Sword Art Online(based allgamesbeta collage), it has both first and third person view

To Love Ru infos & screens

If its the same as the PSP version am sure a lot of folks are going to go WTF at it. Since all that looks like is it got a graphical upgrade.

flOw was a pretty disappointing game. I also got really annoyed while playing it since blotches became visible.

Thanks for the warning, was tempted to pick this game up now but if the blotches show up a lot... and since they didn't include the expansion with the game I reckon I'll wait for a sale. Not really needing games or anything but thought FlOw might be cool to play sometimes on Vita. Might still get it as I think it suits the platform well, and I'll probably not be sober when playing it so the blotches shouldn't be too big a deal :P

Tempted to get digital versions of MGS at this price, would be nice to rely even less on carts. Would just need dragons crown digitally too but what to sacrifice for them...even on 64GB it's a tough call.

edit: If you change your opinion on FlOw, do post again please.

Should hopefully be plenty of new recruits, it's free on EU PS+ at the moment.
And it's coming to NA PS+ soon too. :D Might be able to get those character related trophies online now. Back near-ish launch (probably a few months after) the most people ever in a race were 3 or 4. xP

Looks like Gun Commando is free on PSMobile now. Terrible Doom clone, but it's got some charm to it I guess.

My mistake. Thanks for the correction!

Why you gotta be like that, VitaFam? ;.;

Not a dig -- just practice and learn the flow of the game. Learn how to exploit the scoring system and you'll do fine.

If you need some tips to get your ranking up:
(1) If you're playing with human partners (not sure about AI), you can use the AoE healing spells to get bonuses of +10, +20, and +30. Easy way to tack on 60 points.
(2) Always bring spells the archfiend is weak to and the proper element to break the hell once induced. Putting something into <xxxx> hell will get you a bunch of points. Breaking it out will get you a bunch more. You will also get points for archfiend vulnerability.
(3) Use your black rite for an easy +80 (or is it more).
(4) Sacrifice someone (or let them sacrifice you) if possible. This is where the mechanics get funky because you have players that want you to sacrifice them so they die and then start spamming sacrifice me -- it ends up getting them a bonus rare spell if they're sacrificed.
(5) Take as little damage as possible -- this will become easier as you learn the attack patterns.
(6) You can also get points from hitting the vulnerability of the peon creatures.
(7) You can get points for sacrificing or saving a certain number of creatures. You can get points for saving teammates enough times, I think, as well.
(8) Do it as quick as possible. Some of the above will help you with that.

There are possibly others I'm forgetting. I haven't played in awhile since agent disappeared and cyborg's save got borked.

I wish I still had the picture... there was a time when I put on the resolute sigil (1 hit death for maximum power) and cyborg switched the pact to one that had constant environmental damage without my noticing. I died immediately when it started. Someone saved me and I died immediately again. I then proceeded to tell them to sacrifice me because I wasn't going to live. Cyborg thought it would be the lowest score ever -- however, even with my zero contribution, between group awards for achieving the hell state and such as well as the bonuses for being sacrificed, I had over 450 points and was a legendary sorcerer in rank. It was crazy. :)

So Sonic Racing might just be the first Sonic game I've enjoyed.

You heathen!

With it free on PS+ later this month for NA now too, I'm sure enough of VitaGAF will have it to arrange a trophy getting session. I'll do it once I have it if we can get the other x players needed.

MGS HD daily deal is available. I was expecting Twisted Metal HD collection though. Oh well this is good too.

Bought > not enough space on 64gb memory card > yelled fuck really loud at 4am > felt bad for neighbours.

:(

Welcome to all the new Vitabros and Vitabrodettes!

I just beat Tearaway last night, and it was absolutely amazing. I haven't 100% completed all levels, but I'm close. Brilliant game. I highly recommend it. It's been a long time since I grinned from ear to ear while playing a game the entire way through, but Tearaway did that for me.

I want to be in that trophy session if it's done :)

Is there some kind of guide for collectibles in Tearaway? I may have some problems with those things in the near future, I have 90%+ in almost every single area of the game.

I'm on Ys I right now, after 20 or so years since I played it when I got my Turbo CD. Playing this remake on the Vita has been incredible, just going through the Shrine has been my favorite time gaming all year. After Book II, I'm on to Oath as well.

I'm just finishing I now, moving on to II. Then Oath, Then Seven. Then Memories of Celceta.. it's gonna be a Ys Christmas for me!

Only in the world of Hotline Miami can guys take shotgun blasts from about a foot away and get right back up like it was nothing. I swear I hate this game

Or even better when guys are running right at you and you somehow miss from about a foot away with a shotgun. I really hate this game. Deleted for sure.

Make sure we're PSN friends (I can't remember if we are, I've had a lot of adds recently, but not totally paid attention to a lot of them) and we'll make it happen. :)

This is what I used for Tearaway, after I'd taken an initial run or two through a level:

There's also a thread for if you're missing scraps/confetti. But there's no guide for those.

If it's the bundle, what really pisses me off is that they (Konami/Sony/whoever controls the ACLs for purchased licenses) should basically turn on the fact that you own the individual games. This way someone with limited space could just install MGS2 or MGS3 but would still be able to buy the bundle in the sale.

:p

To be fair, I've barely played any of them. Sonic 1 and Sonic Adventure 1 I think - I was a Nintendo guy in ma yoof.

