I get the sense that 4chan is corrupting my friend's view of the Smash series. He was complaining to me about gimmick levels after the Galaxy stage was revealed. He played Brawl for years, and his favourite stage was Spear Pillar.

Sakurai already acknowledged the release of Super Mario 3D World with today's screenshot (as it released today in Japan) and A Link Between Worlds is not releasing tomorrow in Japan (December 26th, actually). Today was the anniversary of the Japanese releases of A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, so I would think if something was to coincide with the Western release of A Link Between Worlds it would have been today.

I predict goose egg tomorrow.
