How do we know how many ppps we got?

Also, anyone tried WW All-Stars PSP? How is it, I'm thinking of getting it.

I would love to not be a 50ppp peasant but I JUST CAN'T FIND THE DAMN OPTION >___>

You don't want to play FF9 on 50 Hz, you really do not want to do that.
Why? I'd need to make a US account anyways, so if you give me a good reason I'll buy it there, no problem.
I would also like some more details on this, as I just bought a Vita (should be delivered next week), and my first anticipated purchase is FFIX.

I understand the 50fps vs 60fps thing, but what I would like to know is: how much difference does it really make? Does it somehow impact the game besides just running slightly slower? Is the music affected? Will I notice without doing a side-by-side comparison?

Basically, I'm in Australia so by default I will be on the EU/AU store and therefore get the PAL version from PSN. It sounds like switching regions means I need another expensive memory card, and is a hassle, so I only want to buy FFIX from the US PSN store if it's really worthwhile.

You can use a new US PS account with your Vita, it's not difficult to make and it won't cause any issues.

It's also not an issue of framerate but overall slow speed, best example i can think up atm is:

Basically if you want to play psx games, use a JPN or US account, but if you must use an EU account, keep in mind only a dozen or so PSX games are 60 Hz.

Depends on your definition of short and if you go through all the routes. It took me 27-30 hours to get through it. I'd say that is normal length for a visual novel.
It's long then!
But does it have some sort of replay method that makes you play from the scene you want like VLR or you need to replay the entire game? Or there are savegames?

Anyway i haven't played TellTale games, but the more i read about them the more i'm convinced that they are more elaborated(or just western) visual novels, am i wrong?

JP Playstation site

Holy cow, there are a mass of games that have not been localized in the west.

God Eater 2(we will get it imo)
Gundam Breaker(man i'm not a mech or gundam fan but i want this)
Ciel no Surge
Orochi 2 Ultimate(iirc we are getting this)
Can't read this but involves giant robots in an SRPG - I assume it's Super Robot Wars
Exstetra (also on 3DS, also not localized)(this seems to be shit)
Neptunia Re;Birth 1(we'll probably get this)
Criminal Girls Invitation(we are getting this)
Madoka Magica The Battle Pentagram
Tales of Innocence R(this is bad)
Little Battlers eXperience W
Dynasty Warriors? 7 with Treasure Box(we are getting this)

To name some of the notable ones. There are also a lot of visual novels. Some of these have no hope of localization, but man :/ hope we get at least some of these. I know we'll get God Eater 2 eventually.
Imo you didn't link the best ones, visual novels apart:

So i bought LittleBigPlanet Vita , enjoying it so far, the game has a story wich surprises me , i know the first one didnt have a real story. Didnt played the 2nd game. I love the fact that you can create games on this game is so simple and fun , im gonna be obsessed with custom mini games creation once i finish the story mode.

In other news , anyone excited about danganronpa? i know is a weird game , i have enjoyed the Ace Attorney´s saga but im more interested in the gameplay danganronpa offers , is really something weird and new. What i dont get is , this game is a remake of the first PSP game or is a new game?

I have a big backlog , but imj playing Persona 4 golden wich i never played before, so i beleive is one of the best jrpgs i have played in my life.
Daganronpa is the game i'm hyped the most, i'm wanting for it since its psp release.

The PSX, PC Engine and PSP library of JPN PSN makes me sad...if I ever end up with another Vita, it'll be for my JPN account.

Its massive in comparison to what I remember being on the US store.

Though Im still disappointed by how many other great titles are missing for one reason or another. That and the prices are pretty high in comparison to the western side of things. With few sales.

Thanks for the reply.

Honestly, the main thing that's giving me pause about buying from the US PSN store is the hassle of resetting my Vita every time I want to switch accounts/memory cards. What actually gets "reset"? Is it just basic settings like app placement on the home screen etc, or is it something that's going to take more time to re-configure?

I've heard it's easy, but it just sounds like a hassle! :)

F**k Me, Flower is beautiful!! Just opened up the trial, and I'm having a fantastic time. At first it seemed boring, but now that I have more petals and got the hang of the controls, it's majestic and kinda calming. Definately buying this after I get some funds. Glad that there's a trial. Everyone needs to try this.

