spelunky deal is now live btw for anyone interested

You're able to plug the charger into the Vita on the wrong side which results in the Vita not charging.

If you do plug the Vita charger the wrong way, you'd have to force it in as it won't fit right away.

And IMO, if you do that, you deserve the broken piece of gadget (if it broke).

I've seen equipments costing thousands of dollars get broken and cause delays on projects because people did just that. Never go full retard.

I have a weird question if anyone has had a similar experience. When im playing my Vita after a full charge the battery icon will randomly turn red, and then it says low battery, but then a few seconds later it will go back to being full green and keeps going without shutting off.

This happens randomly over the course of the charge, im not sure what could be causing it though as it seems to run perfectly fine otherwise.

Also im going to say again that Dragons Crown is just so damn good. Easily my favorite Vita game to date and I enjoy allot of the library.

So, I just bought a 64GB memory card from nippon-yasan.com. Should be here by around the end of the week or possibly mon/tue the next.

Yay for 64GB power? /◕ ◡ ◕ /

As someone who went full digital on the Vita (P4G being the only retail title and probably sitting inside my Vita forever) I hope that the constant hassle of deleting and re-downloading stuff from PSN now ends.

Not sure about Spelunky, replaying something over and over is usually not something I like. I know the levels aren't exactly the same, but I still like some kind of progress
It can't be. The Vita was full charged before I went to sleep.
Your sister played on it while you were gone

You do, over time, unlock access to new caves and caverns. I quick glance at the Wiki tells me this is Dark souls levels of hardasfuck though.

On another note, how do you play the extra chapters in Hotline Miami (Hardball and Exposed iirc), they don't show up for me at all...

Interesting. That would explain the mysterious trophies that I magically have...

Well at least it isn't as hard as Demon Souls. I agree with him though. I like the sense of accomplishment so despite my love for roguelike games, I do tend to play other genres more.

Stupid question, but you DID finish the game, right? They don't appear until
you at least see the non-secret ending.

Not surprising.

RO got it in a patch. I think even Soul Sacrifice got it in a patch.

Seems like the norm to patch that in later.

Soul Sacrifice came with a code for online play if I remember correctly for the physical version.

Use the content manager

The official DL to the content manager assistant.

Info on how to use it

It can't be. The Vita was full charged before I went to sleep.

Charge it up again. Set Vita to airplane mode (which kills the wifi) see next day if battery drain occurs again.

Yes. It's also the reason I couldn't get into online with my retail card since I bought it used.
I'm glad it's up on PS+ now so I don't need to buy an online pass.
That's definitely odd. See if it happens again, and if it does contact Sony since I presume your Vita is still under warranty.

I will try. Thanks!

Good luck and will be hoping its not an actual problem.

Ys Chronicles I & II on this screen is glorious. It's my first PSP game on the Vita, and I am blown away at how nice this is. This is like... magic or something. Now that I know how good PSP games look on the Vita, Phantasy Star Portable 2 not being on PSN is a real heartbreaker.

Maybe I was thinking of some other game then. Thought SS was patched for online in Japan. Guess not. Oh well.

A lot of games not being on PSN is a heartbreaker.

Licensing is dumb.

Even worse when games *ARE* on PSN, but not on Vita's Store. -.-

That question isn't so stupid...

I had read that at least one of them was availbale from the off, here

a bonus chapter to Hotline Miami that was added in a patch. It can be played at any time during the game, even without completing the storyline.

Does the Chapters menu unlock then? or do they just show up after the main levels?

Or Vita compatible games that are NOT available in your region or on the JPN store only.

Yeah I was kinda sad to find out that Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth isn't up on PSN :(

While you might unlock some new caves, my understanding is that it's more about highscore chasing, and I usually get bored quickly by that.

3D PSP games on the Vita doesn't look so hot, as GEB showed us.

And after Parakeetman mentioned Venus & Braves (played a bit in jp), I immediately googled about its localization (it is!) and then searched on the SEN store (it's not!), so my heart is broken too.

I was actually quite impressed by the way the original GEB looks on Vita. You wouldn't ever confuse it for a native Vita title, but it looks decent enough.

plus alisa

Can you transfer games you have on your memory cards to your pc with the content manager to bring back later to continue in some form? Like with the free plus games eating up memory card space, can I juggle them back and forth from my pc to memory?

Pretty sure you can. For convience sake, just copy the save data of your games, and re-dl all the other games you have.