The Genesis games were amazing. Once Sonic tried to go 3D I didn't like it anymore. I can tolerate the "modern" Sonic levels in Sonic Generations (great game!) but that's pretty much my limit.

Yeah, they're out there. I suck at those things though, and I managed to get through them without needing a guide (helps that exploring is so much fun of course). The only one I considered searching for the solution is the one where you need to (puzzle based spoiler for the later levels)
turn the Vita upside down
. Took me an age to work that out. :s

Played a bit of Stick it to the Man. I like the quirky humor so far. I'm kind of getting a LucasArts vibe, dunno why.
Is there anything around that covers what this game actually is (preferably in short, non spoilery video form)? I want to add it to my wish list purely on aesthetics but I have no idea what it is.

Phew just checked on my 64GB card, and it is no longer stuck in Shanghai. Currently in New Delhi. What shenanigans that lil fella is up too... almost imagine a Tearaway-esque type adventure.

I can't understand any of the above. As for your first complaint, the enemies aren't immune from the rules. I know I've definitely taken a bullet and walked away.

As for your second, the aiming is very fine and accurate. If I happen to miss with a weapon, it's because I aimed just to the left or the right. One thing that will help you in this department, as well as getting through rooms, is use the lock-on feature. Use the touchscreen to look around and tap an enemy to lock on to them. If you miss shooting an enemy that is locked on, then you're doing something wrong.

Unlike you, I have fallen in love with this game. I play it at least a half an hour every day. I just can't get enough. After finishing the story, the extra story, and now working on the secret ending, I find myself chasing scores. I find it all so enjoyable on account of the level design, the game mechanics, tight control, and tons of room for experimentation. Of course, the soundtrack and presentation only further add to this glaring positivity.

Yup, sounds like someone rage-quitting cos it's too hard.

Tapping square helps as well when being chased down, lock on to nearest target.

Did they ever release Peace Walker HD for Vita?

No, just the PSP version.

Couldn't find a non spoilery video for you. This is all I have:

Stick It to The Man! is a humorous platforming adventure developed by Zoink!, and featuring dialog by Adventure Time comic writer Ryan North. In it, the regular seeming Ray wakes up from a coma to find a "16 foot pink spaghetti arm" sticking out of his head, while government agents and a mysterious figure known only as The Man take an increasing interest in his life. The arm gives Ray the power to read and manipulate peoples minds, and to change the world around him by "sticking" objects to each other.

Sadly, no.

Well fuck, now I don't care what it plays like. I'm in!

EDIT: Not cross-buy? Not bothered, just want to make sure I pick up the right version.

I use lock on. And sometimes it locks on to an enemy through a wall I can't shoot instead of the one that's going to crush my skull in a second with a pipe or bat. Lock on feels like a crapshoot unless everyone remotely near you is in a nice line to get mowed down.

It's a fun game but it feels clunky as fuck and it detracts from the gameplay for me. It's frustrating as hell to lock on to the wrong enemy and get killed. That's not my fault at all. I can deal with the randomness of things happening. I can deal with trial and error to figure out how best to do things. I can't deal with knowing exactly what to do but everything feels so clunky I have zero confidence in being able to do it. When I succeed I feel it's more a factor of luck than mastering game mechanics. Like I'm lucky that my gun blasts kill everyone in this group. I'm lucky that I locked on to the right person coming at me. I'm lucky that I got the jump on this dog here instead of it patrolling where it normally does.

So Sonic Racing might just be the first Sonic game I've enjoyed.

It's about the 20th Sonic game I've enjoyed, but I share your positive attitude towards the game. Best kart racer ever. In fact it's so much better than every other kart racer that calling it a kart racer feels like an insult.

:)

Still getting used to the handling (dabbled with Sonic and Ralph, but I'm quite enjoying the Crazy Taxi kart at the moment). I find myself trying to snake when it doesn't seem like that's necessary - it's also nice and tricky right from the off, but I'm progressing with each try. Just as it should be.

Where is this, Amazon?
EU Christmas sale.

I need those twin stick MGS4 controls tho...I'll stick with the PS3 version for now, it actually looks pretty awesome.

Well, you can assign the second stick to camera / play shooter style, but it's not as smooth as the HD version at a guess since the stick is emulating buttons.

You forgot counter attacks on the peon creatures. You can also do skilfulls on the peons, if there's no boss on the level you're on this becomes useful.

In order to do a counter, you wait until just before a monster does its physical attack(They have magical attacks that can't be countered sometimes), and insert a spell, the monster will then die in one shot. I find keeping a blitz spell to take advantage of this to be worthwhile, because there are 2-3 levels of counter that can get you a mess of points.

That would require playing games on a PC. The only game that makes me do that on occasion is World of Warcraft (and Diablo 3, before the superior console version).

You can get Sonics 1 and 2 via the PSP Megadrive Collection. It's in the EU PSN store.

I don't really rate 'em, mind.

Then stop playing Warcraft on your PC and dedicate that time to beating the classic Genesis games.

The PSP Genesis collection is OK but lacks Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

I suspect Rainbow Moon is going to be part of PS+ sometime before summer time. Just a hunch, what do you all think?

I'm still going to buy it while it's on sale. I have questions about it, but I haven't found answers yet. Once I do, if I'm happy with the answers, I'll toss some money at it.

Having never played any of the Metal Gear Solid games, is the collection any good on the Vita or should I get the console version?
