Was reading the trouble shooting thread.

Rumor is from that H1llzones guy from the other night Amazon and Taco Bell have bad PS4s...

Maybe the error is that they had bad PS4s and our PS4s for Monday delivery are good ones?

Got my console from amazon, and I've been playing for over 10 hours. No issues. I'm kinda putting the console to the test.
 
It's just a reality of buying consoles through shipping, they will always take a few more hits than ones shipped straight to stores in pallets. I mean, some people at UPS literally throw boxes around and stuff, they don't care about the contents. I wouldn't stress too much about it. Amazon always is great to work with on returns at least, the only problem at this point of a launch is having the stock to be able to do so.
 
Mine arrived 15 mins after I left for that concert.

I'm really sorry to all those who have to wait. Amazon lost a ton of respect that I had for them with the way they handled this launch. I can say NEVER again will I order a big ticket item from them. It's Gamestop for the next launch. I got my PS3 there with no problems.
 
Assured by rep it'll arrive tomorrow via FedEx Saturday delivery, sitting in the Memphis hub. Fingers crossed, hopefully there's a flight to Chicago soon

Amazon just told me one of the reasons my order was delayed was because of a manufacturing error and defect that they are investigating. Apparently people were returning their consoles and there has been too many defects and errors that Sony has told them to hold their shipments which explains why so few "stragglers" have been delayed since Friday. I don't know if this is bullshit or not but this is what two supervisors just told me.

If I ever receive it. The horrible news is that some dumbass associate waived my shipping fee which put me at "the bottom of the list" so I basically get a PS4 whenever another shipment comes in. Team never fucking using amazon again.
 
I got another e-mail from Amazon saying that there was nothing they could do to get me a PS4 today and issuing another $20 credit ($80 total) that I didn't ask for (not that I asked for the previous credits). My tweets to Amazon and other social media outreach went down a black hole as well, so I'm just not getting one until Tuesday.

Bummer.

my ps4 arrived around 5 pm, i work 3rd shift so was way past my normal "awake" time, took a 2 hour nap woke up at 7 and hooked it up after the louisville game. No issues hooking up, updating ect. About 5 hours in the system froze while trying to download a game from psn and I had to hard shutdown (holding power button until it boots off).

Waited an hour and turned it back on, booted into safe made, it checked the hard drive then rebooted fine into regular mode and is working fine

I would recommend you shop around locally, and if you find a PS4 locally, immediately begin the returns process for the PS4 from Amazon.

And make them cover the additional cost of tax (if Amazon doesn't charge tax in your area). I mean, don't tell them that is what they're doing, but don't stop until they've at least given you that much gift credit.

I was assured twice that I would receive mine yesterday. Amazon tracking says it's on route to UPS. UPS tracking says a label has been created and they are awaiting delivery of the package to their facility.

Where in Brooklyn are you? I live in Crown Heights, my system came from the PA as well, I didn't get it until 4:40 yesterday, the wait was driving me crazy yo lol
 
Ordered mine on June 11th for release date delivery. It shipped late and is now expected today for a Saturday delivery via Fedex. I called Amazon and asked for compensation. They originally offered me $10, but I told them I would be satisfied at $20. CS agent then applied a $20 credit to my account.

I then immediately spent the $20 on a PSN code to add to my online wallet.

Now I'm getting more concerned. It seems like all the other Orlando area people got a scan at Jacksonville last night and now you're seeing movement, mine STILL says a label has been created but ups is waiting to receive it.

My package is still in Jacksonville as of 9:30 this morning. Guess we're the unlucky ones.

Although I'd be kind of bothered if it came today after they said monday, theres nobody at my place right now and I'd be paranoid as hell that someone stole the package within the couple hours the UPS guy usually shows up and the time I get home from work.

Mine still doesn't even say Jacksonville. I'm starting to feel like it's gone missing since it seems that everyone else's got scanned when they hit Jacksonville.
 
My friend just told me that the FedEx aircraft carrier carring his ps4 had an accident and that he might have to file a value claim. He was suppose to receive his ps4 on launch day and didn't, so he called FedEx today to see what was up and that's what they told him. Anyone from newegg with launch delivery get there ps4. His was going to NY.

yesterdaty my UPS status page was stuck at Destination scan at the delivery facility. it never updated at all but they delivered mine.

just got to keep believing.

