got the collectors edition of Muramasa through the post not realising that it's NA region whereas my psn account is Euro.
I know that retail games are region free so there's no problem in actually playing the game, but am I right in saying that you can't mix region dlc?

I which case it's going to be a right pain in the ass if I want those dlc episodes.

That DLC trailer was sick!

They really downplayed the amount of content each episode would have but it does seem like it will still be devent lengths to the stories.

Shame that ot wont include much in the way of new enemies outside of bosses. All the new abilities look like fun though!

Correct. You'll have to account switch to an NA PSN ID.

Burnout Legends is SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Graphics wise there are jaggies and the visual quality's downgrade for PSP isn't that bad.
...but man...wish there was a native res Burnout game like the PS2 era, the crashing and the sense of speed and overtaking other cars is awesome in these games.

Played about 10 minutes of Proteus last night. Wandered around lost for a bit and then promptly fell asleep. It was cool. I'll have another play tonight.

But isn't the GR's DLCs just costume....? What makes them so special....?

Hell no. It's 4 missions, 8 trophies, and a costume (for each dlc) for a total of 3 costumes, 12 missions, and 24 trophies.

Exactly. I like you! Keep posting here. :)

More repetitive, in a sense. You can do a little more in terms of combat (it's closer to an action game than a brawler), but most people seem to prefer the actual core gameplay of Dragon's Crown it seems (myself included). I enjoyed Muramasa, but I don't blindly recommend it to everyone. It's sort of like the Dishwasher games on XBL.

I'm glad they were able to get Dragon Quest 8.

Oh hell no. I will not be playing that again. Ever. :lol

"2 chapters" are what each of the scenarios will consist of (with 2 "new" bosses).

Really happy with Sine Mora

apart from the fact i accidentally restarted my game back to square one

Good. More people need to like this game. ;)

Nice. Day one once it hits NA PSN athough I don't have the game for the PS Vita yet since I am still in the process of 100% it on the Wii.

Wow, you must really love the game... If I ever 100% it, it will just be the Vita version... I don't think I could do it twice.

Depending on the price, I'd buy the DLC day one in NA. I wish there were some sort of season pass or something though. Give me a discount if I'm going to buy all of them.

All migrated onto my new 64gb card. Hooray!

Currently, I have 14gb free. I'm sure some of that will free up as I start to delete some bigger games when I finish them (TWD, Totori, etc.)

including importing and S+H?!??!

I should sell off my 32 and get a 64.

sorry, 14 days from order date. They were out of stock and had to wait until they got more in when I ordered. They shipped it out on the 24th and it's here now. :D

Yes, including importing and S+H was freeeeeee!!!!

That's a better deal than I got. Mine was about $113 after adding in the cost to call Japan and ask Nippon-Yasan about helping me track it and get it out of customs.

I'll have to look into yesasia next time, though I have a good overall impression of Nippon-Yasan too.

Maybe for my VitaTV, eventually.
Has anyone in here imported and set one of those up in the US yet?

vitaTV isnt out yet - ( november 14th!!)

edit : ( you prolly knew that and are asking if any "reviewers" have go hands on with it...)

Know the funny thing? Every physical Vita game I own I have a double copy of from PS+. Except for Ninja Gaiden, Hot Shots, and MLB 12. I'll have lots of good news for that 64GB one day.

I'm glad they were able to get Dragon Quest 8.

Wait, actually? Because that would be awesome if they did. It would look amazing on the OLED, and has a mountain of gameplay in it, it would keep hungry Vita owners who hadn't played it yet occupied for a long time.
