Congrats!

I have such a dilemma: do I stay awake and watch as everybody responds to getting their PS4s, or do I get an early night so I'm refreshed and at my stalking best for tomorrow morning?

Did ShopTo fuck anyone else's address up in their dispatch confirmation? Like, it's the right address but is missing my postcode and formatted it weirdly. I'm sure it's fine, just a bit weird.

Ya.

No postcode here and my address is all fucked up lol (dpd email from last nigh)

Same on the tracking to. Its on its way to my nearest depot though so they do have the postcode of it wouldnt be on the way :D

hopefully lol

No matter what happens in Europe, the UK will always be an Xboxland I assume. There are lots of uninformed people that think coming from the 360, Xbone will be superior to PS4 (coming from PS3). And since Brits love the 360 controller, they will love the Xbone controller. Mainland Europe is Sony territory though.

You are very very very wrong.

Monday is going to put this "UK is Xboxland" nonsense to bed for good.

The UK will always go for the cheaper console with the most support. Be it Sony, Sega, Microsoft, or Nintendo. we are not loyal to brands, we are loyal to our wallets.

I forsee a huge decline in xbone sales after xmas, while the PS4 will stay fairly steady and eventually be the defacto console of the UK.

Sleep, so you have more time to play tomorrow :D
I'll be staying awake til after midnight to watch the live stream then getting some sleep before they knock at my door with my new baby.

I kind of hope so to be honest, at the risk of being a bit nationalist Sony seem to support the UK industry so much more than Microsoft.

Little things like the blankets, to silly things like their indie and education outreach.

I just really feel like Sony kind of care about the UK, it's nice :)

My little brother is waiting at the local Game to see if they have any spare consoles left after the preorders, so fingers crossed.

Standing in line at my EB (Western Australia) with 20 minutes before launch, only about 10-15 people standing in line. No surprises though since it's an 8am opening time, not a midnight launch or anything. I know they have about 175 preorders, but a lot of people have work etc.

I was so pleased to see that earlier when I found out that Yodel were my deliverers. That and the horror stories from almost everyone at work.
Think of me when your are playing your nice new consoles while mine has been left in bits inside a wheelie bin and im left a broken down mess of disappointment with my extra dual shock 4 and my copy of Killzone for next gen company as I rock back and forth pretending to play Twitch streams.

Ah man, I am getting the PS4 tomorrow but watching dudes about to get theirs is not fair damnit! There should be midnight delivery men especially for PS4!

Made it about 5-8 minutes into that stream and just way too awkward, should always get witty people or comedians to host this kind of stuff. Should have got the perfect combo in Charlie Brooker to oversee things.

My ASDA order got confirmed as well finally, so my main order and back up one are confirmed. But neither fill me with confidence, probably turn up in a bin liner with duct tape wrapped around.

Just got back from midnight launch in my city in Belgium and can confirm my unit was made in China. Not hooked it up yet, wish me luck guys!

GREATNESS HAS ARRIVED \o/

About twenty people were at the local (Finland) Gamestop midnight launch.

I'm seriously impressed with the speed of... everything. Downloading is fast, installing is fast, menus are fast, party system and voice chat works, Resogun melted my eyes. Even the HDD was easier to change (due to better screws). I'm about to go to sleep, but first impressions are holyshitwow.

Ah so close now, keep refreshing my DPD page (even though i know it won't make the PS4 come any faster)

Walked past GAME and HMV and nice to see queues.

Going to be a long day waiting tomorrw

Does anyone have information about GAME orders?

I was phase 3 and was guaranteed my PS4 by Christmas but they've updated the website and now it says that your order will be shipped by the 20th December if you've paid a deposit....

I ordered mine off the website, there was no deposit.

Anyone heard from GAME about this? Is it not to late to cancel my order and go with Shopto or something so I still get it for Xmas?

good luck mate... get your update from a usb if you can

when I got my console at launch in NA the server traffic made it impossible for me to update through the network

Being from the UK I can confirm what he says is true. Obviously I don't speak for everyone but even amongst my circle of real life friends hardly anyone is interested in the Xbox One and it's very much down to price as well as MS making many mistakes over the last year.

I'll end up with both eventually (could only afford one console before xmas) but the feeling definitely seems to be in favour of the PS4. It'll be interesting to see how the launch goes and how things pan out over the next few months.
