Here's is what I got. I can't wait for 2014.

I would say it has to be just a cool visual effect... But I have a question for you. So the coffee table you have... From Ikea?
Is there away to get shorter legs on it. Really like the style, but I am gonna be sitting on a Ben bag (actually it is a 7.5 foot lounger comfy sack) and I don't want it over my line of site.

Oddly lit and everything looks a bit small, but you get the idea. Those with keen eyes will also notice that I pulled out my launch day original XBOX and hooked it up in celebration of the XBO's release. Old piece of crap still works like a champ. I own a great many consoles beyond this, but they're all packed away.
I plan on a significant upgrade when I purchase a new house in a year or so. I'd like to have a dedicated gaming room with multiple TVs, a separate full theater, and a few other super-duper A/V things that aren't really game related (unless I'm listening to game soundtracks or something).

It honestly does for me.
Mainly just looks cool.
Sometimes at night i turn the orange on and it accents my walls well which are like a brownish color

I swear it does wonders for the contrast. That blue/grey-ish tone in dark scenes (which should be black) is less apparent for me.
And easier on the eyes of course. I can't watch/play for long in a dark room or I feel like I want to pull my eyes out.

Heh, now I can say I've finally seen another sharpshooter in the wild other than mine. Cool setup.
Honest answer here: I think you can just use a saw to shorten the legs. Most Ikea furniture is a cheap wood, I've seen some people "hack" (double meaning, eh?) tables by sawing the legs.
Probably the poseable figure above the cabinet.

- Genesis games (bought them in a lot plus some individually. Wish I had more. My favorite system.

As far as I remember, I've never posted in a gaming setup thread before, but there's a first time for everything, so! This is my current living room setup. We recently moved into a bigger apartment and are still in the middle of the arduous process of ordering (custom) furniture, which is why the majority of gaming-related (and other) possessions is still (and might remain) in boxes somewhere in the corners or under the bed. I guess I will post a status update to next year's thread.

Finally, a peek inside the drawers of the TV stand. The top one houses some of my daughter's favorite DVDs and CDs, as well as some of my favorite box sets. The bottom one is for BluRays and PS3 games. The wireless XB360 controller is paired with the PC. There's also a DualShock 3 in there somewhere.
I have some hopeful future plans for the small space on top of the amp (on the top shelf of the TV stand), because it seems to be curiously WiiU-proportioned (coincidentally the only this-gen console I'm currently interested in).
I also recognise that my current keyboard is maybe not optimal for games requiring manual dexterity (but is wonderfully handy for remotely manipulating XBMC controls from the couch). So there's room for improvement, but it's a nice problem to have.

All my older consoles are packed away for safe keeping which includes pretty much every console released since the SNES with the exception of the Dreamcast.
The Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid 10-key less cherry blue mechanical keyboard. I was going to link it but it seems like it's gone up in price by about $30. I got mine for $62 and it better than any I've ever used.
It's an Okamura Luce. Me and my wife are of fairly different heights and builds and for the longest time we were looking for an office chair that offers maximum adjustability for as little actual adjustment, i.e. pulling on levers and moving different parts around, as possible.
This chair fits the bill well, as almost the entire mechanism is automatic and contained within the body of the chair, so there's almost no protruding levers (apart from the lever for simple height adjustment of the leg). It also means that the chair is unusually light for its type. The always flexible (up to an angle of 15 degrees) back offers good support for the lower back without ever allowing you to become lazy and just slouch for long periods of time.
So yes, it's real comfortable, but also weirdly strict in the way it forces you to sit in an ergonomic fashion. Overall, I'm really happy with it.
