yup. Super Crate Box and Fuel Tiracas iirc.

Fantastic. I'm glad I never bought Super Crate Box now. I'm actually going to install a PSM game? Madness.
And the Fuel Tiracas is a Futurlab game? Awesome. I hope you're right! :)

I don't think the
Eye of Cthulhu
will take too kindly to your house.

Yeah, y'know, I was going to say that I bet some of the bosses would be giving him some dirty looks... :lol

I never found a case that would fit with the grips attached. I did find this, though. it's a Pelican 1170.

So, I got one and did it.

That's like what a hitman who plays Vita would carry. :-)

Welcome back Takao. I'll wait for your comments in the Media Crate Sales thread today :)

There's a Hydra in the Avalon 9 pacts -- Desert Hydration, maybe? -- I used to use that one for attempting to get Anquished SE -- and it gives good experience too for saving/sacrificing (it's where I ground a lot of my 99 out.)

I think Cerberus is suffice. But how I always get Automaton SE++ after killing the very first ghoul in that pact make me worry that SE/LE are not random at all and set from the level just like offering.

Disaster has struck, my Vita screen is completely blank.
It was fine on Friday, left it at home on a table while I was out all weekend, come back turn it on and the sound is fine but screen is completely black.
There looks to be a very tiny crack, barely visible, under the glass in the top left.
I read that even a small crack can render an OLED useless.

I'm devastated. I'm out of warranty, is it worth trying to get it repaired or will it barely be cheaper than buying a new one?

So I'm wondering, if I buy a new Vita, what's tied to my card and what's tied to the Vita itself? In other words what data will I lose?

I'll wait til Starbound, possibly, at this point. :)

Is confirmed a Vita version of Starbound? I don't really find Terraria that atractive, but I what I've read about Starbound looks awesome (I know they're quite similar, but those things about different planets to explore and stuff is calling me!)

And... I've just found my old Digimon World 2003 copy in a shelf and couldn't resist. It's one of the first JRPGs I've ever played, I just looked at Wikipedia and it seems like it was trashed by reviews, but I loved it as a kid and I want to play it again.

Still, the game is technically bad. There are load screens for everything, even the main menu, and the game has some weird squares when you travel through areas that must be used while the scenario is loading. But I don't care! I've played 3 hours tonight and grinded a little. I know I'm returning tomorrow :)

Oooooh, it's not a special one.

Hold on. I have a better idea.

Use that list to find a stage with them.
Pick one of the middle stages that's not too high or too low (if you think that you keep getting SE++ instead of SE+). Then put on the sigils that boost rarity. That should help.

I think different planets is just like visiting the different worlds in Terraria... not sure how fundamentally different each one is.
Starbound was announced for Vita at Gamescom:

I'll wait til Starbound, possibly, at this point. :)

will be out Q4 2017 on PSP3 (called PlayStation Xperia in the west) :p

but yeah, these indie guys need to lower the prices for their 3 years old ports that everyone and their kittens played already on multiple platforms already.

There are different world? I didn't know. Still, there is something about Starbound that makes me want it more than Terraria. I'll give it a try if I find it for cheap. Not spending 15 euros after all the delays.

Yup when they announced it I would have paid 15, a year later after a billion sales for under 5$. He'll no.

Damn right. We finally agree on something. ;)

Hahaha. But you're right in this case. They announced it, then they ported it to phones out of nowhere, then they did patch 1.2 or whatever, now they're working on Starbound. And there's no cross-buy and it's full price? No sale.

I honestly think I like Terraria more, as Terraria doesn't seem to have this "you need to hunt for food to feed yourself" mechanic. And I like fantasy settings more than sci-fi.

Terraria allowed you to visit different worlds (multiplayer) and every time you went to another world, it was randomized. It still had all the same core elements (bosses, etc.) but the layout and stuff was all different. I'm not sure if you could do it in single player -- my character was never strong enough to worry about it.

But again, I agree, it's not worth $15 at launch. Or ever, at this point. :lol

The Starbound people already said that the console and pc versions are being prioritized over the Vita one, so Toto might be right with that year, haha.

Seriously. They announced and released a mobile version after they announced the Vita version and the mobile version is $10 cheaper to boot.

Sooo.... with FFV getting a release finally I can have Final Fantasy I - X in my Vita eh?

Damn can't wait for that 64 GB to arrive.

Guys. Guys! GUYS!

Final Fantasy I and II via the PSOne chronicles game?
I really didn't like II when I played it on GBA, but I'd buy the PSP version that has Final Fantasy I if it worked in the US. I love that game so much. Very high nostalgia factor.

ABOUT DAMN TIME!

Not sure if serious... -_-

Why the angry face, sir? We're all friends here.

It was the closest "face" I could think of to the Fry "not sure if serious" meme face...
I wasn't sure if you thought it was really announced or if you know of the Laughing Banana localization bit.

Oh wow, free Super Crate Box is an awesome get. Make sure you download it people.

That's what I'm saying... is the price updated now?
Edit: not on my Vita, it's not. :(

Hmmm....FF5 to get or not to get on PSN..?

No?
I have it free from PS+ and I don't even want it.
I think it suffers from the 6-10s random battle load times and I still think that it has an ATROCIOUS localization.

But if you love the game and have a Vita -- it might be the best you can do.

