The problem for me is I felt like I was doing the same combo over and over again. Skills didn't feel new and exciting, I don't know, I play hunting-styled games and RO didn't sit with me.

I could play PSO single player for over 100 hrs on a character, so I can definitely tolerate same-ey attacks over and over as long as there's a hook to the progression.

Could not help myself...Went down on the amazon deals today and got Killzone and Sly Cooper digitally.
Really not helping my backlog/wallet

i was wondering this - are the 10$ sales today for digital games or retail??

if digitally can you link me to one? everything i'm seeing is retail verison.

edit: ah - only Sly4 is digital.....hmmm may pick this up..

Fair enough, not every game is for every person. I try to support Xseed every chance I can, but I really do regret the RO day 1 purchase. Can't all be winners.

Corpse Party + good headphones + spoiler free FAQ = excellent VN experience

Would using the Spoiler Free FAQ going for the true ending make me miss any really good bad endings? The first time I played through 999 without any guide I ended up getting the Axe ending, and that bad ending was more than definitely worth it. Then again
You needed bad ends to get to the true ending in 999
)

And I just bought the game! Thanks to the post saying that it has the same tension of 999 (which I did feel VLR was lacking in, but I still liked VLR alot for other reasons) I just ended up paying the 20$ on PSN for it. Plus I still got P4G hogging most of my RPG gaming time so I probably wouldnt get to Lunar for quite a bit. (Just hit
Mitsuo's
Dungeon.)

How do you play music in the background while playing a game? It just keeps pausing when i switch to the game.

Or can you not?

The bad endings are why you play these games.
If you're not going after every ending in Corpse Party (and there are lots of 'em), you're playing it wrong.
And a decent spoiler-free FAQ should ensure you don't miss a single one.
There are two available on GameFAQs (one in the FAQ section, one in the forum) that should serve exactly that purpose.

You can in some/most games, which one are you trying it with? Otherwise it sounds like you are doing it correctly

Spelunky! I dislike the music in the game, so I want to listen to the Tearaway soundtrack while I play haha.

When I hold down the PS Button it has the music option greyed out, and it pauses when I enter the game.

Not a big deal, just wondering.

Sounds like it's the game not supporting it. I haven't used the feature lately, but I know a lot of the early Vita games supported it

What's the point of playing games like corpse party with a faq? Part of the fun is finding all the events, faqs should be used only if case of big necessity imo.

You can't just play music by holding the PS butting I don't think. I think you have to open the music app and start to listen to music THEN go to the game and the music option should be clickable now.
Maybe I'm wrong but that's the way I did it for Unit 13

Yeah that's what I meant, sorry. I've got the app open, but when I open up Spelunky it pauses the music and the option is greyed out.

Thanks for the help though! Guess Spelunky doesn't support it, which is fine I can just listen on my computer.

I feel so stupid. Killzone: Mercenary is $20 on Amazon BUT I PURCHASED A $20 PSN CODE INSTEAD WTF!

Anyone wanna buy a Killzone: Mercenary code from me for a $20 PSN code?

Sweet! Thanks dude! Was worried when FAQ was brought up cause I thought it was only gonna lead to a true ending and I was hoping to see most of the bad endings too.

Ys is fantastic. If you guys like action games, get on that right away.

Sure, I'll help if you give me a moment.

Probably for people who just want to see the "true ending". I'll admit I used an faq for a couple of the puzzles towards the end of VLC. I can only take so much.

1) Loving Tearaway, started today and already over 50% through the game.

2) FUCK MURPHY. Still on my Rayman Legends Platinum journey (691 points...). Today will be the day I get the first silver from challenges in forever, simply because the Murphy levels in Rayman Legends are the worst shit to appear in a platformer EVER. The AI character is SO. FUCKING. STUPID, failing to do anything to save himself, even if it was something easy like hovering for a meter or two to get to safety (but nooOOOOOoo, it just drops off into the pit), and sometimes it just does plain idiotic stuff (today, it somehow managed to jump backwards on a rope, then it just dropped off instead of letting himself slide forward again and continuing like nothing happened)

My mom told me she wanted to get me some stuff this weekend so I told her to get me dragons crown and teraway.

