???

Obligatory bump to next page.

That GIF is awesome. I proclaim it needs to be in Vita OPs from now on.

Between the Soul Sacrifice Delta Cinderella image, and the Muramasa DLC image, this is how I feel about Japanese art designers at the moment:

I love it. I won't be sleeping tonight, I think

Hmm very annoying if that's the case. If it's out of warranty it would be worth checking with Sony first but I bet they will overcharge for repairs. Second hand vita may be cheaper. Worst comes to worst the battery doesn't seem impossible to replace manually.

Cheers for the help and advice.

I'll have to see. I'm naively hoping it's just a temporary thing. Never dealt with Sony's repair teams before so that'll be an experience I'm sure. The Vita itself was bought less than 2 months ago.. :(

Ive been playing Sine Mora and I have decided that I hate the garbage level. Totally hate it. Games where its not one touch death should not revert to some kind of one touch death 1/2 through the game... yes, im being a baby about me sucking at the game.

dont worry. my least fav level as well.

Eh, I disagree. It's a little less direct than that. It's more like reading Fellowship of the Ring without having read The Hobbit first. You'll enjoy it more having read The Hobbit, but it isn't critical to your understanding of the story.

Actually, it kind of is critical, but I'm not able to make comparisons without spoiling critical story points. And unfortunately I have to accuse you of ignorance because of it.

Anyone in the US need a brand new 32GB memory card? I got an extra one during Best Buy's clearance for a friend who ended up not buying it, so I'm just looking for initial cost + shipping- about $50 total.

Edit: buyer pending.

Weird stuff is still going on in this thread.
Back to P4G and grinding out the last 1000 kills I need for my Killzone Plat.

EDIT: Also - fuck that Sine Mora garbage level.
So pointless and frustrating.

EDIT2: Also, hyped for Ys. Hopefully there's enough Silver Anniversary editions to go around.

Thanks much, sorely needed upgrade from my 4GB. Vita now my perfect gaming machine :D

The underwater music in Rayman Origins is so good ;_; Whole game is fantastic really

Crackle, Hulu, and Crunchyroll apps were announced for Vita well over a year ago now, and have yet to surface.

Day 1 on PS4.

Well, the PS4 will probably reach Vita sales in 6 months, so the difference in interest is normal.

Still, if they are not willing to port their apps to Vita, Sony should do something :(

Hated it so much that I deleted the game after feeling like I was banging my head against the wall. I can get there without losing a life and then go through the lot on that level.

I do intend to go back at some point.

That part was annoying once i figured out what to do it was easy enough, maybe i got lucky. I find it annoying that they make the game so nice looking but force your eye away to read text because of the lame fake language. Plus the story is hard to follow and i have no idea what happened. Plus i can never get my score above e for some reason.

Its funny now we can just use remote play to get the apps on vita. At least i hope it works, does anyone know?

Crackle IS Sony.

I didn't know that. I'm in a country where those kind of services are not that popular (and the ones released here are kind of shitty), so I'm not very informed about them.

I guess they should work. If games work, and OS functions works, streaming services should work.

No problem and good luck, hope it's nothing. Also sometimes you may have thought you left it charging...but perhaps the cable was plugged in the wrong way (either at the vita or at the power adapter) and it may never have even got that juice.

Hopefully it is just a one-off though, at least it will be under warranty if anything is actually up.

My vita had touchscreen issues for weeks and it fixed itself luckily, was able to return the replacement to amazon.

No, I asked @yosp on Twitter the other day because I thought I could then use this to bypass the stupid fact that Netflix for Vita isn't available in Europe. But he answered that Remote Play is limited to games, and does not extend to apps. :/

EDIT: Unrelated, but one of my friends caved the other day and got a Vita (selling his 3DS to his brother in the process), in no small part due to my constant praise for the system and its games. :) Now he's playing "Hotline Miami" and is thinking of getting "Super Stardust" in the sale.

So my Vita stopped giving me Message and FR notifications. Any ideas on why that would happen? I still get notifications for everything else.

Edit: Everything is ticked in the notification settings BTW.

I am supposed to go on a 2 week vacation to the Philippines on the 15th. I say supposed to as there is currently a huge typhoon about to hit it that may change those plans.

Anyway, I am looking for games to play on my ridiculously long plane rides, but I am not sure there is anything left for me to play.

So looking for perhaps some PSP / PSOne titles I may have missed? Somehow a Vita title I may have missed?

I do not like RPG's or RTS's at all. I know I am missing out on what many consider to be the definitive titles to play on the system with JRPG's and RPG's, but just not my cup of tea.

I have played and fully beaten the following.
Uncharted GA
Rayman Origins
Hotline Miami
Killzone Mercenary
Guacamelle
Sound Shapes
Wipeout 2048
Unit 13
NFS: Most Wanted

I have yet to beat, and still have an interest in..
  • Rayman Legends
  • Spelunky
  • Thomas Was Alone

I still have yet to beat, but kind of lost interest in...
  • Stealth Inc
  • Sine Mora
  • Mutant Blobs Attack
  • AC III Liberation
  • Retro City Rampage

PSP Games I have played (off the top of my head)
All God Of War PSP Titles
Killzone Liberation
Resident Evil

I plan on picking up...
Lone Survivor

That is pretty much all I have planned to pick up, so I am definitely open to suggestions.

Unfortunately Tearaway will be released as I am overseas. I may have access to WiFi, but not 100% sure.

