This item is now in the carrier's hand, so if the local UPS office in your area are open tomorrow...there is chance they will deliver it to you tomorrow since they missed today. If not then it will be the next business day

Blerghh. 8:18 no sign of my launch edition that shipped on Wednesday and 0 status updates from UPS since it "left Amazon".
 
Has anyone whose order was from Chattanooga where theirs said 'label has been created blah blah blah' actually received theirs? That is the status of mine, I chatted with them again and after quite a while she said they still expect it to show up tonight. My brother in law a mile away is in the exact same situation. It's now after 8 and I'm about to chat them up again.

I am on hold being escalated to a supervisor right now with that exact problem: "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status will be updated." I'm out of Orlando, so not the same area but similar issue.

I got a UPS email at like 6am today saying they never got the package and that I would not receive my delivery today. They knew way before Amazon was willing to offer that information apparently. I spoke to someone about it when I woke up and they told me that it would be here today, and when I asked for tracking information the CSR said "The order is shipped and it will delivered to you in anytime today, so please don't worry, just wait for your order to received." Needless to say it didn't arrive.

The CSR i was on the phone with earlier kept saying "my supervisor says it will be there tomorrow". I kept asking for proof or tracking information and she had none. UPS still says they have never received the package. I told her to put her supervisor on after a few pointless back and forths trying to get more information and now I'm hold. I have a hard time believing UPS is going to Saturday deliver a make-believe package.

I'll let you know how this ends up if it helps.
 
Tomorrow is Sat so there is no business delivery amiright? When they say 8PM afaik they mean it's for residential ???

I'm over in titusville. the ps4 is coming FROM chattanooga. were in the same boat I think. Amazon hates FL confirmed!

mine just arrived in Berkeley/Oakland. I left a note on my door to leave it out front in case I cant get the door. I was home all day, by the door. I just went outside to check, and there it was on the porch. He didn't knock or ring the bell. Not cool, but at least it is here. Hope it works.
 
Amazon and UPS fucked me even though its been out for delivery all day. Feel so great about putting in that June 10th order. Load of bullshit, never buying launch items from this farce again

Now they tell me to wait until Tuesday, and both Customer service reps just give me cliche run around answers. Way to ruin my weekend, now I just need it to arrive as a brick

UPS customer service blows. They lied to me, trying to say my delivery was never scheduled for today. Once I copy and pasted emails from THEM stating otherwise, they proceeded to try and blame Amazon.

In tampa and mine is in some mystical land where neither ups or amazon can actually tell me where it is. All I know it is arriving Tuesday.
 
no delivery yet from UPS.

it's out for delivery, but hasn't been delivered. i hate ups. mainly because they're so sketchy with their delivery times. when my gf orders shit, it's delivered in the afternoon...when i order stuff, it always arrives at the very end of the drivers shift. i think they get lost on the location because it's a condo and save it for the final delivery.

i want my ps4!! i don't want to drive to oakland at night and wait at their hub to pick up :(

They flat out told me that it couldn't be done. I believe it would take someone actually getting on the phone with UPS and making it happen, but I don't believe that it "can't" be done.

I was just told by the supervisor that I can call the carrier tomorrow and find out if they can get it to me tomorrow or monday.

Welll....

It's not coming tonight. That much is for sure. What she said was that with this item they scan it and then take it to a local carrier in the FL area. There is a scan when it leaves the warehouse, and a scan when it arrives, and nothing in between. That honestly sounds like bullshit, we've seen plenty of these that hit various scans and "out for delivery" notifications as they go down the chain.

I have to take their word for it though, because they had no further way to prove it to me that this was the case. When I pressed the issue a little further and asked for some reassurance, they said they would start an "investigation" into the shipping from the warehouse to try to get as much information as they could and email me the results. I thanked her for that.

She went on to say that she definitely sees it left the warehouse at the time the label was scanned. She said that it would be delivered on Saturday, and that UPS has a deal with Amazon that packages in this case will get Saturday delivery. I hope that part helps the rest of you guys and gives you some hope.

As for compensation, she gave me $20 credit. I pushed the angle that I only signed up for Prime specifically for this package and she said that if the shipment was not here this weekend she would also refund me the cost of my Prime subscription. I'd love free games and whatnot too, but realistically this was OK. I'd much rather just have the system tomorrow morning.

All in all, I'm disappointed but I thought they handled this on the customer service side about as well as they could have. There might be some real issues with how they ship things and how they pass information along, but I understand it probably wasn't a real fun day for anyone along the supply chain today.

Here's hoping for tomorrow.

So, my PS4 is slated for Monday (Canada problems), but I have a question. Clearly, my PS4 is in the next city, "Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit - November 15, 2013 11:48:41"

Um...can I just run down and pick it up? They wont do shit on weekends, and I want to play nowwwww :(

How can I get in contact?

Well, sure, but if you call they're going to want to charge you instead of Amazon.

I guess I can try that. I could complain and get that charge comped if they'll actually do it.

I'm hoping to get a similar update at some point tonight. I know it's not coming today, and I'm doubtful for tomorrow. The last Amazon rep I spoke to said it's expected by the 19th. Thankfully, I took the 15th through 18th off so I can sit around all weekend waiting!
 
