Well... I wouldnt say that.
The OT had apparently the exact same problem. Than a random guy, streaming, have his console bricked. Also...I read here that Polygon's PS4 also get a problem during streamming (still dont know if the same).

If thats true, and in fact it seems legit, I believe that this could be a serious problem. Those PS4s broked at day 1. There are much more out there, but we dont know about everyone... and not all of them will have problem at the same day.

If its legit how it seems to be... its serious. Probably a big failure rate.

And no... im not a hater. I bought my PS4 already at my country and probably with no coming back (not without headache), and I do not pre-ordered any Xbox One.

But this is serious.

People said polygons ps4 is fine. So when xbox launches and 5 xboxes fail are you going say the same thing, that there is a serious problem?

The internet is one helluva thing these days. Back when the ps3 launched I'm sure people encountered similar problems and hardly anyone would know about it. Now there was nearly 5,000 people watching it happen live.

No different from any PC ever.

And the same reason you always get prompts in games that say when you see the saving icon, don't turn off your system. If you power down while it's mid-write, you can get data corruption.

He said he finished the update, he was downloading DCU Online, and unplugged his system while it was "downloading".

Why he unplugged his system, who knows. But you're never supposed to just yank the power out while your console is on, regardless of it downloading anything or not.

I think the bigger issue would be if this is truly from loading power what happens if you have a power outage?

Poor guy, I actually feel sorry for him.

He was clearly nervous and his hands were shaking, he probably didn't even "got it" that he gave personal information to a lot of people. Getting a PS4 Day one and having such issues like that is sad, hoping for the best for everyone else no matter if they are in NA or Europe. I hope I can get mine on November 29th but I don't want NA to beta test it, I want NA to have great fun and post their impressions, pick-ups and so on. Despite all this, great times are coming indeed and I can only wish the very best to us all. Can't wait!

Agreed. I really hope the issue will be minimal. I would like others to be able to enjoy their new console.
