Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

I see. How many pages does that trilogy book have? I imagine the book looks funny especially if it has small area and just a large number of pages.

Yup, I agree that it's not always 100% but in cases where the original content is, that was always the superior version.

I have to agree at the Naruto one. Cyber Connect are gods are making them look and feel better. I wish we get another .//Hack game. I'm so itching for one I can't stand it.

It's a very old edition, but my family loves books. It says printed in 1986. It's only 1100 pages, but the paper is very thin, and the letter are rather small. Some photos here:

Of course it's in Spanish. I have an awesome (and old) edition of The Neverending Story which is printed in two colours too. I don't find it (my room is like a library lol) but I think it was green for Atreyu and red for the other guy or something like that :)

And I have a copy of .//hack Infection. I'd like to collect the other three games, but I can't find them anywhere for a good price :(

Wow. For a book printed long ago, it looks pretty good. The art is lovely too. Can't believe its that small with such a meaty story.

You could try the G.U. series. It has a much better gameplay and graphics. Very famous and wonderful voice actors too. I recommend it if you liked infection. I 100% the three games of the G.U. series. I could do it again if my PS2 was still working or my PC has PS2 emulation capabilities but obviously it has not.

My english grammar is really bad. So that means I can't criticize anything anymore? :(

Obviously! >.>

My English grammar sucks too.

When I went to Zavvi.co.uk to preorder "Tearaway" with a voucher I got from them, I found that the game does not show up at all when you search for it. The same goes for their sister site Thehut.co.uk. I was about to start worrying when I found that, luckily, Amazon still has it up for preorder with the usual release date November 22. Still weird - I KNOW that Zavvi had "Tearaway" up for preorder before, so I wonder what's up with this.

Because in all honesty, if it's not gonna receive a localization I am thinking of importing it. But I don't want to get burned that when after I import it, all of a sudden they announce a localization or some shit like that.

You should have people pay you to buy non localized games so that they will be localized.
The more obscure, the higher the price. You'd be helping the Vita community.

Does anybody have any useful advice for the A+ challenges on Wipeout 2048?

I completed the main campaigns with some difficulty, albeit not that much. However now i've got to the A+ challenges I can't finish any higher than 6th, and thats if I destroy two other ships!

I've mostly been using the Pirhana and the Feisar prototype but i'm wondering if this has been a bad move or are they just hard whatever you use.

Try using better mobilty ships, like EGX speed.

Ok, so it's time for the First VitaGAF campaign fund? Give 2€ to Laughing Banana, so he will import the game everyone wants localized.

The first contestants could be:

- PSO2.
- Type-0
- Tales of Vita (don't attack me D:)

My 2002 PS2 still works perfectly so I would want to make my collection a little bigger. And I don't know how to play PS2 DVDs with PCSX2. But I'd like to finish those games.

And about LOTR... I've said my family LOVES books xD. I think we probably like 500 books at home (or more) and another bunch in the box room (and I cry whenever I think that those poor kids are in such an humid place T.T)

I'll give Laughing Banana $60 as long as he can get those localized. Along with Senran Kagura, Gundam and more.

Now I know why you love Tearaway's paper filled world. :)

My PS2 actually was't broken it just has to be vertically placed so it could read games. Unfortunately I let my HS friend borrow it to play some Xenosaga and I've never seen him since. If you can, playing them at PCs are highly recommended and is advantageous especially with increased graphical performance and resolutions along with quicksaves.

Just saw that Space Invaders Extreme is in the EU sale (PSP, playable on PSV). From memory that was a pretty cool game on PSP. Anyone remember it better than me? :)

Yes, it's an incredibly awesome modern take on the classic formula, with power ups, bosses and kick ass visuals and music. The menu music is some of the best. Wish that was on the US store, i only have the umd verion here. :(

Awww yeeeaaah. God I'd love a new Space Invaders Extreme.

We have one that gets passed around from time to time. For privacy purposes it gets posted in email tags since we've had random people from gamefaqs reading this board share the list publicly. Quote this post and go to the url in the email tag to visit it.

Added myself to the list. Thanks!

Yes, that and the fact that Tearaway world looks like my desk xD

I've played Tales of the Abyss that way because it wasn't release in EU (with better resolution and some AA). That was before my 360 controller died.

