Possibly yes. The only pokémon I think he'd have for sure if that's the case is Zoroark definitely. Not sure on the other two if he was the same as Brawl Pokémon Trainer.

But agreed. I mean, people not knowing Rocket Raccoon, alright, but Dr. Strange? I mean c'mon. :S
Not knowing isn't my issue, my issue is when they assert that that one guy from that cartoon is a more valid character than whoever, with no real context of the rest of marvel dc or whoever.
I have no Idea what actually goes on in the Tales series, I have played a couple and I I liked one of those characters but that does not give me domain to suggest that that one character should be in a .. is it Namco? In a Namco fighter above all else because I played his game once. I have no idea what the hell else has gone on in that series since its I left it. I would be talking out of my butt at that point

Ive wanted a wii U(and 3DS) since launch because I just like alot of games, multiplat, exclusive, indie, retail, whatever, I also kinda have a vendetta against people who "only buy nintendo systems for nintendo games" and repeat it over and over.
What's wrong with that? Buying Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games has been that way since the NES. SNES did have great third party support, but it was Mario, Zelda, Metroid and DKC is what people go crazy for the system.

Thats fine, completely fine, but the people who say that generally ignore anything else on the system thats not 1st party, which kinda puts nintendo in a catch 22, people say they want 3rd party, but then they never buy the 3rd party and just nintendo's games, and then we end up with the situation wii U's in

Pikmin 3? Pikmin 3 is a real game. A real good game too.
Also the definitive version of Rayman Legends. And Nintendo Land is really good if you have local friends to play with.
Speaking of Nintendo Land, Monita would be a great character even if she will never get in. She could take advantage of various aspects of the attractions to fight, such as using a bow or tossing ninja stars!

tbh, I don't really care for any of those. I also own NSMBU and NSMBL but still none of these games make me feel like "I must own this system to play these". 3D World is the only game so far where I feel like I'm getting something worthwhile personally.
What about TW101 or Pikmin for the second one? You can be my test subject before I get a Wii U whenever.

I think I'm happy, this is the most recognition I've ever got 
I just used iconic as a word stronger than unique, me no English. Maybe timeless would've been a better word since it does not imply that he is a popular character?
Note that I never used the word icon. I just compared a few designs.

Ike will be back. There's no reason to cut him - he has a fan following, a unique moveset that couldn't really be transferred over to anyone else, and remains a popular character within his own franchise - see the final Spotmass map in Awakening.
Roy being cut one time under very different circumstances doesn't mean that Fire Emblem is somehow limited to two characters.
Game & Watch has really been packing on the pounds lately.

I hate to seen any decent character be cut for the sake of keeping everyone happy, but personally there's more than enough sword users in the game as it is. Would be nice if someone else from Fire Emblem that perhaps wasn't a Lord got a shot. I wouldn't mind seeing Tharja.
