I like how Marvel have now started the trend of having the useless after credit scene at the very end. If the scene is important, they stick it in the middle.

I'm just scared of going to the cinema and the screening is full of Loki fangirls screaming every time he appears onscreen...

I sat one row behind a bunch of teenage girls. I have never heard as many "iiiihhi" "oooh" and "aaaah"s in a cinema before.
Be prepared.

Saw it last night. It was pretty good fun, but not something I'm particularly bothered about watching again. I left entertained.

I do think Chris Hemsworth sounds like he has a blocked nose, though.

Just saw it, I think it's one of the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Some things in the story can be dumb (warning, actual big spoiler:
Loki dies by getting a thing through his stomach and he dies but not really cause he survived that for some unexplained reason
) but overall I thought it was very entertaining as a big fun dumb superhero movie.

Also,
the Captain America cameo was neat
.

Caught a matinee today. Really enjoyed it, it's not as cheesy as the first one, though Hopkins does have the odd line that made me laugh. The action was excellent and I really love the whole mixing of sci-fi and fantasy.

The credits were great too. I'd love a wallpaper of
Loki sitting on the throne

Just came back. Great fun!
Movie seemed pretty long but it was entertaining throughout. Thought
the way malekith died was bleh. Mid-credits scene was amazing, got me so hyped for guardians.

Fucking good. I want to see it again. Can't wait for the rest of phase 2 and everything marvel.

Just saw it..A much MUCH better film than the first,no contest.
Story is pretty good and visual effects are just eye-popping !
Minor story spoiler
Chris Evans is pretty good as Cap in the Loki/Thor scene lol

Post-generic spoiler
I was pretty surprised to see Benicio Del Torro as the collector!
He will be good in GotG

I forgot about the whole midcredits thing. I'd be upset about missing it if I didn't know I'd be seeing the entire thing leaked pretty shortly.

Oh, I enjoyed the movie by the way. It was substantially better than the first one.

ummmm
Spoiler?

I loved the hell out of the movie.
Seems like Marvel are easing up on their censorship, there was an actual swear word in the film and some
limb chopping
which I wasn't expecting. IMO it bodes well for The Punisher and Dare Devil and maybe Marvel won't be scared of releasing them with a higher rating.

It really was much better and grander in scale compared to the first film. It handled the balance between humour and seriousness really well unlike Iron Man 3.
The chemistry between Thor and Loki was great and that Youtube video on the previous page come across much better when watching the film as a whole, I actually found myself laughing at the lines. I guess you could say it's due to the scenes with Loki leading up to the Youtube clip scene.

I'm also really happy that the trailers had been really restrained and didn't spoil too much.

The you-know-who cameo was pretty sweet. Probably one of the highlights of the film.

Loki fangirls were annoying. They were squealing all through the film whenever he appeared. I don't get it. He's not even good-looking. But then again neither is Benderdick Cucumberpatch and he too has fanclub.

Odin is still an arrogant fool and an old man.

Asgard looks so much better in this film. I remember not being impressed with it in the first film because it looked too glittery.

The lack of other Avengers' presence at the pivotal moment in the film is kind of annoying. Because you know this is the same universe and yet at the same time their presence are barely acknowledged.

That final scene only really went for like 10 minutes or so (real time), they mention how long they need to defend for. I doubt either Iron Man or Shield could fly that fast.

My Apartment, or the 120 Screenings of Salo
So yeah a shot from the mid-credits scene of
Benicio Del Toro as The Collector
has leaked out. Bit blurry but it gives a rough idea. (Not sure how to spoiler images so I just linked it)

Got to say he looked a lot less camp on screen.

Can you fix your link, please? It just leads to a picture of Will Ferell from zoolander.

I just came back from watching this and I really enjoyed it, love the tube scene and is why I prefer Marvel movie over DC.

Goddamit! Thor is not playing at my local IMAX (real) theater, Ender's Game is (which I have no interest in). So I'll have to see it at the cineplex.:(

I don't need them to appear but it'd be nice to get a mention as to why they can't be there and helping out as Earth is crumbling down to pieces (that's just a figure talk not actual spoiler btw).

I was kinda expecting some of the passerby to say something like "Not again" lol

and then in Winter Soldier trailer you got scene where another one of Helicarrier crashlanded, the MCU just really can't catch a break, and I think it all happens in less than a year since Avengers. hahaha

Proof that it's not looks that matter if you want to get a girl. What Hiddleston and Cumberbatch has, is charisma. Pure and simple. If you have that it doesnt matter how you look.

I just saw those Kat Dennings picture.

Would x 1000

As for the obsession over Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch: I don't get it. Hiddleston is a normal looking guy and Cumberbatch is kind of weird looking, but I guess is where the "I'm in movies!" factor comes into play.

Saw it yesterday. Was ok, bit slow to get started, but the shorter runtime than modern averages is welcome

i was prescreening it for my kids who have seen all the marvel movies, but I think this one is a bit too stabby, so will skip a family trip

also the last big set piece felt a bit like an episode of Scooby Doo (you know, where the gang are running in and out of doors etc)

injecting lightness of tone is important, but this veers into slapstick a bit too often

Never knew he had fangirls...

I know he's a charming fellow, but his character on-screen doesn't strike me as such.

Again, they have charisma high as as fuck.

Watched the local premiere last night. I liked it a lot, it is mostly a great comedy and a huge fan service package for Marvel fans.

The overall story line is simplistic - like it should be.

The end battle was awesome. Some great music here and there too.

But mostly it's a comedy, through and through.

Watched it earlier and liked it a lot. It was great to see Loki back in action although I'm far from a fanboy. Good comedy and nice fights, all around a good addition to the MCU.

Spoilers:

1.
I saw Loki not dying for real from a mile away and him posing at that Asgardian soldier was expected as well but I flipped in my chair when it was revealed that he disguised himself as Odin. I guess he killed him?

2.
So they've acknowledged the Infinity Gems/Stones and revealed two (the Tesseract and the Aether) I assume that at least Guardians of the Galaxy will revolve around one or more.

Just back from seeing it.

Really didnt like the first half of the film at all and think it's the worst Marvel have done, but the second half is a lot better, and a LOT of fun once the whole thing starts swinging. The finale in particular was really visually and conceptually impressive.

Avengers > Iron Man 1 > Thor > Iron Man 3 > Thor: The Dark World > Captain America > Iron Man 2

I'll always head to Bondi Junction Event - which have gotten better about the weightlifters in the gym downstairs shaking the whole fucking cinema every time they drop the bar. I used to get free Vmax tickets because of that annoying shit.

Sculli's an Aussie? I've learnt something new today... I feel ashamed that I went and saw Thor TDW at a small Hoyts cinema, still enjoyed it shitloads though... Definitely liked it more than IM3.
