Fighting Games Weekly | Dec 9-15 | Funding Nemo? Not yet...

You know what I see?

A Tekken character throwing out lots of projectile hitboxes. That's fucking great.
The projectiles look kinda shitty like pretty much every projectile in a Tekken game. I don't think it's going to be a core part of her game plan.

I do agree that TR is a test bed for TxSF though.

Eliza is the first character in Tekken with a Projectile (lasers don't count)

TKxSF going with a more KOF-style approach to projectiles would make sense.
It doesn't really matter if its SF style projectiles or KOF projectiles. Projectiles will get side stepped and punished or if they are duckable they can be wave dashed by certain characters and punished that way.

Unless they are considerably fast which most projectiles in Tekken aren't (the few ones that are in) or if they have side homing capability. Or if they are unblockable.

Most entertaining? I disagree.

They will probably have fast recovery and have oki applications to them. The biggest problem is most projectiles in Tekken start up slow as fuck and are super telegraphed

Or if they have a wide hitbox.

The hit box would have to be insanely wide to catch side steppers.

If projectiles have fast recovery then they would have to be balanced by having slower start up otherwise they would be too good. If you can get away with throwing a fireball at mid range even if its side stepped, then that would be too good.

I do like what they are doing with this character in that the projectile has other uses outside of just spacing. It has combo/oki capability although a projectile that is not useful in the neutral is a bad projectile.

Just make the projectiles blockable and give them fast start up/recovery, with short block stun

is it just me or Nuckledu is arguably better than Dieminion at this point?

Nuckledu is definitely better than the current dieminion we've been seeing. He doesn't come close to the dieminion we saw leading up to and during EVO though. His aggressive style catches a lot of people off guard but I think it's a bit detrimental too.

No.

Did you not see the Blanka match? Dude still gets nervous and starts playing like an XBL kid if things start to look bad.

Dieminion may not be at the top of his game now, but he's still better.

I'm pretty sure they're not. It really is a strange element of the charcter's design. I don't get why they added them.

I remember seeing concept art of the character that detailed little features on her. From what I remember, she drew those marks on her chest herself and those horns are some fake prop thing.

She's being added to Revolution -- the original announcement was that she was going to be added before the end of the year, but it looks like they'll miss that. And Devil Jin got added to TRevo a while back. :x

Actually, Famitsu is reporting that she'll be available on December 19, though that's likely only for Japan. I'm sure Europe will get her shortly after that and then North America will see her added later, much like they've done with other characters.

I think so. He just needs more experience but in terms of pure skills and rushdown he is better.

Speaking of. Is he still with EMP? Some are saying he isn't and there is no official word.

Knuckledu? He's with BIFU

Glad Art also likes the QC ballroom. I've been telling people for a long while it's a nice, big, and surprisingly cheap venue. The only issue Is you can't rent it out as late as fighting game tournaments tend to run. Hope more people consider running events there.

Sup Gaf. I'll be streaming from the new E-Desportes Bar in Manila tonight on iplaywinner's channel. AK the 13 year old Tekken Phenom will be playing some matches along with Garrett and his crazy Spiderman/Rocket Raccoon/Dr. Strange team.
