Do you also then need to use the normal 307mb update file? Or are you good to go?

Quick question, is it normal for the PS4 to make a slight "knack" sound upon starting-up and rebooting? It doesn't happen during normal operations and otherwise it's silent like a purring cat.

I just followed this guide. There's a link for the file on there. Formatted the card to FAT32 and then just followed the instructions at the link.

Yes the bigger update is for hard drive restores/swaps

Finally arrived. Slight issue though. Downloaded the update. It said 'preparing to install'. Then after quite a time gave me a network error. I am now having to re-download the update. Any ideas?

Well, it worked first time for me without a hitch, but I have had some errors on the PSN store a few times. I guess it will get worse before it gets better as more and more people come online.

It seems as if Sony only want to promote FTP and Indie games in America. It's crazy.

Yeah. I've had problems looking for demos before. I thought to myself, "Why am I searching through full games to find a demo?" If it isn't promoted on the front page, you have to sift through everything to find what you're looking for.

There aren't any demos for PS4 at the moment, so I guess that isn't a problem yet...

Can anyone explain how PS+ works for other regions?

I took advantage of the amazon.com sale and got AC4 and BF4 digitally. I know that you have to set up a master account in the US to download the games and then play them on the UK account after downloaded.

However I got a copy of Killzone here and I wonder which region's PS+ do I need for me to play online, UK or US?

Just picked up mine. Wasn't really expecting to get one as I pre-ordered just 2 weeks ago but Im not complaining.

First thing I noticed how small the whole thing is, including the controller. Also the controller is such an improvement over DS3.

I tell you one thing I have noticed (or not) the sound, it's pretty damn quiet.

Haven't tried a disc in it yet though so things could change lol.

AND DAMN it's fast, breath of fresh air when coming from XMB.

For those having issues logging in to PSN...


Try power-cycling the the system "TURN OFF PS4" do not enter standby mode
Doing this clears the DNS cache that can cause login issues

I had that issue. I went to notifications, pressed options and deleted the download. Went into settings, sytstem update and downloaded and installed the update from there with no trouble.

Now i can't get into PSN but i can live with that for the moment.

Well, I'm logged in fine and currently downloading a game. I've had a number of errors though when clicking on various things in the store.

There is one issue though that is bugging me: It is currently advertising a 14 day free trial for PS+, but when I click on it, the option isn't there at all. I mentioned this before. Is anyone else getting that problem?

I'm just curious to know if it is just me, or if they simply haven't started the promotion yet. I'm not really interested in paying for PS+ yet.

Well I've had about a 10% success rate when trying to dl games, but perserverance has paid off.

Resogun, Contrast and Warframe have all dl'ed now, War Thunder d'ling as I type.
