What's the latest word on Sony's localization SWAT team? They said they were assembling a small team to take on the localizations that the publishers wouldn't take a chance on.
 
Is the PSN Store/SonyEntertainmentNetwork in Japan down at the minute? I haven't been able to get on the past few days.

I realise this might be off topic but I'm checking from my vita :p

So far we've had the "Holiday Sale week 1" which I found to be particularly underwhelming and I don't think had much of a Vita angle to it. We should have a better idea of week 2 when the "PS+ Preview" goes up today.

I'm not competent enough with a JP account, especially with funding/buying. Sony should really allow us to have at least 1 account for each region on our Vita. It would solve a lot of the bullshit that gets complained about.

Would I be HAPPY about spending more money to rebuy games I already own on my main account to get them to work on my Vita? No. But would I be happier than not having ANY way to play them? HELL YES.

We agree on DoA too, though I DO like fighters. ;)
I still gave them $10 when it was back on sale just to support the fact that they made a fantastic port (especially compared to other Tecmo games, like, y'know, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 1 and 2. especially 2.).

Didn't they say a similar thing to Chapter 2 before? Just buy their games once their JP heads see how well it sold, they might just give the OK for Chapter 3

Or make it like the PS3 or PSP(?) where you can have as many accounts on your system as you want.
 
It might help if you post about the store issue preventing you from purchasing the game at the blog, maybe they can do an encore when the deals end?
 
DoA is sort of tempting. I might pick it up. It'll have to go on my 64gb pile though, there's no way I can fit it on my 32gb right now.

I guess beginning of 2013 price was already not at the bottom.
I remember it because I told my friends how good P4G was (and how cheap they are available used), but they told me they couldn't find any good deal so just went for new copies.
 
Can anyone sell me on DOA5? I do enjoy my fighters.

Have Blazblue EX, Mortal Kombat, SFxTK, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur: BD, SF Alpha 3, does DoA5 bring anything to the table?

I'm still using 4gb card, didn't stop me getting DoA. Now I can't really download more games which sucks. File size of DOA+some free DLC is 3104 MB.
Really need to get new vita card soon.
 
So is it worth it for me to make myself a jpn psn account?

It won't stop me from getting it, but it will stop me from downloading. Makes for a compelling reason to justify the upgrade to myself haha.

Anyways, Spelunky for less than 4 bucks? I feel robbed

. If you don't own this already be sure to jump on this US Vitabros! At this price it's almost a crime to not buy it.

Same here, I've been avoiding it due to it seeming too difficult for me, but I'm sure my brother's gonna love playing it. Although TBH he won't be back til Summer lol, but most of his non LoL game time was on the Vita and he loved the games he played on it.

Depends. JPN PSN has a big list of PSP, PC engine and PSX games unavailable in the west. I believe the Yakuza: Black Panther games are on the JP PSN store along with Rockman Rockman/Megaman Powered up.

It may be good for use on another Vita if not your main one.
 
Oh you can't just like, sign in and buy stuff it turns your whole psp Japanese?

That's about it. I'm not sure what to compare it to, since I've never liked the series. It's always felt like the knock-off Tekken or VF to me... and I don't even like VF either.

Good price on Spelunky, but the rest is pretty terrible. That dragon's crown discount isn't anything special -- it's been $29.99 before.

More concerning here is the fact that no Vita only games have been in the sale the past two weeks -- Dragon's Crown kind of, but I think they only did that because they caught all sorts of flak for when they did things like offer a sale on MK9 but made it PS3 only.

Sometimes. Annoyingly, their sales are unpredictable and you have to luck out to get anything at a good price.

Not unless they change the Vita to allow more than one account to install games on a single memory card (a la PS3).
 
anyone having trouble signing into the SEN store in a browser? I can't login and i'm wondering if they're trying to make me reset my password again.

After the release of the first one they said that they wouldn't focus on Chapter 2 but not cancel it either.

I found that interview and it isn't as clear as I thought it was, so there could still be hope.

Trails 3rd have less text than SC, but more than the first. They are talking about Zero and Ao no Kiseki.

Used prices really vary depending on location. Some stores are run by folks who are more attune into watching the market price therefore pricing accordingly. Others just have some sort of generic corporate list they go by.
 
OK gang, remember when we talked about a Vita GotY list? Well there's one way we can do it:
Basically we PM someone our top 5 or 10 PS Vita games (PSP games released in 2013 could count I guess?) and that person tallys it all up and then the list would be put up by say the January thread.

So yeah I'm copy catting what SteamGAF are doing but this is one way for us to see what games our GAF community liked the most on Vita.

Does anyone know if it's possible for the memory sticks to go above 64GB? I read a while back from something not all that official that suggested 64 was the cap with these kinds of cards? A shame because eventually a 128GB (provided they double the 100 app limit cap) would be awesome. Reached saturation on the games I'd and just basically having enough for an estimate of Luftrausers, Eufloria HD, TxK and maybe one or two other indies like doki doki universe and that mutant mudds game/rogue legacy. Provided they don't fuck up with file sizes...doki doki universe might be big if there is a lot of voice acting...

Should I get Rainbow Moon before the discount ends in like a day?

I don't mind grinding and the idea of a grinding game actually sounds fun on a portable! I am not looking for fanciful character design nor epic story, just interested into great loot and monster killing .. is it the right game for me?
