Found out why I was having HDMI issues earlier - turns out the PS4 is extremely temperamental with HDMI Switchers and looks like its either not providing enough power to them to keep them up or the handshake protocol is going dodgy somewhere along the line. While not a massive issue, it is a huge pain in the arse as I've only got 2 HDMI ports and 4 devices plugged in.
 
I really should go to bed, it's 3:38 am and I've been playing KillZone and Resogun. The console is SO nice to use, it's like what the PS3 wants to be. Gyro typing is wonderful!
I've linked the iOS app up, so now I can use it as a PS4 remote (like the Apple TV Remote app.) Bloody marvellous. I'd say more, but I'm knackered!
 
So, I am out to queue for like 4 hours in the cold sweden to buy my friend (Yoshichan) a PS4 only one per customer... Kinda want one too now when I feel all the hype!

As the HDMI is hit or miss I suggest plugging in the ps4 into one TV port then your switch into the other. As most seem to be fine I've put a force field around mine and laser sensors just to be safe.

I thought my PS4 was DOA because no image out, until i realised the same thing, my HDMI splitter for capture card didn't work.
I am not trying to power the splitter with 5V, do you???
Mine didn't come with power supply.

I just managed to order KZ bundle from John Lewis. Missed out at 12 and have just been refreshing since. I almost went for the Tesco restock but lucky I waited.

I take back my crybaby bitching from earlier lool.

Didn't realise the Killzone bundle came with a Limited Edition steel book. Looks sexy.

Played some Resogun, Battlefield and Knack. Exhausted now but relieved I've secured a console and I'll dive into things after a decent nights sleep. From what I've played - amazing system.

Can't believe how cool the audio cues from the controller speaker are in Resogun. Feels futuristic and uber cool!

I would've posted when I got home from midnight launch but... I couldn't resist. I'm loving how fast the overall experience is, very neat UI.

Not until October, BUT for the last month my order has said delivery for 29th November, I even contacted them yesterday where they told me

I went out PS4 hunting at every store from Tweed Heads to Runnaway Bay (Gold Coast, Australia) without luck. They're all pretty much being kept safe behind counters for ebay flippers sadly.

I did meet someone who fessed up to being a gaffer (and had heard of Cactus incidentally) but wouldn't tell me their account name (claimed to just be a lurker. Hi lurker!)

If any kind Gold Coast gaffers have a spare launch day pre-order they're sitting on I'd be mighty happy to take it off your hands :) I don't want Paz to be the only PS4 dev in the world to not have a retail PS4 this christmas...

'Made in China' here. Entire store stock was the same.

Went to bed at 1am, woke up at 5, soooo tired, now waiting for DPD, I don't think a 31 year old should be this excited, it's like Christmas

My ps4 is 7 miles away, hopefully I'm one of first deliveries, no text yet though

PS4 has HDCP, so unless your splitter can strip the HDCP it will cause issues.
 
Put CoD Ghosts in. Why is the game update taking so long? Whenever i try and start it, it's telling me it's downloading and update and do i wish to play offline?
 
Almost jumped out of my skin when my controller first started speaking to me during resogun.

Voice controls are pretty awesome. It understood me whilst I had a mouthful of ploughmans sandwich, amazingly.

Contrast is nice, reminds me of Link Between Worlds' wall merging.

All in all, impressed. Decided to sell my XL and Wii U to finance it with profit on the side (lots of games to sell). I mean hell, I'll still have an OG 3DS and I'll be able to pick up a Wii U for £99 next year I bet.

Hmm.. Maybe I need a MP shooter as well, I've got Killzone but I'm not sure, BF4 or COD Ghosts?

No interest in single player for either so purely some MP fun.