So I am open to any and all suggestions.
TIA, DL

Sooo.... the fact that Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is free for PS+ makes me, for the first time ever, finally connect my PS3 to the net to get it.

12 GB gonna take me an extremely long while where I live, but fuck it, I am gonna grab whatever my chubby hand can get if they're offering it for free.

This means however, that I will be playing DD: DA from the very beginning again... which means I am gonna be so low on Rift Crystals... can any of the VitaPals in here help me in that regards by playing with my pawn by the time I start playing it, please ;__________; (also, gimme all of your powerful pawns please, hahaha)

I just started last night too. Planning to do as much dps as fast as possible, so Fighter, Assassin and Warrior are the vocations I'm currently looking at. I kinda bummed out its only one save for your character. Wanted to try a strider, ranger and assassin vocation too.

Hey, let's do an exchange. I'll carry your pawn and you'll carry mine, how about it? That way we both can accumulate Rift Crystals.

Although I have to wait for the download to be finished first... and it's gonna take a very long while where I live..... *sigh*

I don't see Gravity Rush on there. If you haven't played that, do so. Doubly so for Stardust Delta.

Might also want to check out Sonic Racing, Quell Memento (Both have demos available) Earth Defense Force and Muramasa and even though I'm not yet done with it, I'm having a great time with Batman Blackgate. Beyond that... how do you feel about one on one fighters? Lot of great fighters on Vita. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is good also.

Is that the bit with lasers that you have to weave through as they move and overlap?
I tried to get through unscathed an embarrassing amount of times before i realized you could shoot out the laser emplacements to clear a path.

some ideas:

Metal Gear HD Collecion
Gravity Rush
Sonic Racing Transformed
Hot Shots Golf
Walking Dead
mutant blobs attack
dokuro
Dragons crown
ninja gaiden
mortal kombat
new little kings story
silent hill: book of memories
wipeout

If you really think so, I'd be curious to read why.
Send me a PM sometime with it, if you like, I'll definitely read it. I'm working my way through to the platinum, it seems, so I should be there, sometime, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I like dragon's dogma, but for some reason, the game seems blurry as fuck for me. It strains my eye to play.

I think it's critical too, for the record. Can't say why because of the same reasons.

Played a little bit more if Castlestorm and it was fun. After the introduction levels I would say it's not a must have but a solid game and the price of €9.99 is well picked. I would have probably be disappointed if this had been more expensive.

Unfortunately, Zen Studios is just another developer, who isn't using the Vita's input capabilities. Why don't they allow the camera to be controlled with touch and pinch to zoom? I believe it would be faster and more precise than with the right analog stick. From what I have gathered, even the castle editor doesn't allow for touch controls.
I know some people hate touch gimmicks but making it optional and giving the player a choice doesn't hurt anybody.

It is also the first time my thumb hurts from playing with the left analog stick because the aiming is a little bit difficult using the small stick. It doesn't help that the game stops to display your trajectory when a weapon has a cooldown, a small detail that annoys me.

The presentation is ok so far. Sadly there is no voice acting but considering the budget that's fine.

I am curious how the rest of game is as I still haven't really played around with the castle building and destroying.

All this 999 talk makes me feel bad that I only unlocked one ending in the game before I started playing VLR. There were already some cool 'oh I remember that' moments with my limited knowledge.
I would have kept playing it if the puzzles were skipable and there would be a story tree like in VLR. Without it, it is just a drag and I don't like replaying games. Sucks because from what I have played, nearly everything from 999 was better than in VLR, especially the characters and the not so futuristic setting.

I really have to get back finishing VLR. Got stuck on an secret file puzzle and I really want to get everything :/

First thing that comes to mind is a generic LAN issue, like say if network isolation is toggled on on the router.
Is it just the Vita? Can you connect with that PC from other devices, like file sharing with it or network printing?

Yeah, it's just my Vita. Everything else is fine.

How about some Muramasa and Soul Sacrifice? Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles for PSP is really good also.

Underlined games are games I checked out but forgot to add. I knew there were bound to be some, but damn, did not think there were that many.

I think I may check out Sonic and Dragons Crown from that list. Thanks.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

I mistakenly left Gravity Rush off the list of games I played, but never finished as they lost me. I really wanted to like it, but it is literally the first game ever that made me experience motion sickness in a game. It was in fact bizarre. Perhaps I will revisit it, but if it made me feel that way on solid ground, not sure I would feel any better while in the air.

Also I no doubt have Super Stardust Delta. Not sure how I forgot that one as it is one of my personal favorites. Solid recommendation for anyone.

I did a bit of reading after I posted, found some lists, and I believe I am going to go with Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for sure. Seems like a great deal since it includes the original and Symphony of the Night, the latter I played awhile back, but I never played Rondo of Blood, and I do enjoy me so classic Castlevania.

And I feel obligated to check out Muramasa as well.

Thanks again for the suggestions. They are exactly what I was hoping for and between those few news games, and the other games I have yet to finish, I think I can occupy my nearly 40+ hours of flight time. I do hope to get some sleep in a few of those.

You should play PS1 and PSP games over native Vita ones for better battery life.

That's hot!

Welp, picked up Super Stardust Delta... fun and challenging game. I suck at it but not fr

Yeah, Dracula X Chronicles is loads of fun simply because SotN is included. There's a typhoon here alright. I'll just PM you if it gets worse so you can cancel the trip.
