So, uh, what is this about, anyway? I saw the LN it's based on ranked fourth in this year's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi rankings, so it's got to be doing something right.

So, uh, what is this about, anyway? I saw the LN it's based on ranked fourth in this year's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi rankings, so it's got to be doing something right.

Without getting too detailed about it, it started mostly about dungeon exploring and this one's explorer's relationship with the god he made a pact with. The first few chapters were pretty great due to all that determination the main character have.

Now, they introduced more gods so there'll probably be some conflict between them and I guess the main character will get involved somehow.

It has promise and I really enjoyed all the dungeon exploring it was doing. Not so much this god conflicts but it is pretty early for me to judge on how good that'll be.

The conflict reminded me of the Alabasta arc in OP and there were even some similarities in the way it was resolved. I was expecting that the prince and princess hooking up would end the conflict but it seems like it will rather happen afterwards, ah well close enough lol

Finally getting to CP9 levels now. Hopefully Oda keeps this up at this pace. Doflamingo's crew is probably the best group of villains since CP9, and Doflamingo himself is just such a ruthless bastard. To top it off, it's probably the first arc villain since the CP9 arc that feels like he's more powerful than Luffy or any of the other Strawhats, aside from Akainu and Blackbeard which weren't really arc villains like the others were (as the arc wasn't centered around their evil plots). Hody and Ceasar Clown were chumps, but Doflamingo is the legit deal.

Going to space? Jesus! I like the new look of Terry, and Coco. Neo seems unstoppable with all these powerful characters. The guy who was with Midora, the creepy old guy, is with Neo as well. He is still creepy lol.

That situation won't last long in my opinion.

I sure hope so. The BB corn arc is one of my favorites because of Terry prominence in it.

I'm curious how Luffy saw what Doflamingo did? How the heck did all the Strawhats see Law go down? Was Doflamingo doing this in the middle of town, or somewhere that's easily open?

Doflamingo and Law landed right infront of the coliseum where zoro and luffy are, you can see the buildings were getting sliced up so they were probably fighting across town.

Nah, I like it. It's neither original nor deep but it's entertaining, the comparison with Soul Eater is really appropriate, not just regarding the art.

And I figured that with only 3 volumes to go, it would be difficult to introduce an new and most likely final arc and give it a satisfying conclusion.

I'm curious what the Gourmet Corp will do now that it looks like they aren't the main villains now. Hell, Midora was made way more sympathetic thanks to that flashback. Granted he caused a mini-apocalypse with the meteor spice so... that happened.
