Flower is out on Vita

It's mentioned in the Vita thread, but it wasn't on the blog post and isn't under new releases on the Vita store. Search for it however and you can find it. It's cross-buy, so if you already have the PS3 version you're good to go.

Took some screenshots. It's not native res, but still looks good. Solid 30 FPS. No physical controls unfortunately. Only motion and touch screen/touch pad.

Just the day when I can't get off of work. I wouldn't be so quick to say it's not native res. Flower uses a lens distortion shader that makes the game lower resolution towards the middle of the screen, but higher towards the edges (you can even see this on the 3rd screen). The back buffer from which the final image is created could be at, or higher than native res.

Nice, I already own this on PS3 so I'll be grabbing it later on. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm really disappointed that its not native. I expected more since it was coming from Bluepoint who did great with the PSASBR port. Seems like the kind of game that you want the best visual experience possible to fully enjoy. Here's hoping this leads to Journey on Vita though.

Because it would be more convenient when riding the subway for example. Not really an issue for the PS3.

Tilting the unit slightly is inconvenient? I'd say the tilt controls were a pretty big part of the game. Wouldn't be the same if it was controlled with sticks.

Definitely not native. It has a high res than most non-native games though. For example I'm pretty sure it's higher than Uncharted or Gravity Rush. Looks to have the same resolution that LBP had, just barely below native.

They added touch screen controls though. Why not sticks.

Does it have as much AA as LBP though?

I agree with this. I would imagine the tilt controls are better in the Vita as well. Not that I had much of an issue with them on DS3.

BAH. I bought the game for PS3, but not on my primary account. So I can't download this :(

Stupid Vita and its lack of multiple account support.

Absolutely beautiful game, I'll gladly play it again on Vita.

But to be perfectly content, I require Journey as well - ideally in conjunction with a PS4 version, and, of course, all three should be able to interact in multiplayer.

Damn, I got all excited about downloading it, but apparently this was a game I got through the old share account I used to do with a few friends.
Oh well, I did enjoy the game, but not quite enough to repurchase it. Especially since I do believe the bigger screen of the TV is the way to play it if one had to choose.
Thanks for the heads up though!

It'll work with PS4 as well if that changes your mind.