Those good choices? What are some other good games that came out this year? I've only used my vita to play metal gear, persona, and soul sac, so I thought I need to get some new games haha.

Play your damn games, stop wasting time managing them and just play them.

I don't really understand. I want larger storage precisely because I don't want to manage my games. I want everything I have on the platform to be available. I will play my games whenever I wish to play them. I shouldn't have to be constrained to an artificial time limit due to storage limitations. I don't want to worry about whether or not I have the correct game card. I don't want to worry about whether a game needs to be installed or not. I don't want to worry about having Internet service or throughput caps. I just want my catalog on the device and ready to be played at my whim.

I have Grandia on my Vita which is a game that has been on my to-do list since the Saturn.

Oh yea I forgot about that, what are the current games?

Is Sony ever gonna refresh the Vita One Year IGC? lol
All evidence points to not anytime soon. They probably really don't need to since the original set was and still is just to get new users on board while they can just add a couple of games a month to keep existing users happy.

The thing for me is that the JP store won't accept my Amex. I'm gonna try and see if it works on the HK store. Like I need a real Taiko portable and finally buy Sol Trigger (hopefully ImageEpoch will release a sequel on the vita).

Thing is the JP PSN does not seem to accept any foreign registered CCs unfortunately. So unless ones CC is made within Japan dont think its going to work, which is why Im stuck with using point cards all the time. Though truthfully with how Sonys security is dont really want to leave my CC data on their servers again so all the better I suppose. D:

Where do you get JP point cards?

JP Playstation Plus is sooo bad.

JP PSN doesn't even have games like Odin Sphere - wtf.

Just ordered PS vita sly cooper bundle and Persona 4 golden. Feels good man.
I have never really played JRPGs (only ni no kuni and Final Fantasy), but I'm really excited to play Persona 4. I mean if Gaf likes Persona 4, is a must buy game.

Ah man, you're in for a treat.

I'm still in my first playthrough, but I think the story is drawing to a close. PLOT SPOILERS:
In August and I just arrested Kubo.
It's sad thinking that the story will end and my protagonist will
go back to Inaba in a few months. At least I'll be taking Chie with me! :3

Final Fantasy was my go-to for JRPGs, but my, how the mighty have fallen. FFX / XI were the last ones I really liked, XII had a fun battle system, and the next good one was probably XIV. :/

Persona 4 as a "JRPG" is pretty so-so. What stands out are the great characters. I'm playing the JP version, but AtlUS usually does a good job with their localizations so if they manage to preserve even 80% or so of the original depth / nuances with each character you'll probably enjoy the game.

There are a few things I miss from Persona 3 - the persona system is rather watered down; the class doesn't go "oooooh!" when you answer a question correctly; no Ms. Onishi. :/ but it's one of the few games that has really made me laugh out loud.

Drop a line with some Sly impressions! Looks like it might be a fun series to get into:D

been thinking of getting LBP Vita... a likely candidate for the refresh

I bought LBP for peanuts in a sale (knowing full well that I'll end up with the option to get it for free through ps+ at some time in the future) and don't regret it one bit.

I'm not the biggest LBP fan by any stretch of the imagination but I really appreciate the polish and sheer wealth of content that that game provides

Happy to support.

Hmm. Anybody in the US able to take advantage of the 30 dollar PS+ deals still floating around? I'll paypal you the amount.

Vita GAF, I have a simple question:

I have $22 in my PSN wallet. Persona 4 Golden or Rayman Legends?
Persona 4 Golden will last you longer and the visual novel/everyday life stuff is great but the dungeons sure are boring.

Rayman is an amazing sequel to an amazing game, and you can't go wrong with (arguably) the best version of the game now that the patch is out.

Both are good choices. P4G has been on sale a whole lot lately, however. But Rayman will probably be on sale just as much. lol

No more boring than your face, Heapy-kun.

Wow I thought I can still play my PS+ games after my subscription ended.

It specifically states that when your subscription ends you would lose access the to games.
