Boss Doggie
all my loli wolf companions are so moe
I kinda miss the sword becoming large and stuff in 64
What's this? What's this? It's Link up in the air?
What's this? A buff; oh, do I dare?
What's this? He takes it away if it's not fair?
WHAT IS THIS?
BUFFS?! BALANCE?! TESTS?!
IT'S TOO REAL

Pic of the day. Link's downward strike was designed to change to a Meteor Smash when the tip of the sword is aligned just right at the start. However, it will be removed if it's deemed too powerful overall after some multiplayer play tests.

Pyrosphere's the bomb, Bankslammer. It's that true shit. Pyrosphere is TRUE shit.
It's probably just one of the only stages that's pretty far along in development that he can easily use to show off mechanics.
Obviously his next project will be an open world Metroid game full of details and content like Smash and Kid Icarussakurai's fixation with pyrosphere is all sorts of confusing
It's kind of hard to consider it much of a buff when going offstage with Dair and taking that risk far outweighs the benefits. As it is, in both Melee and Brawl, Link (if he misses the Dair) couldn't make it back to the stage because of the huge amount of endlag the move has. And its onstage uses would still be the same, anyway, unless the meteor pops grounded opponents up for Link to follow-up on for combos.
It doesn't target what makes Link bad, it's just giving him something and not understanding where his problems actually lie. It doesn't target his strengths, either. Dair was already a good move to use for KOs, it didn't need another option to KO with (especially one as risky as a meteor). Yeah, it kind of rewards you for going offstage with it, at least, but it's not helping him much.
But hey he could find it to be "OP" (under the context of what he balances under, which is likely with items on and for mid level players in mind) and take it out anyway so I guess I shouldn't think about it too much. However, it'd also be a bad sign if he took it out because it was considered OP, because tbh I'm finding it hard to believe it would have anything more than very, very situational usage.
Where's Mewtwo? Or Ridley?
But mans is already so buff.Link needs more buffs
They're in the background but are veryyyyyy, veryyyyy tiny pixels that you have to zoom in on in order to see. Sakurai felt it was a good idea to make them hidden in a stage instead of playable so players have something to find years from now.
Just like the legendary double DDD on Dreamland 64 in Melee.
He could be the buffest of them all, thoughBGBW said:But mans is already so buff.
...I really hope you didn't count.
Oh my
Maybe Adult Link won't suck anymore
But link sucking is a smash tradition
Are you counting the day that he was mentioned but not shown?
nope, since E3. Gotta take it from the start.

But so is Shadow not being playable.
I have to wonder if this stage is as plain as it looks. If there's not, like, rising lava a la Brinstar, etc.

Link with a meteor smash? Top tier confirmed.
Do we still have multiple air dodge in this game right?