Also, has there been any "major" or exclusive western releases announced for Vita that I should be paying attention to? 2014 is looking pretty bare at the moment.
I'm only looking forward to Gravity Rush2 (western date unconfirmed), Soul Sacrifice Delta (was western release confirmed?), and Assault Android Cactus in the future. Feels like something's missing.

If you don't have Plus on your AUS/EU account, then you could just make a US account and get what games are available on that region that you like.

If you already have Plus and Free vita games on your AUS account...well there's Breath of Fire 3 if that's OK @_@ You could still get the PSX FF games and maybe the slowdown won't bother you.

I hate to break this to you, but if you are looking for western exclusives, the vita, and handhelds in general, is probably not the system for you.

And people always complain about the lineup for the vita, but this year turned out pretty good, and so was last year. Games will continue to get released and announced throughout the year. We don't need to worry too much about it.

Hey guys, is the PSN EU store down or something? I can't seem to be able to connect :(
It asked me to change my password when I tried to log in. I did and now it just doesn't connect to the store ( my internet connection is fine though ).

I'm having a real hard time with the web store right now too.

I do have PS+ and a whole bunch of free games ready to go but... the more I read about the whole 50Hz vs 60Hz thing (especially with FFIX), the more I think I should probably just grab it from the US PSN store anyway. I don't plan on multi-tasking lots of games and constantly switching accounts, so hopefully the hassle will be a small inconvenience.

It's probably worth it as I would like to replay a bunch of old PSX games, not just FFIX. Maybe I'll even finally give MGS1 a proper shot...

Yeah I'm having a similar issue with the store. I can login to the SEN network fine and add dollars to my wallet but when I try to actually login to the store its failing even after a password change. Its fair annoying because I was hoping to buy the discounted Rayman Legends today

MGS1 PAL is optimized for 50 Hz, go for it. I think the Disney games are optimized too? i know the Crash games are optimized or otherwise run very well, and look gorgeous on dat OLED.

Well, I just bought a second 16GB memory card purely for PSX games bought from the US PSN store, so I'll probably just buy all my PSX games from the US store just to be safe :)

I was planning on having a bit more fun with rayman legends and stick it but that settles it. Back to work in them caves, nice job again!

I saw your newer reply, have fun on other games but don't forget about Spelunky!

And thanks again :)

Congrats. Glad you're feeling better about it all and glad you managed to beat it (I'd be extremely jealous if I hadn't managed to do it the other day. :P).

Congrats yourself. Thanks for offering helpful advice through all the ''learning experience'' :D

Today's sale is Dead or Alive Plus - 50% off :(
I got this game 3 days ago.
It was Friday evening and I was browsing psn store. Found DoA5 plus for 18 euros, so I got it. Didn't know it was on sale or anything.

Looks pretty good for a Vita game and dat 60 fps is so good.

I have mixed feelings toward that game. It's neat, but I don't like that it's freemium. I'd rather just buy a game. And it's not a good free model, imo.

Frobisher Says! was great, since it was basically just a free mini-game collection with expansion DLC. And relatively easy trophies, once you understood them... ie; looked them up.

Yea, I actually didn't like that either. It made me focused on saving my destiny orbs than spend them. Made sure to let them know in my feedback that I would rather pay for a $15-20 game than the F2P model.

I've yet try Frobisher Says!, but it's in my backlog list of vita games.

why the sad face? DOA on Vita is bloody fantastic.

I don't like fighting games either. But Rayman Legends is awesome. The touch levels are only decent, I'd have prefered being able to control my character but still... it looks amazing and it plays really well. So I can't complain, it was only 13,50 euros.

Oh EU will announce either next week or by X-Mas.
US PSN announces at the last week of each month.

And Japan will announce a sale like NEVER

lol

FML

Im still waiting for the 11th to get my digital copy of P4G even though have the physical one. Since it will drop the price slightly by 1000 JPY. Granted still will cost like 50 bucks I think instead of 60. Or was it 40. Well one of those, in any regard its not much of a discount.

When Vita was doing like shit in Japanese market P4G's physical copy price went down, then went up again after Vita sales picked up.

Where was that at though? Since for the most part the price has always stayed consistent with the major retailers.

Which generally happens with big name titles like that.

When will I get my TiTS US PSN sale D:
This $20 of mine is itching to be spent

Brah they're gonna need every cent if we ever want to see Chapter 3 localized.

I bought it early this year for $20 and I feel like I contributed to Chapter 2's localization and Steam release T^T.