I'm curious about AC:Liberation since I now have a vita. And I see there is a console version for PS3 coming out also in January. Do you think I should get the Vita one? Or will the Console one be better?

Of course the console port will be better.
Shouldn't have the framerate issues, should have better textures, etc. It could also have additional bug fixes, which would be good.
The Vita one wasn't bad while it was exclusive... but now, if you really want to play the game, I don't see why you'd play it on Vita over the other platforms.

Okay so i'm going to give in and buy a PSVita.

Looking around, the cheapest one I can find is the 3G version - is there any downsides to that over the WiFi? (Would seem odd, but hey - why the fuck is it cheaper?)

Yay, another convert. There's no real downside to having a 3g model. I have one and the only difference is an extra system app and having an extra text in the system bar. The extra system app could be annoying if you tend to hit the 100 app limit, of course.

I'm sad about the Terraria price. But I can wait, already owning the PS3 version. The bigger news is that the 1.2 patch is finally coming.

Been dragging the PS3 and now the PS4 to my girlfriends place for some time now and I just can't be bothered anymore - so remote play and the endless P4G threads made me go look at deals.

I don't think the system app thing will annoy me.. I didn't even know that thing had... apps...? Unless that's counting actual games.

They had me at free. I vaguely know this game from somewhere. I take from all the excited posts that this is a fun game?

There's apps. You have Netflix, Facebook, maybe even Twitter. Then there's the built in apps like ps3 remote play, ps4 link, settings, friends, trophies. Then you have your games. You can only have 100 bubbles and every app, including the built in ones and all your games count towards that limit. Most people don't hit this limit but some people with a lot of small games and/or big memory cards do.

Hmmm....FF5 to get or not to get on PSN..?

I'm currently trying to figure out which vendor to buy the entire FF catalog from: iOS, Android, PSN, etc.

I'm leaning towards android because it's more portable. I have an android tablet and smartphone, and I could probs wirelessly connect my tablet to TV and play on there as well. However, I'm sure iOS/Vita will get more of the graphically heavy FF games sooner than Android in the future (FFIX, X, XII, etc). Decisions, decisions... hmmm...

1 & 2 via Final Fantasy Origins (PsOne)
3 (PSP)
4 via Final Fantasy IV the Complete Collection (PSP)
5 just released
6-9 (PsOne)
10 and 10-2 very soon I hope.

Does iOs or Android even have 7 yet? I don't see the 3D FF's coming to iOs or Android for a while. I'd go with PSN, play them all on your Vita which is portable enough.

There are higher leveled Cerberus there. I should plow my through to that pact it seem.

There are a few Spanish Vitabros/ladies, right? I ask because Tadeo Jones just showed up on PS3Trophies, and it looks kind of fun. I'm wondering whether the game is entirely in Spanish, or if it has any English options.

My newly-purchased Vita isn't going to arrive for another week. I can't wait to play FFIX and Spelunky on it. Super excited, but 7 more long days.....

Might as well get the console one, nothing too special about the Vita version.

If someone can confirm, have they gotten rid of that seriously annoying ball in a maze puzzle?

You posted this in the vita thread, so I assume you want someone to tell you to get it on Vita.

Don't worry I got you covered:

X is going to be on Vita. Get the rest on Vita for the most complete collection.

You're welcome.

We'll see, it looked interesting enough from the videos I checked out on Youtube. Decided to buy it anyways.

Great game to have anyway! Would be the perfect desert island game - If you could enjoy the views there or something after frustrating moments/periods with the game.

Just bought Spelunky without even trying the demo and only seeing footage of the first stage. I hope you didn't mislead me Gaf

You get a gold star. :)

I hope you enjoy it too, but it is a hard game.

Hard shouldn't have anything to do with it. A challenge isn't a bad thing.

I just got Spelunky, hope I enjoy it. (I'm not good at hard games)

Practice. So long as you enjoy the core gameplay and pay attention, you'll get better and hopefully have fun while doing so.

Just bought Spelunky without even trying the demo and only seeing footage of the first stage. I hope you didn't mislead me Gaf

If you saw footage and thought "it looks like fun" the rest of the game is pretty similar -- it just varies the encounters/enemies/traps... it's still a 2D platformer that's goal is score attack and is challenging and hard to master.

By the way... what the hell... the last two pages did not have Killatopak in it?

Frost, did you send a hit squad for him or something? Hahaha.

Like it would take a whole squad...

I was just wondering what happened to him.
Maybe he got his PS+ sub and is now all about playing games on his Vita, so he's not posting.
Unless he got banned or something?

Could just be my imagination but it seems like games either have cross buy or cross play but not both. I've been playing Hotline Miami on the Vita and fully expected my save to be on PS3. Dragon's Crown would be a no brainer if it was cross buy but I can't decide what platform I want it on more so I'm just going to see if it gets cheaper.

Hotline Miami IS cross-play

I just got Spelunky too, but won't have a chance to play it for a while. Is it a game that can be beaten, or is it more of a score attack game? From the videos I've seen it seems like more of the latter, but I'm not sure.

It's beatable. There is a normal boss and a secret boss.
The daily challenge (and trophies and stuff) can be looked at as score attack -- the goal is to beat the game and do it with a high score (or as quickly as possible).
The replayability comes from the score/time attack portions (not to mention there's a lot to do and see if you get good enough at the game) as well as from the randomly generated maps.
