That is horse shit, mate. FedEx did that to me once. I tracked em all day the watched him drive by my house. Got email 10 min later saying I wasn't home. I called dispatch and entered rage mode. I drove out to sorting facitily and end of day and picked up my parcel. Those cunts!
 
So anyone apart from me still waiting for their PS4 to arrive?

I'd love to be sitting waiting for PSN to connect instead ;)
 
This is stupid, how can they fuck up PSN again, cant even try the second screen stuff or remote play because it wants a PSN connection.
 
DPD over an hour late, was around the corner from me (again) before and only 1 delivery more before mine, no idea whats happening now since the delivery time has gone it just says it'll be delivered today :(

With the holidays coming, I won't even have time to try out the PS4 when it finally arrives.
 
The update failed 3 times for my friend so we just downloaded it from PC and it downloaded quicker than the first three efforts together.

Waiting to see what's gonna happen. The real issue is where is it? They can't give me my parcel if they've given it to someone else. I may as well pre-order another one. Fucking hell...
 
Yeah PSN is spotty. When I can get in, it takes forever. I just want to download a game from my "Library"

Apparently your Library is tied to online services?
 
Just beat Killzone. Single player was decent with some annoying parts in the latter chapters. Credits are still rolling 20 minutes after I beat it.

When the machine booted after the FW update I (like you) persistently tried to connect to my account.

After about 15 tries I got to the friends setup screen (where you select who can see your shit) and then it errored after that.

After about another 5 tries it just skipped that step and loaded up my profile. I set it to auto load my profile, played a bit of KZ and then turned it off for dinner.

Upon returning it loaded my profile into PSN fine after and I've done a connection test which works ok but the store isn't up, I just get the spinning circle of doom. Same for any apps, but trophy syncing is ok as is viewing streams.

EDIT: I'm on the iOS app fine too, but the store is down there as well.
 
"Thank you for continuing to hold, one of our advisers will be with you shortly" and then the same music every 1 - 2 minutes... or even shorter than that.

Wonder how many have similar issues to mines :(

If you are logging onto the console for the first time, you have to go through SEN to validate your account and set-up your privacy settings. If SEN is down or inaccessible, you can't log on to anything other than the default "user1" account.

It's probably not even people with hardware faults - more likely people asking why they can't log on to PSN!
 
Just got kicked out of Resogun after five minutes because it "could not validate my licence" - I'm assuming this is because PSN is messed up at the mo, yes?

Yeah, definitely possible. Mine is from the store in Gothenburg, and as far as I know every console from that store is Japanese (I don't actually know this, of course, but I haven't heard anything to the contrary).
 
btw for anyone still in any doubt using playing US games using their EU account, don't be.

I've been playing BF4 all afternoon with no problems. I paid just under €30 for it! (amazon.com sale)
 
Finally, ps4 came, all set up. I shit my self a little, i wasn't sure where the power button was in my haste to set it up and i kept pushing the disk eject button.

Also asked the delivery driver if it was any worse than last week. He laughed and said yeah.
 
Well it is here at long last.

Absolutely stunning piece of hardware - quite overwhelmed seeing it up close and personal for the first time.

Now if only PSN wasn't down for maintenance!

15 minutes until I have to leave for work, I guess there will be no gaming for me today :(
I hope it's fixed when I get home at 8.30 tomorrow morning.
 
When do DPD deliver until? Is still showing on tracking as being at depot, but called them and apparently it most likely wasnt scanned properly but is still out for delivery...
