PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

Just got my Amazon promotional credit. I've got a KZ bundle preordered along with COD and NBA on the way, so I think BF4 might be overkill. What say you GAF - Rivals or FIFA?
 
sorry if this been posted before. but is there any confirmation that all Euro PS4s are made in japan or something ?

i am surprised we didn't see many of the PS4 boxes in UK/Euro "aside from that one picture"
 
So who'se picking up what ?
So far i'm getting just Killzone, the extra controller, the stand, a bigger HDD and the camera.
I have ps+ so i'm probably good to go for the time being, but i'm still itching for a second physical game. I'm contemplating NBA 2K4, but havn't played a Bball game since NBA jam (...).
Will i be in over my head ?

Well, I had 3 conversations with Amazon.de now, the little notification in the order details seems to be an automated message with no meaning. It said, that the product will be delivered after the 25th, but it just seems to be a dummy. Nobody at the customer service can see it.
Furthermore, it popped up after midnight. Today is the 25th, it seems like it's a "30 days in advance" reminder for people to not expect a product for christmas because the delivery date is unknown, for example.

There are a lot of people on the forums speculating about this, and even people who haven't changed anything on the order (delivery adress, payment method, gift vouchers) see this message pop up in their details. It's totally random at the moment.

Btw, all 3 people I talked to told me, my order is fine and I'll definitely get it on the day the bundle is released :)

I'll be getting Injustice, AC4 , Battlefield 4 , COD, Need For Speed , KillZone and Lego Marvel .

I've already got Plus for a year so i'm good to go come Friday :)

Oh, that does sound promising. Good find. Still struggling to find any downside to buying from the US store then. Automatic downloading perhaps?

I think that's perfectly clear-cut there. The past tense of the "if" condition wouldn't be used for a scenario that wasn't possible in the first place.
 
Well I finally bit the bullet.

Simplygames has launch day guaranteed stock of the PS4 & Vita Bundle so I'm pre-ordered with four days to go and will get it delivered to my door for release day.

Certainly a less stressful experience than the mad Xbox 360 hunt that took two months after launch until I finally got one.

Also grabbing PSN Plus 1 year sub, Killzone and NBA 2K14. Bring it on. Also thinking I may just sell the Vita and by a 1TB hybrid drive with the proceeds.

Good point haha. But then I assumed it meant a mistake scenario where you somehow accidentally activated 2 systems as primary and it wouldn't let you use either as a primary in that scenario :P. But then again you're right, it would be dumb if they enabled that possibility haha.

That's not THE bundle. That's their own bundle. Unless they've just worded it terribly. The official PS4 + Vita bundle is called The Ultimate Edition and I assume it's not a 3G console.
 
I actually considered not picking up my preorder at launch and wait til Februari, but the whole Twitch/stream thing has made me change my mind.
 
I have a PS4 pre-order with Amazon.co.uk that I placed back in June (console only), so it's guaranteed on launch day, which I don't need anymore.

Anyone want it before I cancel?
 
Zavvi confirmed my order, talks about sending early due to volume too.

My Asda order still to be confirmed. Both killzone bundles, will sell whichever comes latest as I left it late and ordered through the two lamer options. Have a feeling one won't turn up till next week.

With watch dogs and driveclub delayed I considered just selling both but the hype has got to me, feels like Christmas already. Strangely looking forward to Resogun the most.
 
Finally saw PS4 demo station in Croatia (for Croatian lurkers....in West Gate shopping mall).

Console is really small. I was really surprised how small it is. On photos I preferred XB1 look, but now I am not sure anymore :)

The controller feels great. Much much better than DS3 which I hated. I couldn't test the weight because it was connected (secured) with some heavy cord.
Sticks dont feel so good because they seem too small, and triggers are awful but better than DS3. I like touchpad and bumper buttons.

Only game they had was FIFA and it looks nice, but I am not FIFA fan so I just tested the controller.

Will KZ: Shadowfall be available digitally on launch here in europe?
And if so, what'll be the price?

Doesn't Amazon move you to the back of the queue for changing your details? I thought that's what they were doing now why I opted out.

I don't really know... that didn't happen with my two US Amazon orders.

Anyway if I don't do this today I'm cancelling, since Amazon might charge my card tomorrow if I don't.
 
Just checked my emails. No shopto dispatch yet, but I won a copy of Need for Speed Rivals from that pick the winner contest here in the UK!

That means I have Lego Marvel, Ghosts and NFSR waiting for me on the 29th!

Just popped into GAME to finalise my order, and got the hard push to upgrade to one of their 'fantastic value' Epic Bundles. No thanks, I need to save money for Christmas presents. But you can give the bundled Blu Rays as presents. No thanks, nothing says I don't give a shit like giving a generic blockbuster as a present. Any extra games? No thanks, they're over £10 cheaper at Tesco. How about adding console insurance for £65? There have been reports of consoles breaking down! No thanks, if that happens I'll ring Sony for a swap!
I feel sorry for them, having to push extraneous shit on the customer.

As far as I know this only happened because of some technical issues. I just changed my delivery adress (amazon.de) and my estimated delivery date is still the 29th.
 
Picked up my Assassins Creed IV from Currys. £27! Thanks to whoever posted the code here and good luck to everyone else who is waiting for their stuff.
 
This is certainly a strange gen transition. I have so many open games on PS3 that need completing and some that are just ongoing. I guess having both machines in parallel is okay. When PS3 gen started I was so done with PS2 I couldn't even stand to look at a PS2 game.

Pretty much. I'm pretty excited, though I hope there isn't a problem and I can get it on Friday. The store where I bought it tried to give themselves a few days of wiggle room, before I got them to commit to the date, so I guess we'll see.

Also, not in Europe, but Latin America.