I'm in the same boat here. They have to get it out to Orlando at some point so they can deliver on Monday and I'm guessing that's just what happened. We probably won't see an update until then.

Either way, I changed to Will Pick Up status so maybe if they scan it in today I have a shot at it. Guess we'll see. I'd be surprised if they try to deliver it though, based on everything I've heard.
 
Still not shipped my June order yet... I think as long as they hit the estimated ship date, I'm ok with waiting. My worry is that they simply won't have any to ship, though.

I overnighted from Newegg but never received, someone here said there was an accident in LA with a chemical spill of some sort closings airports and highway, I checked this morning and its in transit again, called Newegg yesterday and they told me to file a shipping claim so that I can get a refund, what can you do, accidents happen.

Sweet i work in Bay Ridge myself. Got mines at the Gamestop on 86st. Working great so far.
 
Welp, I placed an order for another PS4 (let my coworker buy it from me at cost after much begging, but he owes me big) last night at 11:30pm EST.

It's already shipped, and arrives here on Tuesday.

Wait value claim? Are they saying the boxes got damaged? I am in the same boat as you with Newegg/FedEx.
 
Very disappointed by the way Amazon is handling this. The first customer service rep i spoke with, i explained to him that i pre-ordered exactly when Amazon starting taking in pre-orders and how people i know who live around me got their consoles in, and they pre-ordered after me. My status had said shipped already but nothing updated after left the facility my estimate was on the 15th by 8:00 pm i said. He then suggest to me "would i like to wait for Monday so it can be shipped" . I laughed right as he said that and told him "are you kidding me i would have had better chances camping out to obtain a console".

After that he had me on hold to see where my package was at and claimed there was a problem with the carrier and claimed it was going to get delivered Saturday (today). So i'm like alright but it made me wonder why did he ask me would i like to wait for Monday for it to be delivered. So i end up writing a email to them last night Friday and then i get a reply email today saying we will refund you the shipping charges and give you 20$ in amazon credit im like ok they responded but i still don't know where my package is at.

I end up calling yet again a few minutes ago the customer service rep was real friendly and told me there's been a problem with shipments and they would have to call me back to tell me exactly where the package was at since they have no tracking on it after it left their facility. She also stated it could come today but then said by Monday if anything and they are refunding me $150 regardless if the system showed up in 5 mins or not.

So still waiting and we will see how this goes but overall disappointed regardless of anything they could give me.

ha i figured just a great image. anyways who is in charge of their logistics. it is baffling. My missing camera went from 15th Delivery date confirmed by two CSAs. To a worst case scenario Saturday. Then it got sent UPS ground with a Tuesday delivery. When I asked why they said sorry again and I would have it today. Looking at tracking it went from NV last night to Oakland today (I live in Charleston SC, the other ocean). I really doubt thats making it. I am not that impatient it is just the shit they tell me that makes me pissed. If they just said whoops it slipped through we are sorry. I would have not been happy but I would understand.

I planned on staying at home all day yesterday to wait for the ups guy. I get a phone call at 10am asking me to come into work which is a good distance from home. I made the fatal mistake of going think I could be back before 6pm.

I'm F5'ing the tracking at work to see what ups usually does when I'm not home and that's take my packages to the rental office so I can get it later. They've done this the past 3 years since I've lived here for video games to $3 usb cords.

I start my long Friday afternoon I-95 traffic journey home where everyone drives 20 miles under the limit >_>. I get a text message saying my package was delivered. I'm thinking ok I'll just go to the rental office on my home.

I finally get there and it's no package for me. I go to apartment and it's no package there. I look on my patio and even the stairs..nothing. I check the UPS site and it says the dumb son of a bitch left it at my front door. WHAT THE FUCK.

It wasn't even 2 hours after it was delivered and it's not there. I contact amazon and they refuse to put in a claim to UPS until Tuesday. I call UPS to bitch about why it was left at my door when I wasn't home and they just tell me to contact amazon for a claim.

So i'm screwed out of $400.

I quit this shit.

That's the ultimate in bad luck. Is there no ups option to require a signature where you live?

Amazon's claim to UPS should cover it. Things getting stolen is part of doing business this way. I've never had this happen so I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but I'd consider filing a police report just in case they want to claim that it wasn't really stolen or something.
