;__;

Someone download it and explain how the brave/default system actually enhances gameplay. I mean, why not just attack twice instead of skipping a turn?

The way I see it what if you have 1hp, enemy has 3hp, you saved up your hits so you can kill enemy with 3x 1dmg before it hits you with 1dmg.

1) speed up trash mob fights

2) add some depth to boss fights. Your healers can Default to double up on healing, you could charge 3 BPs then run buffs that last 2 "turns" to do 4x buffed attacks twice in a row, monsters Brave and Default as well meaning there's some pattern reading to the fights as well.

How many blocks do digital games take? I might just get the boxed version from GameUK.

ed: Sorry, I'm so dumb. I read the title wrong.

Hmmm... I bought that Cura scroll and I learned the spell, but I can't use it as a white mage. Do I need to equip it?

Btw, that white mage costume is cute <3

I regret going into a dungeon.

I like the job system, and the music is amazing. Not bad so far.

Sounds like the same thing I did. The Cura spell is level 3, you start off with white magic level 1 so you can't use it until you level up your job more I think.

I am just trying to get to grip with the JRPG mechanic, I feel the demo is overwhelming me with everything and isn't doing a good job explaining it. :(

Still enjoying the demo and I still plan to buy the game.

Honestly I felt it with the 101 demo and all, but demos really need a better way to expalin mehcanics.

The best way to demo a JRPG is something like how Atlus did the EO IV demo. Just start at the beginning and let the people do the first few areas and carry over progress. That way you teach them the mechanics as if they were brand new to the game and it rewards people who upgrade to the full game by keeping their save file if they want.

You can also go nutso and have one base line demo like that and one sidequest demo to show off how cool the game is later on.

WTF, I can only ever play this demo 30 times only? What kind of BS is this? FUck it gonna go force my idiotic brother to play this.

damn I thought each item would have its own skin, not a job as a whole. wanted some DQ IX level of customization.

game is pretty good anyway, could see me spending a lot of time with it.

You're waiting almost an entire year before starting the demo? That's hardcore.
:P

thats at least how long it will take me to work through my 3ds backlog.

why the fuck did I write september Oo I should probably pay more attention while typing..

That world map music!

Enjoyed the battle system so far with the brief time i've spent trying it out. Looking forward to exploring the jobs later.

Hahaha, it happens to the best of us.

Menu music should be censored. It's too fucking mesmerizing. I just stared (see?) at the screen for half an hour without actually doing anything, just listening to the music. WTH

GOSH

I feel like a 6 year old. Been waiting for this game ever since the first screenshot (well basically since FFVI). Downloading now!

So it is kind of like Chrono Cross? Or did I completely fail to understand...
Not played Cross unfortunately so not sure.
Nice, just downloading it. Really need to get myself a new Memory Card, 4GB just isn't enough, lol.
Don't download the full game lol apparently about 4GB
just downloaded it but I am not going to play it at least until september 4th...
I couldn't take the deprivation...
Should play it to activate Streetpass, they can be moved to main game so might as well.
How far in the game is the demo? I don't want to be spoiled by some half-way through the game demo.
This demo is no where in the main game so play it and you won't really get spoiled as well =D

That happent to me the 1st time I played Xenoblade....dat "Press Start" music...

Man, I am really enjoying this job system so far. Though I made the same mistake as others and bought the BLM3 spells before the BLM1 spells - leaving me feeling really quite stupid.

Still trying to get used to learning when to use Brave and when to use Default - I seem to be developing a bad habit of ending up with negative values more often than not. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though.

I do wonder how much playtime is needed before you unlock all 7 bonus packs! Up to the third quest/lvl 5, and still only unlocked the first set.

So how is the game?

I feel the demo isn't a good way to judge. They make it clear that the quests given in the demo aren't the same as the ones in the final game.

The demo starts really slow, but picks up once you start figuring things out and head into dungeons.

The job system and music are fantastic. I've just beaten the first boss of sorts and I'm starting to like the combat system as well, although I'm still not entirely sure I understand how to use it fully.

I've been waiting for this moment for all my life the last two years.

Honestly really looking forward to this. I want this to take me back to PS1 era RPGs.

*Begins demo*

Oh this is just the nicest demo ever, so generous too. Exactly what I was looking for after disappointingly spunking all my money away on a copy of Pokémon Y that has sat untouched after five hours of very bored playtime.

Between this and Zelda ALBW, 3DS is going to be in my hands a lot between next week and Christmas

do I have to actively play the game until a certain point or can I just start the software and be done with it?
No need to play the story, just watch the literal first into section and it'll tell you how to rebuild Norende via Streetpass, turn it on and your done, although I will say go find the save option guy in the town to save else you'll have to rewatch the, skippable, intro scene.

Also to deconfirm what I said earlier regualr attack do take bravely points