Amazon rep I spoke with called UPS, and they told him they were still delivering today. It's almost 9pm, I think UPS is full of shit. I'm probably just going to drive to the depot tomorrow, I can practically walk there, this is fucking ridiculous.

So yea, I think I can speak for more than myself when I say go piss up a rope Amazon. Ordered June 10th 5 minutes after it was available, totally could have got one last night at WalMart. I know its a minor thing but I was really looking forward to this and this weekend and this basically screws me out of playing until next friday, I'm so bummed right now. Oh I get a free month of prime woo fuckin hoo!

Sorry to hear that. Here is the follow email Amazon sent me earlier. I might be in the same boat as you and probably won't get mine until Monday. BTW, UPS does deliver on Saturdays.

In southern CA, if I enter the tracking number on the UPS website it still says "Out For Delivery" but on Amazon there's another update after the out for delivery one that says "Package arrived at carrier facility".

Amazon fucked up bad. Real bad. I don't think anybody in Florida who ordered on Amazon actually got the system.

CR Rep bumped up the $20 appeasement to about a $100 appeasement offer. I took it because I'm willing to be bought off for $100. But I'm still livid.

As somebody who has been a Prime member for 5 years, I'm canceling. Also returning this Kindle I just bought, absolutely done with Amazon after this bullshit.
 
So yeah, it's past 8PM with no sign of it so I hit amazon chat again. Apparently UPS finally scanned a package for me at a center in Jacksonville Florida so I should get it tomorrow. Amazon rep assured this Saturday delivery too.

But yeah, can't think of a time I was angrier at a amazon rep, apparently she noticed cause she very quickly gave me twenty dollar promotional credit, and when I didn't even make mention of it she gave me a fifty dollar refund on my order. At no point did I ask to be compensated, I just kept assertively asking how both Amazon and UPS could just shrug at the fact that they had no idea where my four hundred dollar purchase was.

But I apologized to Shikha for my anger, and thanked her for being the first rep today to actually try to help me out besides going "just wait." Even if she, understandably couldn't address the wound and just tried her best at give me band-aids.

Left a note for Amazon when they ask you about the customer service experience. Straight up told them that they botched this launch, and that I'll never take their "release-date delivery" as straight as I did prior to this. If this happens to my Xbox One order next week...oh no.

Just got off with UPS and they said that the package couldn't be re-routed for Saturday Delivery because it's already en route to somewhere else. The tracking info doesn't reflect that, but there's not much I can do.

Amazon should have realized that some launch day PS4's weren't going to make it and made sure that they got switched to Saturday delivery. I guess they decided to sell kindle fire/PS4 bundles instead and make us wait.

Did you say you're scheduled to get yours on Monday? I don't know why mine wouldn't be on whatever truck/train shipment yours is on, since we are in the same area. Mine is scheduled for Tuesday, so I'd wonder if you'll really get yours on Monday either.

My PS4 is in Tokyo, according to DHL. Probably will be delivered today. :D

Amazon keeping me close to home during times like these.

Pisses me off to no extent that Amazon has a million square foot fulfillment center 30 minutes away from my house and somehow a PS4 traveled across the globe faster.

I got mine today but did a Hold for Will Call.
Strange thing though was when status got updated, it was in Chattanooga. Then 6 hours later, it showed up in Knoxville. Then at 4am this morning it shipped from Knoxville to back to Chattanooga and made it back to Chattanooga by 6:45am and already had a will call on it. Went to UPS on Founders way and they had it ready for me by 9:00am.



Same thing happened to my friend with his PS4 also on the Chatt to Knox back to Chatt thing.

Edit: To clarify more, I actually live in Chattanooga but just strange on why it went back and forth.
 
ORLANDO UPDATE:

Just got off the phone with my second supervisor of the night, after the update switched to 11/18 Monday. Complained that I had just been told not 10 minutes ago prior from a different supervisor that it would be delivered for sure on Saturday. She said she could see what she could do calling UPS and that it's possible Saturday, but the only thing she could guarantee was Monday.

She then tried to give me a free month of Prime and I told her to save it. I said if she really wanted to make a happy customer that she would go call the carrier and make sure it got here Saturday. She took down my cell phone number, and said she would "give it her all" and call me back. So... we'll see how that goes.

e: From getting caught up in this thread, it seems like that's going to be pretty unlikely. Sigh.
 
I also find it funny that a monitor I ordered on Monday which is shipped from Korea is going to be here on Monday. Korea to FL faster than TN to FL!

Nothing really. I expressed my frustration and disappointment and the first rep I spoke with in chat support had the nerve to close the chat as soon as she could without actually helping me out at all.

Left her incredibly poor feedback, and a new Amazon rep called me on the phone to assist me. Dude was polite, knew what the issue was unlike the first rep and offered to help me out. At least somebody from Amazon cared a bit.

Haha it says Monday. If it doesn't show... I will totally just drop amazon. Fuck their shit if they keep pulling this.

Fuck if they told me that their workers were just tired at the end of the day and like they couldn't get to my order I would be A OKAY... but they're all like it's an error on our end. What's the error? Im the customer. It's my item I should be able to know why!
