I have pretty unrealistic desires for the roster that I know aren't happening. For me it's more about the sum of the overall roster rather than missing any individual character so as long as there is a decent number in terms of quality and quantity then I won't have much to be upset about.

Mystery dungeon games generally kind of suck, the only one I really enjoyed was Lufia 3 for the gbc

PMD: Explorers of Time and Darkness is probably one of the best stories in the franchise.

Capcom killing megaman off is terrible but everytime I go into a thread about something megaman related theres always someone trying to spin any cool things related to it in a negative limelight, and yes someone did think to say that the megaman x costume in Dead rising 3 was Capcom trolling as usual.
I hate that theres no new game as much as anyone but god damn some people need to put a lid on it with hyperbole statements

All the stages are great, but Smashville II is the least interesting since it looks identical to the Brawl version.
There's some odd variations in the platforms that aren't making it identical, though. It might end up playing differently.

throwaway account here! i heard some pretty big smash bros news through the grapevine..
-the game’s single player component is an adventure mode very similar to the one found in super smash bros melee
-you can create custom mii characters with different costumes, moves and taunts, and these miis can be saved to individual slots. you can trade miis between platforms and with friends, and you can upload, download and rate miis online. most of the mii parts, like new costumes and attacks, are unlockable.
-stage builder has been greatly expanded upon and has a similar online feature set to the miis
-nintendo will be producing packs of smash bros ar trading cards with original artwork, classic art, character bios, stage descriptions, item descriptions and so on. these cards can be scanned to unlock new mii parts, stage builder parts, music, trophies and other goodies.
-august 2014 is the target release date on both platforms
from what i hear, a little bit of the above is going to be shown off next month in a nintendo direct. so i suppose that’s the best proof i can give you all for now. ignore this post in the meantime if you like, but check back in a month to see how i did.

Regardless, it mostly sounds very safe and fairly uninformative. Not something to put much stock in. At the least if someone buys into it there isn't much to be disappointed by.
On the sight chance this rumor is legit, I wouldn't be surprised if there's was a way to unlock the stuff normally like in KI:U.
Expanded stage builder would be so awesome. I would't be surprised if Smash Bros. used AR Cards like Uprising. It was a great idea then.

lol, I'm no NOA marketer but I highly doubt the two versions will come out at the same time. Why bury the WiiU version.

I guess so, haven't touched Uprising in forever. I stopped playing when I finished the story and a little multiplayer.
The outlines are wrong, as Sakurai explained one day. It's not a black outline, but based on the color of the outer edges of the model. Plus they look all sorts of uneven. Pretty nice models, though.
They moved Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario and Mario Party to the 3DS, leaving the Wii U with pretty much nothing during the 2013 Spring/Summer besides 1 game every 2 months.
I'm pretty sure they'll launch the two Smashes at the same time.
I'd say a dragon that can use all 8 limbs with good reach and a myriad of projectiles is pretty crazy and new. It's not like fan requests and interesting characters are mutually exclusive.

I don't think anyone would take that bet since many of us were so sure that they would release Wii U first.
Nintendo tends to go on a media blitz early in the year to show off unannounced releases, so that doesn't mean much. Luigi's Mansion was in development for ages for 3DS by a 3rd party studio and never had any intention of a home console release, Paper Mario came out a year ago and there's nothing stopping them from continuing with a Wii U one, Mario Party flip flops between platforms all the time and that team just released Wii Party U, so there's another one in the pipeline soon for sure.
Ignoring all the evidence we've been given that they aren't going to share a launch, the games released and upcoming don't really force their hand.