Yea figure to do that, but wondering if you can transfer and save the games once they were installed too, or you can only transfer games while in bubble format like from PS3 to Vita transfers.

Not individual games ai think, I believe a back-up of the whole memory card is all. Cloud save and re-downloading of games would be your best bet

You can, I do this all the time. It backs up the whole game and any patches, and saves (if they're stored on the memory card, some retail games store saves on the card).

A very rare few games don't properly store the save file though, I lost my progress in Motorstorm RC for example. But no other game has given me problems with saves.

Interesting, I thought it was just for media and back-up. Won't use it, but that's nice

I think it just recently came out on the JP store. So might be a while before or if its released on the US one. Though am not sure if the game even came out in the west? Will google that later to find out.

To those looking forward to Demon Gaze & those who import there is another game currently in the works which comes out January 23rd done by the same company Experience Inc. Its called Tokyo New World Record: Operation Anubis or something like that. Trailer / Op below in separate links. (Am too lazy to make clickable images so just make do with the standard YT links)

Trailer:

To those who may recognize the song, word is this game is a "remake" of Generation Xth series which is why the song and some of the background graphics used may look familiar. Then again exp always recycles a lot of resources, which is ok since for the most part their games are still pretty sound regardless. Nice to see the same artist who did Demon Gaze is on board with this project too. Since the art style that they have been using since the original Generation Xth never really cared for at all.

Got Tearaway and Ys yesterday! Lent Ys to my brother and started Tearaway. :) It's really good! About 2 hours in and just reached
The Lab
. For a second, I thought it will be over already when you reached
the top of the hill
. Still, it's a magical experience even when I'm not that good in paperwork and arts.

Also, good for P4G reaching top sales! It deserves those sales, IMO. Looking forward to P5 Portable whenever that comes out!

A word of warning to those getting Rainbow Moon
Apparently you cannot undo an action once its done. So if you choose to cast a spell by mistake, for example, you can't undo it, so you need to be careful with your choices.

It's like a RTS if it's designed like that. Still unsure whether I should buy this, though. I really don't like the art for some reason.

How much is Spelunky reduced for this sale? It's still showing at $14.99 on the web store, and not home to check from my Vita. :(

From what little I played it reminded me of games like FF Tactics.

When I was watching videos, I cannot get that FFT vibe. Seems I need to play the game to know how you feel. Too bad there's no demo.

Still, a SRPG is a SPRG. I'm just torn right now if I'll buy this or not.

If you have a PS3 there is a demo that you can download. I dont see why there wont be a demo on Vita at somepoint aswell though.

I like Rainbow moon quite abit, but it is very grind heavy. I was also a big fan of the Soldner X games which were made by the same devs.

Wrong. EU blog said Terraria is NOT cross-buy.

And it's not listed as coming out in the US this week.

Which means the US holiday sale week 1 is only PS3 Terraria for $3.75.
And who knows when we'll see Vita Terraria... probably in 2014.

Good on you for supporting it. But you're really doing yourself a disservice by not playing it.

I'm not going to get Terraria until its really cheap, since it was announced for Vita so long ago, and then ends up coming to iOS months and months ago despite that version being announced after the Vita version. Oh, and the iOS version is 5 dollars I think, which I'd what the Vita version should be, at least at launch, for making us wait an OBSCENE amount of time.

No way am I paying $15 for this game.

Unfortunately, I don't have a PS3. I'll wait for feedback from you guys if it will be good purchase for the Vita. Personally, I don't mind grinding since I've played all Disgaea iterations on the PSP and Disgaea 3 on the PSV. However, Disgaea games have options to speed up the pace of battles so that helps a bit. Hopefully, the pace in this game will be good for grinding.

Little offtopic: I'm thinking about buying a PS3 in January. Should I go for it? JRPGs and SRPGs are the only reason I want it right now. If yes, any recommendations on JRPGs I've missed out on? Seems like the only games I missed were the Tales of series and remasters of KH. I know Persona 5 is coming but that will probably be a Spring or Summer release of 2015. Sorry, I don't really know where to post this question.

Best title, Kyoko Sakura all in. Bow down.

Just got mine set up. What's this 'Sim Provisioning' error that pops up at random?

And the PS3 has tons of great games, namely the Disgaea titles, Tokyo effing Jungle, and the BlazBlue games. Also Catherine. You have to play Catherine if you even remotely like Persona.

The Vita version will have a 90 minute trial
