Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

If I loved both EDFs on 360 should I get EDF on vita?
The Vita game is a port of EDF 2017 from the Xbox though. It has a bunch of new content, like the jetpack equipped Pale Wing, several hundred new weapons, and 7 new missions, but in the end it is still the same base game.

So VitaGAF, every year we hold a NeoGAF's Game of the year voting thread.

What say to a Vita 2013 GotY voting thread/poll dedicated mainly to the Vita?

EDIT: Or how about such a voting goes alongside the main voting thread? Like one can make a vote list for their overall goty, and other lists for their goty per system.

Holy shit, P4G sure is playing with my heart.

I was truly shocked when
Nanako-chan dies... I thought I've reached the bad ending or something. I had to force myself and not through that asshole in the TV and I almost cry when the doctor says he has return to life T.T

Man, it would have been too sad if it was true :( I almost switched off my Vita... or threw it to the floor lol

We could make a special poll for January 2014. Put the "Game of the Year", "Best PS+ game of the year" and 3 or 4 more categories. It would be cool IMO

The bad ending has its own animated cutscene. Reload the save and toss the dude inside the TV!

Both my candidates will never win coz noone will have played them. :(

GE2 and Senran Kagura

Persona 4 got released in 2013 in EU so it's Vita GOTY two years in a row ;)

I... won't have a problem with that outcome.

Yeah, I supposed so. It wasn`t as evident as P3
"will you let the world come to its end?" question
, but still quite obvious. I don't know if my heart will be able to withstand the bad ending though

Did anybody bite on the castlestorm? Do the upgrades keep the game fun? Just tried the demo and still on the fence

skyzard has it and plowed through in a few days because he was so addicted.

if you're feeling the demo, then youll prolly enjoy the whole game.

I enjoyed the demo, but can't buy the game yet.

If I recall Skyzard said the latter have of the game gets a bit more difficult.

Sounds fun. Count my vote for Soul Sacrifice.

thats what i thought - i couldnt remember. howd it work out ( i didn't participate)?

Worked out OK -- VanWinkle even got in on it without being secret as he just up and gifted me Wild Arms -- so he received a code for something back after that. :)

I think Toma was the key figure there who moved everything along, so not sure if it will happen this year again or not.

Did that only work with US accounts or EU GS too?

Since when does the EU version of Proteus have an PS+ discount additional to the two weeks discount? I bought it at launch without one and I am sure I have waited for the regular store update and didn't use the search were stuff like this isn't up sometimes.
I just lost 1 buck over this so it's not much of a Laughing Banana drama but Sony really has to sort this stuff out because people will get pissed, especially fans who are willing to buy stuff on day 1.

EU PSN tends to be known to mess stuff up at times.
Incidently enough, Stick it to the man was 6.50 Pounds until Wednesday I believe, but it's now 8 Pounds.
They never mentioned anything about this at all in the blog or anywhere else.

For me this game is how Monster Hunter should have been. It ressembles his handheld brother, but it has an actual story, a proper class system and the combat doesn't feel clunky.
Hey friend, it's not clunky, just fine-tuned. DD was one of the best games of last year though. Was really hoping Deep Down would be a direct sequel but it wasn't :/

GE2 and Senran Kagura
But half of those aren't even out yet!

Just updated to the new firmware yesterday. KABOOM those anti aliased bubbles are the fucking best, I have been waiting for that since the dawn of time.

Thank you Sony

I'm saying Dragon's Dogma is almost perfect control wise (for me). The one that is clunky is Monster Hunter. At least for me. You can like it, but in my opinion every single hunting game out there works better xD

Edit: Or are you actually talking about MH in that answer? xD

Who won 2012 GOTY?

Well they improved something with the latest update, I see no jaggies and I did two weeks ago....

Edit: guys I think I'm just getting old and losing my mind here, sorry

To be fair, by staring at bubbles I've noticed something is different from previous firmware.
I've heard some people say that Sony changed colors or something, but I'm not so sure about that..

So I jumped on the $160 Vita deal that was around here recently. Never had a PSP so I guess I'll have some catching up to do. What are the best PSP games (besides Peace Walker)? Also, is the PSP Castlevania game that also contained Symphony of the Night good? I've been wanting to check that out.

Also, I'm having issues waiting for Black Friday to buy memory cards. Should I wait (current plan is to buy two 8GB cards for $10 each at GameStop), or just spring for a 16GB card for ~$34 on Amazon (I have a student Prime account). After a $99 3TB hard drive deal I found on Newegg, and now this Vita deal, if I bought a 16GB on Amazon, I wouldn't have that much money left. I'm not worried about games though (I have PS Plus, accidentally auto renewed it) just storage space. My final plans are to get a 32GB or maybe even a 64GB card when they inevitably drop price.

Those are the ones that come to mind atm.

Yes, it's pretty good. Though is it available on PSN? I don't remember seeing it in the Europen PS Store.

I'd reckon it will get highly annoying switching memory cards all the time, so I'd suggest just getting the 16GB memory card.

I think Muramasa will have my vote, loved every minute of it and has kickstarted another bout of Samurai movie viewing at the moment.

Yeah Dracula X Chronicles is good, it has the OG Rondo of Blood that's unlockable.

Other PSP games worth looking into are Gurumin and Tokobot.

I don't know what to do with AT2, places I can't go to for some reasons, everything in Japanese..ect any online guide to help me know what I'm doing.

game look nice, I think it's the best looking game from Acquire to date.

but yeah... i don't know what I'm doing.

i'd suggest going for the 16 - or waiting to see if there are BF vita card deals...swapping between mem cards defeats the purpose, in my opinion, of having a digital library.

also welcome! it's going to be your best investment of the year.

Or buying my 32 for $55 shipped. :P

Is Cloudberry Kingdom Vita still happening?

Supposedly, like Bit.Trip.Runner 2, Luftrausers, Terraria and other such games.

Wow - that thread discussing ass creed 4 remote play impressions sounds so promising. The fact that a studio can implement remote play in their game within a few days is super encouraging to hear, as well as how smooth the quality is.

Really expecting the vita/vitaTV to catch on with the quality of remote play... At least among gamers.

505 issued a press release for the console version of Terrarria receiving the 1.2 update late last week. They talked about how it's on iOS, Android and a pending launch on Windows 8 Mobile (lol) with no mention of the Vita version.
