Wouldn't be too surprised if they focused on what's already out for this holiday, since most people are willfully ignorant about Wii U's catalog.

Finally realised that Nintendo Directs aren't enough to generate interest outside the pre-existing fanbase then? That's good for them.

Just hope they'll be bringing something interesting to the table here rather than just the usual parade of mascots.

I was just watching that new GTTV episode and thinking to myself how neat it would be if they showed Zelda Wii U there.

You gotta figure they decided at the last minute not to show it at E3, so there's possibly a trailer already cut and waiting to go.

Don't think they'll wait till e3 to announce their next big title.
Hopefully we see the new zelda or big mario game.

VGX will be much fun.

17 pages of hype and gifs incoming... leading up to a 5min appearance on the show that will end up being a letdown.

My body is ready.

Well they're teasing the appearance of Reggie instead of a new game, so that kind of suggests it isn't to me.

VGX would be a good chance for Nintendo to gather interest in the audience that isn't lining up for Wii U right now. Wouldn't you agree that the best way to do this would be with a new game?

It depends on the game no?

I mean if they don't have something unannounced that fits the Spike audience, they might as well show something announced that does.

If I'm not completely wrong I remember someone from nintendo (maybe Aonuma) saying they could have shown something from Zelda Wii U at this years E3 but didn't, so it's possible they could have footage ready.

Who would they be targeting with Smash? They already have a fanbase that follows the game religiously. It's not like they're going to attract people who aren't into Nintendo franchises all of the sudden. If, and this is a big if, they plan on showing something new, Zelda seems much more likely. I expect Bayonetta or X.

A Zelda Wii U trailer seems plausable considering Nintendo's already pulled it twice from other events. Sounds like it's ready to be shown, and it would definately get a crowd like this excited, not to mention create buzz for the Wii U that it desperately needs.

Smash would also work too I suppose, and is probably more likely.
