That's the place where things are built. If there are other places, I don't know about them.

I haven't found a way to craft the new lantern back item either. I looked in the game files, and it's supposed to be crafted at the workbench with 15 iron, unrefined wood, and some pixels. It's called Lantern Stick. It hasn't shown up for my existing character or a new one I made. Also, Matter Blocks don't seem to actually be the Matter Blocks used for the recipes they're in.

No, it should be fine left there. The game just reads the one that is loaded first, it doesn't care about any others.

I tried to replicate how yours is set up exactly, but I couldn't replicate the problem. It might be something else you have that is conflicting with it.

I just deleted and reinstalled starbound. I put mods/Lissarsmods and than edited the bootstrap.


I can select hairstyles but still get the green box of generic for the sword.

This is after a fresh install..=(

That's so weird. :< I can't figure out what the problem might be since it's not happening to me at all. No one else has mentioned the problem either. I tried to find out if I had any extra files in my default assets folder, but I couldn't find anything.

Anyone else want to try installation and see how it's working for others?

edit: Deleted game and redownloading it to see if I can replicate the problem with a fresh install. Wooo 50MB internet!

edit 2: Now NONE of my mods work and I can't figure out why. I'm too sick to deal with this. :s

edit 3: Individual mods work, but the set does not.

edit 4: Put the mod collection back in and tried it. Works perfectly like it did before. I haven't changed anything. What have we learned here? Absolutely nothing whatsoever!
 
Anyone wanna check out a random spot? If you go to -36420944 , -89241895 in alpha iota-2 sco 403 III there should be a prison not far to the left of the spawn. The inmates seem to drop completely OP weapons. Like I got a hammer that did 108 damage, but pretty much everything that drops is 60+ DPS. I have to assume that something went wrong here.

edit- It must be some glitch tied to the old damage system. I had already been to the prison and the inmates had already been generated with crazy powerful weapons. When I went to a desert planet nearby, there was a prison there and all the inmates had normal ~9 DPS weapons.

Trying to get the monado to work with GAF bench mod, set up everything perfectly and adjusted for.

Can make the circuit and the wire for the sword no problem, but the sword itself? "perfectly generic item" i've checked all the recipe files and the play.config for any file name mixups, and it all looks fine...

not sure what's going on with it.
 
Pretty nice to get a legendary sword by coming across a mini boss stuck underground with ready made arrow slots for shooting fish in a barrel.
 
So the GAF work bench mod is pretty much done, just waiting on a response from some of the fine folk here for their permission to include their items to the list. Here are the newest hats as a tease.

Oh and by the way, the GAF gold helmet is going to take some real time and effort to make in game.

I really have no idea! It works without a hitch for me so it's hard to test for the problem.

Last time I had a similar problem (with the kimono not showing up, though it didn't generate a perfectly generic item) I had to copy some .frames files over into the mod folder. Might be something similar going on here, though I can't say for sure if there are any files the sword is using. Would be much easier if I could actually replicate the issue.

hmmm, ok so I had the same issue with The Chomper Mod by sqwarlock, just checked all the files, everything seemed fine and I changed nothing, restarted and it now works.

Very odd, still no luck with the monado though, if you're willing to try, i'm going to upload what i have right now, if you could try installing it on a vanilla starbound and help bugfix i'd greatly appreciate it.

I been fiddling with it Lissar..I notice that some items from vanilla player cfg aren't in the cfg in download in your mod folder..but I don't think that is an issue.

If I leave it like is and it gets fixed later..will it show up?

Those items were probably things added in this last update, so it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know if it will show up or not, since I haven't left a perfectly generic item in my inventory for long.

This is going to take awhile. I had to delete the game and reinstall, but it didn't install properly (most content was missing) so now I have to delete and reinstall AGAIN.

Welp, discovered the problem I'm somewhat embarrassed to say. There was a file missing! I had forgotten to include the projectile files for the sword. Of course they worked for me and no one else, because I still had them. (And now I don't have them because I had to delete my whole Starbound file to get it working.)

For now, change all the .sword files "projectileType" to "testswoosh3" and you'll find that it works. I'll get to work on recreating the OFFICIAL Monado swoosh animation.

Doh, the SP/MP sector unlocks really ought to be shared; I unlocked Sector X on the GAF server and I'd really rather not do the 4th boss again (mostly because the materials are a pain) just for the SP.
 
I can't even get the game to launch. Anyone know of a fix for that? Windows will come up, and it'll say "Loading" and be stuck there forever.

Have you tried running it as administrator, and launching it through the exe in the steam folder? I had problems launching Starbound the first time and running the launcher as administrator from the exe (not through steam) worked for me. If that doesn't work try closing steam and starting the launcher.exe or starbound.exe (or even the open_gl.exe). After I got it running the first time, I had no problems launching it through Steam afterwards.
