Melee design is good but the way they did that in Project M (lol) is terrible.
You know why Melee design works? Because it's still cartoonish.
If you're going for realistic fur detail, might as well use the Adventures or Assault model.
That ain't Melee Fox. Melee Fox doesn't look dabbled with realistic textures.

New Samus has a sleek, imposing design. Brawl Samus just looks bulky and awkward. It was the one Brawl design I never really liked.

Fine, it's Project M Fox, which is basically Melee Fox if he had cleaner textures. It's barely even a distinction worth noting.
It's not like Fox has even looked like a fox since the puppet promotional art for the first one anyway.
Melee Fox doesn't have those awful boots, so he automatically wins.

Yep. They're adding a ton of alt costumes to Project M, this is one of them. Other ones were posted a few pages ago which included Mr. L, Shadow Queen, Armored Mewtwo, etc

I do not like sleek samus at all, I much prefer the "wearing a bulky weapon of mass destruction" look, sleek just doesn't look imposing if you ask me.
And that Other M arm cannon, disgusting.
I've never used Dolphin so I'm pretty ignorant, but was that Dolphin shot taken with the Wii native settings, or does any sort of downsampling/resizing get done?
Then again, for all I know, Sakurai's shots could also be downsampled, so maybe it's a good comparison. =P

Playing 2.6 Project M. Wow, this plays so much better. I won't ever go back to normal Brawl ever again. Bravo guys.

I prefer Brawl Fox to Melee Fox.
When I saw the Command design I thought he looked wack, but Brawl managed to fix it and make it acceptable.

Project M still doesn't run on PAL-Wiis, does it? I desperately want to play it :/
I started playing Project M and enjoyed it, but then I found Brawl- Max and I'm just enjoying the cuhrayzee thing they're doing with it more.
Will probably revert back to P:M when they add the new characters.
You can play it on a pal wii by using homebrew and USB loader to run an NTSC iso of brawl, that's what I do.

It's PAL discs. I have an NTSC disc for my Project Ming on my PAL wii. It's pretty damn amazing.

The "cleaner" textures PM did makes Fox look terrible, like some sort of geriatric dog.
I'd rather Sakurai used the Adventures look but apparently Japan hates the realistic, non-cartoonish style of Fox in Assault and Adventures.

Why do people keep forgetting about trophies and stickers?
The partner system works when the character is either the same character or closely related. Like NaNa and PoPo or Samus, and Samus.
Those are two different people. I rather just the one. Unless its a weird moveset that allows people to summon other characters like a army in fire emblem
If it were really emulating the Pair-Up system, it probably wouldn't work like Ice Climbers anyway. It'd be more like Zelda/Shiek, except the other character follows you around. If they get separated from you (greater than a certain distance) or get KO'd, your OWN attacks will be less powerful. Then Down-B or something would swap the two characters, letting you take control of the other one.
