huh surprised to see so many negative opinions. I went in ready to hate it because I thought the first film was basically a paper on why its stupid to try and make Thor into a film but I really liked Dark World.

I thought the humour really worked, Loki especially was really good, I thought it created a pretty believable sense of dread, the conclusion was suitably epic and the scene in the credits was probably the best one they've done.

I think other than the first Iron Man its probably my favourite Avengers film.

Saw it last night and enjoyed it. Thought it was a nice upgrade to the first film, sort of what IM2 should have been.

Gonna go see it tomorrow in 3D. I NEED to see that special Captain America: Winter Soldier preview. May watch it again in 2D depending on how good the film is.

Awesome movie !

Just back from watching and I enjoyed it immensely .......... up there with The Avengers, possibly better.

Damn, pretty good movie. They should call it the Thor and Loki movie or just Loki. Really. Theater went crazy everytime Loki said something or did something cool. Truth be told, he's the best part of the franchise.

That was a lot of fun. Not great. Not terrible. It took itself just seriously enough but wasn't afraid to be silly occasionally.

Really loved the cameo when they talked about companions. Big laugh from the audience there.

Just saw the film. The actions scenes were incredible, loved the sci-fi/fantasy aesthetic of Asgard and the dark elves. And of course Tom Hiddleston is great as Loki. Unfortunately, there are pacing problems, especially in the beginning, and although Hemsworth does an admirable job, his character is kind of dull (which was also a problem in the Avengers). I miss the brash, devil may care Thor of the first film. But all in all, a solid, entertaining blockbuster film.

Also, the new footage for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was awesome. It's a lot like the first trailer but with
the full elevator fight scene, more Falcon flying, and Sharon Carter.
Cap 2 is definitely my most anticipated Phase 2 film.

My theater didn't have the Captain America footage.... WTF!!!!!!!!! Saw Thor in 3D

The extra footage sounds awesome.

On every level this is the biggest pile of shit ive watched out of the Marvel movies. How anyone could like this is beyond me.

But take my opinon with a pinch of salt because I also thought IM3 was hot garbage too.

Loved the movie. I think it was amazing, easily the best marvel movie after Avengers. It had everything: drama, action, story, humor.

Liked the movie. It did take some time to find its footing, but once
the Dark Elves attacked Asgard
, it was awesome all the way through.
Loki as king is gonna be sweet

1 down, 5 to go. So the Collector will be part of the Guardians movie, right?

Just got back from an Imax 3d showing. I'll keep this short, I liked the movie and it was better than the previous Thor.

What is the extra Cap footage people are speaking of ? Does the 3-D version get that ?

See my above post. Also I forgot the end of the trailer in which
we see Winter Soldier picking up Cap's shield with a medium closeup showing black paint on his eyes evoking the domino mask look from the comics. Fucking badass.

Not enough salt in the world for your opinions buddy.

Sorry. I dont mind comic book movies playing with their source material but
Thor flying spaceships, Tony stark having anxiety attacks, Asgard having flying gunships and Paper thin Iron man armors
are just the tip of the iceberg of things that put me off.

Even within the rules established with their retrospective film universes, neither film makes a lick of sense, never mind when compared to their source material.

Saw this tonight. It was pretty good. I left the theater feeling better about the Marvel brand after that fucking feces known as abomination Iron Man 3

Just got back.

Fucking loved it. Started off a little bit slow, but it picked up quickly, and once
Loki gets out of his cell
it was just fucking amazing all the way to the end.

Loki stole the show for me. At this point, he's my second favorite character in the MCU after Tony Stark. Hiddleston's performance gave me legit Ledger's Joker vibes in the sense that you wanted him on the screen more than Thor (Batman), and when he WAS on the screen, everything was awesome.

The film was hilarious. More gags and humor than Iron Man 3 or Avengers, and those two films were full of them. Laughed out loud throughout the entire film. Definitely one of the things I appreciate about the MCU films, they know how to strike the perfect balance between serious and light hearted.

I really liked Iron Man 3, but I think I may have liked Dark World a bit better. Definitely a stronger film than Thor 1. Check it out people.

I hope it hits a billion >_<

This is a really fun movie, but if you think about the plot for more than two seconds the whole thing kind of collapses like a house of cards hit by a gentle breeze.

So yeah, probably not a good movie but a really fun one.

I will agree that the film came alive once Loki was in it. It was fine before, but once he became more prominent, the film just got so much better. I especially love the chemistry between Hiddleston and Hemsworth.

It was ok. It reminded me of the first film, which was just ok. Maybe this one is slightly less cheesier and has some more badass action scenes but overall it has a same feel to it. Probably gonna skip all future Thor films.

I can't say I liked this movie too much, but I can't say I disliked it either. Loki was great as expected, but the movie felt really sloppy and the villain and Dark Elves just weren't nearly as interesting as I was hoping...

There were too many coincidences and unexplained plot points, and the fact that a
race of people who are advanced enough to travel the cosmos don't know how to stop the Aether from consuming the universe but human technology can is laughable.

What makes it more enjoyable for me than the first one is that it's less focused on Earth, and
The Collector credits scene REALLY left me wanting more.

Also
dat Cap cameo.

Yeah, not really a fan.
I wasn't too big on the first one either, but after The Avengers, I thought maybe this'd be better.
It was all over the place though.

More or less how I felt. A big step up in terms of entertainment from the first Thor, which I think is the worst Marvel flick by far (of this "universe" thing they're cultivating, at least), but the plot is definitely dumb as a box of rocks.

Kat Dennings is a good part of why these are fun, people should stop pretending otherwise.

Saw it today. Really enjoyed it.

"Fun and funny" is how I would describe it. I think the Marvel films are getting to a point where we're getting so familiar with the characters from seeing them all the time that they can get away with a lot of rough edges and still make enjoyable films.

I mean, if I was asked to I could probably describe about 100 dumb-as-hell things about the plot or other issues (Anthony Hopkins's disdain for being in this led to some bizarre as hell Odin-moments; I swear it was like he was going senile) but I honestly don't care about them.

I don't care that Malakazam or whatever his name was possessed almost zero character, stole the powers from the Prototype games, and was gonna do some bad guy stuff for bad guy reasons - it was an absolute joy to see Thor, Loki, Heimdall being badasses and shooting the shit with each other.

The whole shared universe thing really makes the films feel bigger than they are.

Also, gotta love that all the London-centric action. I'm guessing we're giving lots of tax breaks or something?

Damn it! I only stayed for the halfway one. Can someone spoiler the second one?

Is not as big as the halfway one is just
Thor coming back to Jane's apartment as the rest just watch them making put, then we see the frost beast jumping around London chasing some pigeons

Well, that and the pressure from the return of the Dark Elves
along with his loved wife getting killed

As much as i loved the Malekith yes, he's just there, this was Loki's movie. Also is nice to see a non all-american setting for once.
