I wouldn't be surprised if the TF character is at VGX, I just hope that's not ALL that's there.
giggling like a fucking idiot at work over this
you owe me a coke hero of legend
It's Nintendo's secret weapon that will bring Iwata's 1 billion yen forecast to fruition: Zelda U launching later this month, Super Metroid U in March.
I really wouldn't be surprised if all we get is a new DKC trailer, possibly showing off the new character. Sounds like the insignificant thing no one really cares all that much about NCL would allow NoA to show -- and afterwards both NoA and NCL will be confused why everyone is disappointed by their showing.
That would go a ways in explaining the game press's sudden 'Wii U is the choice console for this holiday!' turnaround last week.![]()

Ask him some CLEVER questions, GAF. I'm counting on you.So, Reggie is taking over Nintendo's twitter tomorrow.

Ask him what he thinks of Kamiya.
Metroid Prime 4.

Metroid Prime 4.
Why not a new Zelda?
Someone ask if he actually has anything to announce for this event. Maybe that'd be vague enough to get an answer, though probably not.
Don't do this to me
Metroid Prime 4.
Another iteration of the old franchise. Woohoo.
When is this supposed to go down?
You know, I would love to see his response to that. Go on.I got this. "Reggie, who would win in an arm wrestling match, between you and Wario?"
It's called Steel Diver: Subwars, is supposedly multiplayer and F2P, and it already got an age rating in Australia.
It's an expanded version of the Nintendo Land Luigi's Mansion game, exclusive to the Wii U version of Dark Moon! It'd be awesome if Reggie drove onto the stage in a futuristic "car" with a Link hat on and then showed the first screens of Miyamoto's Pac Man Versus-like new IP.
If they do show something at the VGAs, I expect it will be in an attempt to cater to an older, hardcore audience. I'd expect Zelda or Metroid, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I would expect to be disappointed...Which is what Iwata said 2014 games would be about on WiiU games for core gamers
I expect Smash Bros U
I think Zelda is very possible
I would only be disappointed if its DK, Mario Kart
Would be happy with Bayo 2 or 1 announcement or X
and Metroid
I think a new Smash Brothers trailer makes perfect sense. Especially since they can announce a new classic Nintendo character and surprise third party character. It's really the strongest IP they can show to a "core crowd" outside of Zelda U.
Zelda U is actually a much more material project than I expected since Fujibayashi did zero work on A Link Between Worlds. It still would be overkill to show the game so soon though (with recent 3DS and Wii U releases).
So, Little Mac and Pac-Man, right?
I'd love more Smash stuff but the VGX crowd won't give a shit so why waste the opportunity to show something on a game meant for Nintendo fans who probably already own the system? I thought that's what the Smash Dojo and Directs were for. If they're gonna attract gamers who don't own a Wii U and aren't considering one Zelda or X make more sense.
Little Mac unveil would be PERFECT.
You do know a good chunk of older SONY and Microsoft gamers are refugees from older Nintendo consoles. Smash Brothers is the exact franchise that attempts to lure them away, even if just for a second.
