Prisons have chairs too. But yeah, juvie looks possible.
Lots of places have chairs. It doesn't have to be literal!

I like that all the comments on their youtube video for P5 are all in English.
Where do you get the....erm......"bubblegum, disney channel XD" feel from?
Well, there goes my hopes the series would return to it's roots and leave behind the bubblegum, disney channel XD feel.
The colors, the character designs, the music, the chipper highschool atmosphere. It invokes this feeling of bratty teenagers listening to britney spears albums and fighting cute little demons.
I prefer the original 2 games, hands down. I really miss the atmosphere and tone of those titles. They were what got SMT on the radar for me. Now, I can't really see myself ever coming back to the series. But hey, the fans like the new style so as long as people out there are happy then I'm happy for them.
I'm 30 now. I've outgrown JRPGs for the most part, but something about Persona 1/2 just really clicked with me. They had this "dark" edge to them, that's been lost since.

I don't understand why people are taking the ball and chain literally. I'm sure the theme will be something more abstract than that like how the masses are "chained" to social networks or something.
I like the advertising on Nicovideo.

Things don't constantly have to be somber, violent and sexual to be "dark."
P3's "Momento Mori" theme was pretty dark. The Evokers were "dark."
P4 was a sunny happy game about serial murder.

This and Tales of Xillia will be the only two games I come back to on my PS3.
Have you watched the Persona 5 teaser trailer?
Yeah. I had my hopes up until that character design was posted.
This is pretty shallow of me, but I hate how the Persona games are always late on last gen systems. I've kind if wanted to get into the series but Persona 4 came out a couple years after PS3 was released and I had already packed up my PS2. Now they announced 5, and it's like a year out when I'm already in next gen mode.

Persona 3's narrative was about accepting the fact that you're eventually going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it; Persona 4 was about teenage insecurities. I wouldn't really call P3 more mature, but it was a more somber game by definition.
Yeah. I had my hopes up until that character design was posted.

The red keeps reminding me of Persona 2. Maybe some of those characters could make a cameo in this game.
He's from the new P4A. I'm pretty sure his story is tied quite closely to the P4 MC, meaning he likely has nothing to do with P5.

No no, they posted that random red head character from P4A2, don't remember what his name is.

I hope we're not going back to a school again...
I remember someone mentioning that Hashino made comments that Persona 5 was going to 'redefine' its conventions, similar to how P3 was largely a completely mechanical change from P1-2. Does anybody have a source or know where this comment was made?
Would be comforting, at this point.
Ah, so he was talking about Sho Minazuki then. I guess that guy's getting P4A2 and Persona 5 confused?
That'd be impossible... right?
Well, unless he's trolling, heh...
I always knew Devils fans were stupid, but my god.
What the fuck are you talking about dude? lol
I wish I knew what team you're a fan of so I can make the same comment! ESPECIALLY if it's the Rags![]()
Okay, so I'm going to clear this up because this misconception is hurting me on the inside. Sho is a character for Persona 4 Arena 2, he has nothing to do with P5. We literally know nothing about P5 yet aside from the teaser they dropped.I wish I knew what team you're a fan of so I can make the same comment! ESPECIALLY if it's the Rags![]()
