PlayStation 4 All Access on 11/14 - 11pm EST on Spike + Live Stream

I remember that pic of a pirate like design getting leaked a while back from footage taken at ND studios.

I wonder if this could mean a Sir Francis Drake Uncharted game

So my predictions for what we see.

Uncharted 4 teaser
Resistance 4 reveal, developed by Sony Bend.

I can't see Epic revealing anything there just yet, although it's certainly plausible.

sorry dude, but resistance (4) is finished!
uncharted 4 on the VGAs and not on the 14th of nov.

I do believe Bish might like a word, Mr first time poster.

Those sound like (rather obvious) guesses more than anything. Resistance is more than likely done after 3 bombed and most of us think Uncharted is more likely to show at the VGAs than a random late thursday night when everyone is in line waiting to buy a system or in bed for work/school the next day.

No one's said it, so here it goes.

Maybe Mark Rein is just excited for PlayStation 4?

Not sure if anyone realized, but his Twitter post wasn't a response to Geoff Keighley's tweet. Whoever initially posted the image just stacked it on top of Keighley's tweet. But the way it's formatted makes it looks as if it's a response to it.

That said, there's no reason to expect an Epic Games reveal during the event at all. Though that's not to say they won't be on PlayStation 4. Or that they won't have a reveal. They'll definitely be on the platform in some way, I'm guessing. Probably with Fortnite. Though I'd like to see something new from them on the scale of Gears.

I just don't see any direct indication or tease that they'll reveal something on the 14th.

But you know, it'd be cool if they did.

What time is this event in Scandinavia?

He retweeted Geoff's tweet.

D'oh.

We can all rest easy now, but the possibility of it being just Fortnight still holds, which would be tragic. We need a brand new never before seen announcement, and like you said, hopefully it's on the scale of Gears.

That's key, I think. Not that it is actually a Gears sequel (that'd be the wrong move), but that it is blockbuster on the scale of Gears.

Resistance wouldn't take much time to promote as the series is established. They could announce the game now and easily release in August. I do agree about UC though, it will be at the VGAs.

Nah the series has had poor sales and used to be made by Insomniac. Theres very very very little chance its ever coming back. I say forget about it.

So just to make sure I'm up to date, the rumored games are:

Demon's Souls 2
something from Epic
Uncharted 4

And we are assuming that Epic will most definitely be on the GTTV special while Uncharted is at the VGAs correct? I admit I would go crazy for all three of those announcements (well I guess it depends on what exactly Epic's game is) so I'm definitely interested.

Where is the Epic rumor from?

Well instead of getting a full on reveal in the launch event maybe we'll just get a logo ala Agent?
A small teaser for full reveal and in game trailer for VGAs?

Ds2 won't be there, famous says too early to show it

While I would prefer a new IP as opposed to Uncharted, I'm still excited nonetheless for an Uncharted 4. Just hope they tone down the combat and mix things up a bit. I thought Uncharted 2 was the better balanced. Hope we navigate the ocean or something like that. That'd be pretty cool.

This is where a more dedicated GAFfer would try to verify if the outfits from the screengrab check out for the time period in which Francis Drake was active.

Two hours.

Two hours, really? The cynicism around here is too high, then. The last time we thought "nothing will come from a two hour presentation", Sony announced Natural Doctrine, Wonder Flick, a Mobile Suit Gundam game, Yakuza Ishin, and Lily Bergamo (and these are just the games I was personally interested in). And that was for a two-hour presentation that also had to launch the PS4 officially in Japan, announce a launch date, sum up the titles that were being released for the PS3, and the Vita, and announce the Vita TV.

We did indies already. Sony hyped the fuck out of indies at Gamescom. On the night of a console hotly anticipated since...at least 2010, you think we'll get absolutely NOTHING for TWO SOLID HOURS? That's basically assuming Sony to be incompetent.

For those who forgot, Sony said over 180 video games were in development. 100 of which were to be released between November 2013 and November 2014. Of those 180, we know roughly 100 of them, several of which we KNOW won't be coming out next year (KH3, Cyberpunk 2077, a few others). They could announce like, five titles for the event, and STILL have three or four reveals for the VGAs.

Then, they can pretty much go silent until E3 and trickle out a game or two here and there for the next seven months (and all during this time, by the way, more developers will be working on games for them) and do yet ANOTHER blow out show next year.

In short: If people are saying new games are coming, there's a good chance new games are coming.

So...what even happens at this event?

Someone holding a mic says something like "the wait is almost over"

that doesn't fill two hours.

can someone explain this?