If PS4 controllers works good in PCSX2 and in my PS3 (I don't want to tweak things), I'll buy one of those in a heartbeat. That way I'll finally be able to play Bioshock in my PS3 xD

What happened to that
puzzle-free
999 visual novel on iOS that was supposed to be released in the US App Store? I was planning on playing through that game before starting VLR.

ATTN: VitaBros who want to play VLR but haven't played 999.

read these four blog posts. they go over the story, the characters, the endings and what they all mean: http://gameosaurus.com/roahr/2011/04/999-gush-part-1-nonary-evangelism/
Thanks, I might have to use that if 999 iOS isn't released soon.

Hey vitabros, I've recently acquired a vita (awesome deal in UK, grabbed without hesiation).

Now, after playing around with it, I have a few question.

First of all - I have an 8gb card and the 10 games voucher. How much do these vouchers sell for? Should I sell it to fund my PS+ membership or keep it?

Second thing, I have insanely huge hands - most handhelds feel awkward, and with vita's back touchscreen the issue is even more prominent. Due to that, I usually buy a grip such as this one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006LM2Y5A/

Has anyone used their vita with a grip? Does it make the console less awkward to use? Any grips you'd recommend?

You could already buy PS4 controllers you know? :)

Reviews are 95% positive about the PS4 Controller so I'm sure it'll feel great.

It depends whether you like the games included in the voucher. If you don't then sell it for the PS+ subscription.

Nyko or PDP grips are commonly recommended. I never used them myself but I heard they're great.

Edit: The grip on the link is a Nyko one. I think. You're good to go with that. It also adds additional battery life to boot.
Edit2: So it's not a Nyko grip. It just looks like one. It also doesn't add additional battery life. General reviews at Amazons seems to be positive so at that price it seems to be good. Nyko, PDP and Hori grips tend to be more expensive.

The story/lore is one of the best parts of Soul Sacrifice. The whole game pretty much takes place in a book.

I think the cinderella reveal deserves it's own thread. And I did...I couldnt help myself. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=710850

and yes it does deserve it's own thread. I was actually very surprised at how emotional and deep alot of the characters are in SS. My favorite was the fat dude that was literally covered in melted gold and swindled you into fighting for him, and throughout his chapter you're talking about how much you despise his greed and lust to defeat monsters only to be shocked that his true intentions were more generous than you could imagine.

Did you read the description of her story?

Seriously...just fucken read it. It's amazing.

I'm hoping for disney adaptation.

Aint gonna read it. Much better reading backstories with both the amazing soundtrack and the feeling of reading a book. Speaking of SSD, quite disappointed bout the 3rd option being a randomifier element instead of a new option. Understandable, considering there is no sensible middle option between saving and sacrificing. Oh well, huge improvements like expanding levels and combo attacks are good enough.

I think its Oddworld and Soul Sacrifice.

So it's Grimm Brothers exclusive? I thought it was Disney stuff. :)

I actually don't know because I haven't read up on anything SSD related. You quoted ZeroAKA talking about a Grimm faction and I know he played a lot of Soul Sacrifice and probably reads SSD news.

BTW, I now know the secret why you are posting so much. You only own Soul Sacrifice. Your Vita needs more games :)

One of them is "the three little pigs" (the guy in armor with a shield and a mace), you can see him in one of the picture here: http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/soulsacrificedelta/about/

Haha yeah. I was wrong. I though they were wooden shields and stuff but a face? Totally Soul Sacrifice right there.

Dang! I was found out. Unfortunately or rather fortunately my money was spent on buying the system. Plus my current course at school requires I build robots. It's very expensive and takes all my gaming money. I did download EVERY demo and a few free to play and PSM games though so that should keep me busy for a while.

I suddenly feel very disturbed reading this.

Courtesy of Doge Inc.

Based on the outline, could be "The Frog Prince"

Now that I look at it more closely, it seems more likely that could be the case.

Those two shadow monsters are the Three Little Pigs and Hansel & Gretel, the history is what`s yet to be revealed.

Also there is a link with over 60 improvements on the game (one of them according to google) are the graphics. NICE!!

DAY 0 for me

Eh? This is a guessing roller coaster for me. You seem so sure. Do you have a source? An English one preferably.

There are still at least 2 more Soul Sacrifice monsters that haven't been revealed yet, by the way.

I really hope SS Delta adds a new extended story that is about the length of Magusar's main story. It would be interesting to find out how the Grimm faction ties into everything.
